Anacs needs to advertise more and make their own price guide there is really no difference in grading skill, Anacs trained these other grading companies it was the first grading company. They are just horrible at business.
@@dontsleepable618 yes, I agree. I think they definitely need to work on advertising and becoming a bigger presence on social media. I think they fell behind because they are to “old school”
Yeah, I think it depends on how the coin looks as well. Cleaning probably does drop the coin down around 20-25% but it can be more depending on what coin it is. Thank you for the info.
Depends what coins you are grading. On your lower dollar value coins they are usually pretty close (within 10%). For coins that are a few hundred dollars and more the price will definitely vary more.
It depends what service you pick. They are running a special where you send in a minimum of 10 coins for $13 a piece. That is their economy service so the value of each coin can only be up to $500. Most of the regular services are between $15-$20 a coin. This does not include shipping which is usually $20-$30 each way. ANACS will charge at least $30 for return shipping. Hope this helps.
I sent these coins for grading because the overall increase in value from getting them graded was worth the submission price. There were a couple like the 1850 large cent that I threw in because I needed 10 coins to get the special price that ANACS was offering. This submission went really well overall and most of the coins had a huge increase in value which made them worth submitting.
I would have to disagree with you. For most coins especially coins that are worth a couple hundred dollars or less they run closer to 80-90% of PCGS and NGC. I think they are a great option especially for your lower value coins. They also don’t require a membership and are much more affordable.
Why? Waste of time and money. At the major shows you can expect 30 to 50% less for ANACS coins than for same grade PCGS or NGC and that’s before the latest theft scandal.
I would have to disagree. I’ve sold Anacs graded coins and most being closer to 90% of NGC and PCGS graded coins as long as they are not extremely high end coins.
To each there own. I personally like ANACS graded coins. They are pretty hard on grading (especially Morgan’s) and they are much more affordable. They are a great option for coins valued at $100 or less especially.
I think it depends what coins you are sending in to get graded but ANACS does a very good job overall and their coins seem to hold values close to NGC and PCGS. I usually say most coins bring about 90% of the value that PCGS and NGC get. ANACS has a pretty good reputation and are much more reasonable in price due to there not being a need for a membership. I feel like some people give ANACS a bad rap but their grading is strict and is very comparable to PCGS and NGC.
@@jadonnoble5621 also ANACS was grading coins before pcgs or ngc i think they were the first grading company If im not mistaken. Plus its only 15 bucks compared to 60 so it leaves you more wiggle room for profit in my opinion
ANACS is a waste of your money. If you break out a ANACS coin and send the same coin to PCGS or NGC almost every time the grade will much lower. This is why when it's time to sell it a smart dealer usually don't even want ANACS graded coins..
Thank you for your feedback. I would have to disagree with you. ANACS is a very good company and most of their coins still bring 80-90% of the value that NGC and PCGS bring. They have also been around the longest. I think they are a great option for those who don’t want to buy a membership and send coins on a regular basis. They are also more affordable and are a better option to send lower value coins in to get certified.
Well that to bad but go try and sell your ANACS coin at a coin show and you will be disappointed. I sell alot of graded coins and it's worth paying more for a PCGS graded coin. When we see a ANACS MS65 coin we really see a MS64 in a PCGS holder and most dealers see the same.
@@mitchellkranz5307 I understand where you are coming from. Dealers might not pay as much for a coin in an Anacs holder but many collectors will still pay fairly close to the same. I have sold Anacs graded coins and have done fine. They are pretty accurate on their grading and are often just as strict as PCGS and NGC on Morgans.
Anacs does a good job with dollars.I have used pcgs for years also. No difference in their grades. High end coins will go for more when selling in pcgs holders. Common date dollars not so much.
I would have to disagree with you. ANACS is a reputable grading company that has been around longer than any other. They are more affordable than PCGS and NGC and their coins still often bring around 90% of the value that NGC and PCGS bring. I believe they are a great option for those who don’t want to spend for a membership and save some money on coin grading.
The no FG is very common and you will have a hard time selling that coin at that price the issue is nobody grades those Kennedys and the grease error on those is not uncommon either now the no FG part is the better of two but even together not a lot
Thank you for the info. I have found that the only way to get good money for the no fg 1972 halves is to have them graded. I sold 2 of them on eBay and got pretty good money for them. If they aren’t graded many people won’t buy them but most graded examples in AU + seem to bring at least $100.

Yeah, I think it depends on how the coin looks as well. Cleaning probably does drop the coin down around 20-25% but it can be more depending on what coin it is. Thank you for the info.
I have one like that except no struck though Grease error
@@scottmonty1828 that’s pretty cool! Co congrats on
anacs vs pcgs pricing huge variance though.
Depends what coins you are grading. On your lower dollar value coins they are usually pretty close (within 10%). For coins that are a few hundred dollars and more the price will definitely vary more.
How much does it cost per a coin? To grade
Thanks
Nice
Just asking: why send all those coins to grading?
I sent these coins for grading because the overall increase in value from getting them graded was worth the submission price. There were a couple like the 1850 large cent that I threw in because I needed 10 coins to get the special price that ANACS was offering. This submission went really well overall and most of the coins had a huge increase in value which made them worth submitting.
ANACS IS the Worst in grading, about 40% less sale value. Good if all you want to do is verify they are real.
I would have to disagree with you. For most coins especially coins that are worth a couple hundred dollars or less they run closer to 80-90% of PCGS and NGC. I think they are a great option especially for your lower value coins. They also don’t require a membership and are much more affordable.
Nice 65
Thank you! That is the nicest raw Morgan that I have had graded. I was glad to finally get the ms65 grade:)
@@jadonnoble5621 I've had coins graded at all three services, ANACS grades as tough as the rest. Very hard to get a 65 from them
@@Jim-re3sr agreed! Anacs is very tough on Morgan’s. They are very underrated overall.
at 8:25 , that coin , I can see a G
Why ANACS?🤯
Because they don’t require a membership and they are more affordable.
I like the old soap box holders but the new anacs holders are so ugly
I agree. I like the soap box much better as well. I wish they would go back to that style.
I won’t buy coins graded by ANACS
To each there own. I personally like ANACS graded coins. They are pretty hard on grading (especially Morgan’s) and they are much more affordable. They are a great option for coins valued at $100 or less especially.
Deduct 20% being graded by ANACS
I always wondered why spend money to have something stuck into a ANACS holder?
I think it depends what coins you are sending in to get graded but ANACS does a very good job overall and their coins seem to hold values close to NGC and PCGS. I usually say most coins bring about 90% of the value that PCGS and NGC get. ANACS has a pretty good reputation and are much more reasonable in price due to there not being a need for a membership. I feel like some people give ANACS a bad rap but their grading is strict and is very comparable to PCGS and NGC.
@@jadonnoble5621I'd try sending a few of the high value ones to PCGS for crossover
@@DJbabynoneck yes, i might do that in the future. Thank you for the feedback.
Worthless grading. No resell value
@Jadon Noble that's fine... I'll get 3 to 4 times more for my PCGS, and NGC graded coins
@Justin Hughes sure you will bud
The no FG is very common and you will have a hard time selling that coin at that price the issue is nobody grades those Kennedys and the grease error on those is not uncommon either now the no FG part is the better of two but even together not a lot
And I just looked at eBay they are everywhere raw and only one sold in NGC holder 1972 d no FH ms62 for 299.99 so keep that in mind
Thank you for the info. I have found that the only way to get good money for the no fg 1972 halves is to have them graded. I sold 2 of them on eBay and got pretty good money for them. If they aren’t graded many people won’t buy them but most graded examples in AU + seem to bring at least $100.
@@jadonnoble5621 didn’t get that far in research but did notice ngc coins were the only ones that brought larger sums
ANACS is total crap.. I would never even consider buying an ANACS graded coin
I will have to disagree with you on that. Anacs does a pretty good job on grading and are much more affordable than NGC and PCGS. They have also been around the longest. Their coins might not bring the same money as NGC and PCGS but they usually bring between 80%-90% of NGC and PCGS graded coins. They are also much better at identifying varieties and errors than PCGS and NGC.

@@vabbe71 every grading company I have seen has graded coins incorrectly including ngc and pcgs. Humans are grading the coins so there is going to be mistakes.
