The scary part is if you are in a hurry at a coin show you can easily miss some of these little points to look for. You are naturally going to look much closer at a rare expensive coin but if you are buying a MS65 1881-s Morgan. My concern is not as much counterfeit coins as I am concerned about pushing a semi better coin up an extra grade for a better than average price below bid. This could ruin the market completely

I've actually purchased many Morgan and Peace dollars from this seller and can honestly say I'm pleased with them all. Now admittedly none of them have been thousand dollar coins of which I'd have been very, very picky. I have purchased a few four and five hundred dollar morgans from him but most were under a hundred dollars. He has I believe four levels.. pristine, superb, gem, solid. Pristine being the highest. The two pristine Morgan's I've bought looked exactly that to me. These are just my experiences with him, obviously others have had the opposite. People get caught up in bidding and it goes into stupid levels...you can't do that and expect to get a coin that justifies that stupidity. Doesn't work that way. Edited to add, I've found his pictures to be pretty accurate aswell.. As collectors we know you have to look at all angles to see imperfections..a straight on shot isn't going to show them..that's just how it is. I don't find his pictures purposely manipulated to cover flaws. For that you can look at Auction Kings and Morgan Dealer for obvious manipulation. Again, just my opinion after spending my money. I would also add that a 1911-P NGC MS64 Saint I bought for $17,500 in 2012 was sent out to CAC for a green bean designation. The coin was a good MS64 and maybe a 64+ but it was not a true MS65. With a green bean it took 10 years to find a buyer who paid $17,500 for the coin. I will never buy any coins from Stacks or HA whether offered in a straight selling price or in an auction. I am cured of any notion that rare coins and CAC stickers justify any price bumps. Rarity means nothing. Green bean coins are not worth paying big money for either.

I paid good money for both coins and found it impossible to get any return on my money. Both coins were sold for thousands below any price guide. I offered them to all the named players you mentioned. Stacks and HA were insultingly low. The lesson learned is not to buy $10,000 valued coins as there are no takers without being patient plus spending time and resources that make the juice not worth the squeeze.

Yep, that is another one. You might have a look at his revised feedback. It has to be done from an actual computer. Guys like him are cracking details slabs and selling them raw, 100%. Great southern coins do the same and they have a 99.9% rating but people have left negative reviews stating such but they have so many reviews they must go unnoticed which works for them. It’s a system these jerkoffs use where a majority of buyers either don’t know any better and or it’s too late by the time the coin comes back from grading for a return. Many are embarrassed to admit they’ve been had. They get away with positive ratings by accepting returns so any negative review is scrubbed. Bite the bullet and leave bad feedback. They make boat loads of cash scamming people and theres more con artists setting up shop on eBay every month. Any seller that alters the photos in order to deceive is a POS. Auction Kings are the worst but there’s dozens of sellers doing the same. The problem is people keep buying from them. I could go on…

I’ve made the mistake of buying from Denver Coins in the past. Never again.

This guys is 1000% a scammer. I won an expensive coin from him a few years back and neary got scammed. Coin looked completely different from the photo. His photos are inverted to create proof-like luster. The coin came in a cloudy, broken flip that was stapled shut but the coin had burst out. When I returned the coin he claimed that I removed it from the "original flip" and refused to refund. Thank God eBay backed me up. However he someone got my negative feedback removed, because I included the word "scammer" and you're not allowed to call names according to eBay policy. Unbelievable. Thank you for your video exposing these con artists. They ruin numismatists for many many people.

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience! It’s sad that the seller is photo shopping his coins. I’m glad you were able to get a full refund and everything turned out okay. It’s too bad that eBay took off your bad feedback. It’s obvious that he should not have 100% positive feedback.

@@jadonnoble5621 Yeah, I'm honesty surprised others haven't been able to make a dent in his business via feedback. It makes me wonder if he knows someone on the inside of eBay because he is clearly misrepresenting every raw coin he sells. I tried to reverse engineer how to do the same thing he does in photoshop and it's very deceptive. But then again, it's practically acceptable in the industry that everyone does "axial" lighting, which hides all hairlines and the true surfaces of the coins. However, the fact that he takes it one step further by digitally altering the photos is a hard line for me and most others.

Bought three morgans from this seller before. Two coins were nice but nothing like the pictures: one graded 64 and one 65. The third coin was cleaned and I returned it. Stopped buying from them because I like to see what I’m buying and their pictures are deceiving.

I can't believe he has 100% feedback. Usually these scammers would be at somewhere around 90% or 92%. He has to be working his butt off to maintain that 100%.
