I’ve been watching your videos for a couple months for tip and things to look out for when buying graded Morgan dollars. Just wanted to say thank you for the videos/information!! They have been a ton of help for my first graded Morgan purchase! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad I can help! I actually just purchased an another graded Morgan today. It’s an interesting semi key date that is extremely affordable in mint state. When I receive the coin I will make a video about it.
⭐Excellent Points! ⭐ Popularity is the key. Popularity = Demand. Demand compared to the number of survivors will determine value. The Seated series is one of the most overlooked series in coin collecting. Great Video!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 👍
Thank you! Yes, you are correct! I think people forget about how popular a coin is when determining value. I agree that the seated dollar series is overlook series. I’ve noticed after looking for one that they are definitely starting to gain popularity. It’s hard to find a good deal on one at the moment!
Spot on! Popularity is one of the main factors . Don’t sleep on the Early dollars - true Americana, have extremely low mintage and survival rate if you are silver dollar collector
Yes, I love the early dollars! I am really looking for a seated dollar. I would also like to get a draped bust dollar at some point. They are still really collectible but for their rarity they just don’t have the value that Morgan dollars have.
What makes a coin truly valuable ? That’s an easy question to answer: the number of collectors (at least two) who desire to own it. And I love the Seated Liberty Dollar series, especially in EF-AU !
Haha you definitely have a point. If at least 2 people want a coin bad enough, it can go crazy at an auction. I love seated dollars as well. I’m still looking for a nice example to add to my collection. Thank you for the feedback.
The PF64 is gorgeous 😍. I love toned coins, but the market is saturated with AT coins. NT has become harder to find. A lot are straight graded. I love Morgan's, but I got out of that bubble just in time. The MS67 is nice. The issue with eye appeal for toning cannot be measured in value. It just is what someone else is willing to pay & it's really not many even buying them do to this reason. I've seen and had Artificially toned in CACG, PCGS, NGC and definitely ANACS. The common thing is to use highly lustrous coins like 1881-S 1882-S MS65 and higher a lot of 1904-O & 1887-P the reason is the chemical they wipe the coin eats up the luster so they need to start out with either a high grade or a San Francisco Minted one as they are commonly very lustrous. I love Silver Dollars but I am back to PL's & DMPL's. From what I have seen in S&B Heritage, Great Collection's are that people want high grades and the toned coins are not going for any more than the grade unless it's a MS66-68's with insanely toned & rare coins. I just stick to low mintage and blast white Proof-Like or Deep Mirror Proof-Like 's. I want a a PF but they are expensive.
Thank you! That’s very interesting on the toning. I’m sure there are a lot of artificially toned Morgan’s in straight graded holders. I thinks that’s why PCGS and NGC give out so many questionable color even on coins that are probably naturally toned. It’s a weird market and tough to figure out value for sure!
Very informative video,it's very evident you have an eye for nice coins,if your wife is like mine she could care less about my coins, but has a good eye for purses, like I always tell everyone coin collecting is the best hobby in the 🌎 and can be very good financially as an investment if you educate yourself.
Thank you! Yes, my family is also not into coins like I am but they do respect the hobby. It’s definitely the best hobby in the world and can be a very good long term investment if you know what you are doing. It’s very important to educate yourself before getting into the hobby so you can have the most success:)

100% agree about the seated series. Seated proof dimes are showing up on ebay lately for around 500 bux. mintages in the 800 range

You forgot the most important trait, it has to be a cool coin.
@@zzyzxRDFwy15 you are right. Most cool coins are collectible and popular so I would say that falls underneath that.
