Fun fact, when Drake had a Degrassi reunion for his video “I’m Upset”, the guy who played JT wasn’t in it because he thought Drake was prank calling him and didn’t think the video was a real thing.
People always meme about the drake getting shot thing but this was actually a really good and one of the most impactful scenes for one of the most impactful teenage shows at the time. The characters had a lot of debt and backstory, as a viewer you got really attached and could relate to them so it was pretty shocking. Plus they took the trauma with them to future episodes and didn't just pretend it never happened like a lot of shows do.
