Hmm I think this is a second and wrong solution, if you solve it like this, it doesn't match up with the box picture, however the solution video of Eric Buffington does match up, even the video of Mr. Puzzle is wrong it also doesn't match up, and yes I have this puzzle and tryed all 3 solution videos, only Eric Buffington's solution matched with the picture
I accidentally got the pieces to separate simply by trying every possible movement. I will probably never get it black together that same way I received it. Very difficult and fun puzzle.
I got this thing apart on my own but needed a bit of help getting started on the right foot for trying to figure out how to put it back together. At about 6:00 he says to "push it a little bit." Does he have a cheap version or something? Mine doesn't push through like that. Luckily, it isn't hard to figure out how to manipulate it to get to the same place.
Indeed. I made the same mistake as in 4:35. After seeing your comment i looked for another solution, and there is!! Without forcing the pieces at all!!! Thank you.
I have been trying to master this puzzle according to your instructions. I have gone from beginning to end and back about 10 times now. On this last try, the long tail simply fell off the puzzle in the middle of the puzzle (as opposed to forcing the 2 tails to overlap at the end... which l found strange). Don't ask me how l managed this. I have no clue. lol
Received my Enigma puzzle today. After struggling with it for an hour, I decided to get some help from Mr Puzzle ! Strangely, it doesn't correspond to the assembly shown at the start of your spoiler in two ways. Checking the way it's put together at 1:04. I find that the tail - pictured at the dead centre of the puzzle, goes through the loop in the wrong direction. Your version goes upwards through the loop. Mine goes through downwards. The 2nd problem is that the Hanayama piece is threaded on the adjoining piece upside-down. Either it was assembled wrongly at the manufacturing stage, or my puzzle has been returned by a previous buyer who reassembled it incorrectly. Any hints on how I can get it apart other than by forcing it ? - Update = Just looked at Eric Buffington's solution to this puzzle and his version has the same configuration as mine, so I guess it doesn't matter with way it's assembled ? Following his solution, it came apart perfectly ! Thanks !Richard
Thank you for letting my know about it. Never compared my solution to other channels. After watching Eric Buffington's video i can say that his solution is correct and looks easier. Unfortunately, i gave my puzzle to a friend to play and can't check it now, but it seems my solution goes wrong from the firs assembling move and leads to a bit different result :) Now i have to make new video with correct solution.
I've reassembled the puzzle using your video so I'll use your solution. I'd rate this as one of the hardest puzzles I've owned, along with my Radix and Trinity puzzles. Three diabolical puzzles. I've come up with a way of solving the easier puzzles in a new way which makes them hard to do again - That's to solve them blindfolded !

There is a way to disassemble the last two pieces without forcing.

4:35 this move is wrong. you can do it without force. Here you skip one of the hardest moves in the puzzle. ^^

I can't even follow along because he's covering half the thing with his hand...

Mines also like backwoods. I got like half way through and couldn’t get it, looked up how to solve is and all there’s are backwards from mine 🤦🏽♂️

Enigma is really difficult. Definitely in top 3 most difficult Hanayama puzzles with Vortex on the first place.
Mine is a defect. Last piece couldn't line up to remove last move
I have this too, but why isn't the layout of the parts the same for me???
As others said, solution 2 is wrong. Mine is much tighter, you cannot force it without bending the parts.
Insane puzzle, they said no force but you do need force at one point, held me up for a bit. Reassembly is near impossible lol
I couldnt get past 3:23 how the heck are you doing it bc it's not working
Thanks

I would love to try it again with your solution but unfortunately it went straight to the garbage can after 15:00.

He did it wrong. There is a way where you have no resistance what-so-ever, like when he popped the tail around..
I just solved this one but didnt know the name of it so i got qurious about the name of the tingy, i just seached japanese brass pussle XD
It actually takes zero force.
