This puzzle cost me over $50k ,, First I threw the puzzle and broke the TV, I lost my job and I am getting divorced and need to pay child support, but I almost disassembled the puzzle. Only 18 more steps
Bought this puzzle at a local bookstore a while back, and it says it is 5 out of 6 difficulty on the box. Not sure why I bought one so difficult, as I do not do puzzles as a hobby or anything of that sort. I wanted a challenge I guess, plus it was shiny. :)I was able to get it apart, but had no luck putting it back together. It sat in three pieces on my desk at work for a year or so, and several others tried but also failed.I watched this video, going slow, and I somehow messed it up (I think). I *think* I was able to successfully get the AY into the Hanayama (around 6:30 in the video). But then the video says to put the tail of AY into the small loop of Hanayama, and says it is easy. But this is where I fail. Vortex is just always in my way. I'm wondering if I messed up when putting the AY into the Hanayama.Right now I'd be satisfied if I could just get everything apart and start over, but not having much luck with that. I'm wondering if boltcutters might not be the way to go here.
