- Hello everyone! Today I will be will be sharing with you the pearl cell technique mixed with textural art using an sunset inspired theme! In this tutorial I show you how I create the peacock pearls as well as how to make the structure to build on this mixed media piece. This is something that I have playing with for quite some time now so I'm excited to share it with you. I have learned lot and will be sharing with you some more info in some upcoming videos of what I learned and what I would do differently. I just have to say...this was such an enjoyable project to work on and I'm really looking forward to combining these techniques in the future again.

Materials I used in this demonstration:
1 - 14" Wood Round
Tri-Art Liquid: Naphthol Red Medium, Naphthol Orange, Quinacridone Magenta
Golden Fluids: Permanant Violet Dark
Amsterdam: Titanium White
NEW COLOR PEARL CELL RECIPE:
3 Parts Flood Floetrol - US
2 Parts Behr 7300 Satin Enamel - untinted
1-2 Parts paint of choice (or .5 part fluid paint)
1.5 Parts Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss (or GAC 800)
Pouring Medium for PUDDLE/POUR OVER/DUTCH POUR paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800
Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 4 pts PM and water to consistency (tube paint approximately 1 part water, fluid paint no water) (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc). If you are using fluid or liquid paints the ration is 1 pt paint to 8 parts PM.
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.

Gorgeous pearl painting and I think you should either go light or the purple on the bottom depending on what colour you want to have pop up the most ! I think the darker colour would show less of the ripples you have created , but what do I know lol ❤it’s just so beautiful 🎉
