I think that all the negativity about the ending will fade in time and after reflecting on it more. The conclusion is open ended enough that if more was made there's still material there, but if they wanted to stop right there it's fine. Gojo's famous "Nah, I'd win" was fulfilled, his dream was achieved. And Yuji reached Sukuna which is the reflection we see at the end. Solid ending for me 😎

Of course, I'm not surprised that some out here are even bringing up AoT and it's atrocious ending as a comparison. Since it's the same ol' "ah personally riked it, so iz must be gud" while ignoring all the flaws and simply handwaving all criticism JJK meat-riders do with their ending, by just labeling it as "M-muh negativity!!!11!1!1!!"

Eren’s timeline bullshit was one of the worst things AOT did since it just ruined the whole “why did you kill my mom” scene. Then the ending removed Eren’s agency and intelligence because he literally knew what he was planning to do, but the ending said he’s a dumbass and didn’t know what he was doing, then cries like a cuck for his step sister.

Him crying for Mikasa was a shock but makes sense. I think the whole point of the story was that no one had freedom. Kenny said to Levi that everyone is a slave to...and drunk on something. Even Ymir who was manipulating Eren the whole time....was just a slave. But I understand where you're coming from

@@godlyomen10 I think it was jealously, bitterness, Yuuji living the life he wish he had and was projecting his hatred full throttle on to him. He wanted to break Yuuji to what he was. I can see it in that lense because in truth sibilings or younger generations have the whole world and chances to become better then it previous generation or older sibiling but older folks especially those with unfortunate upbringing always want to break and tear down their hopes and dreams. (I'm sure we've experienced this once in a while, I know I have) Choso is literally the healthy brother who is proud to be surpassed while Sukuna cannot stand his other half(twin) being better than him. Sukuna was nothing else but bitter, yes bitter at world that cast him aside but bitter at Yuuji for having a better life, better opportunity than he did. And its funny to me how everything he was, was contradicted by Yuuji simply existing. Ive rambled but thats my final analysis of Sukuna. Him being at the bridge of reincarnated meant he now had a chance to choose a better version of himself.

Despite the many unsolved questions and plot points, Sukuna's characterization this chapter was good, and if u rlly paid attention to the Yorozu fight, this video would make complete sense to anyone, Sukuna losing means death and they were stronger, their ideology was right his was wrong, which is why he would give Yorozu everything bc he lost. Sukuna changing is completely in character, he's always been the strong, experienced, and wise archetype. Him being evil is a byproduct of that. What it took for Sukuna to change was simply defeating him, he was never rlly playing any type of role, just being himself. If ppl still say Sukuna is a 1D villain or a bad character then idk what to say, that's just a bad take tbh, just bc he had no "motivation" or a "goal" which is wrong. Overall I would give this chapter 5/10, mostly cuz of Sukuna and the parallel with the series starting with him and ending with him, very poetic but not much more.

Take for instance yuji’s domain where yuji tell showed the meaning in life and Sukuna understand that and simply does not care. Also a counter claim people would try to bring up is the many hint of Sukuna’ hien era experience. I’m not arguing Sukuna does not have a backstory that could have shown the reason for his actions, but I’m arguing that we never got to see any of the regencies or effect of his backstory because simply it was not show. This is seldom the reason Sukuna’s change was also force because he a character never reflected on his actions with care and simply was too underdeveloped to warrant this change.
