I can understand the journals being very important. Very refreshing to see a younger person understanding the concept of not repeating your mistakes. And seeing where you can positively go forward. We should all remember our history so that we don’t repeat mistakes. Which a lot of the world has forgotten.

Excellent review. There is a lot of creativity and fantastic workmanship in this build. I see there is a lot of insulation in the ceiling. I imagine the ceiling will look just as fantastic when completed as the rest of the build looks now. It's obvious that a lot of time and work has gone in to the build. I think the whole project looks awesome. It a tiny home with the truck attached to it. I really like it.

Excellent set up to be Off-Grid, lots of water/food/solar capacity and a toilet that only requires monthly clean outs! Love the house for the dog, and the practicality of the roof deck while keeping access to it only from inside the bus. Really enjoyed the tour, thanks so much for sharing the home and looking forward to the finishing touches!!!

Oh my goodness, I have been following your channel for years, dreaming of tiny house building, I developed a design for an off grid tiny house on wheels with two lofts for my daughter and I, and then the pandemic hit. I am a nurse and got the virus, left me with moderate disability, I have to get on the road for my daughter and I to spend time together and see the places we always have dreamed of. I switched to RV conversation build, and was disappointed by the low quality, and lack of carrying capacity. Still I persevere...and then I saw this video finally, was not able to see myself in anything but a skoolie, I am now looking at busses and planning a build, trying to find someone to pull out seats and raise the roof, etc You have already changed our life without even knowing us...we will be looking forward to seeing everyone on the road, thank you for giving us our wings💙💚💙

I love your bus! Wonderfully thought out layout and the Jeep rear window as a skylight is a fantastic idea! My brother and cousin were school bus drivers for about 10 & 15 years. Sometimes they’d drive kids to sports games at other high schools up winding two lane roads up to Big Bear California and surrounding mountain communities. They said it took practice but once you gain experience, it’s not so nerve wracking. Wishing you safe travels and I look forward to seeing your progress and adventures. God Bless!!

A few random thoughts: * Love the bubble window for your pet. Very thoughtful. * Does the hood above you stove vent to the outside? * Also, it looked like your Nature's Head toilet wasn't vented. * While we're on the topic of ventilation, have you ever considered an Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) system? * It would be nice if you spelled a budget total for how much this project cost. * As far as filming, it would be nice to have a closeup shot of the device you're using to keep your drawers shut and an exterior shot. Great job!

Loved the lay out and all the great info. Have you considered writing a book of plans to remodel buses for off grid? I think you would be wonderful at that.

WOW! I love what you have done. You really had a plan and I can see you easily living in your DIY Forever Home for 10 to 15 yrs. The upgrades are spectacular. I will save this video for future reference. My husband doesn't think I can live in a tiny home but I a really working my mindset on the possibility. I always watch anything Tiny Home for inspiration.

Seriously, I hope you ALWAYS put the lid down before flushing because germs fly everywhere on the toilet is flushed, it's a fine filthy mist. I saw a special on TV using a special camera to see all that missed going every direction. I know not everyone else using your bathroom will put the lid down and therefore I would keep my toothbrush hidden. Also it's been known for they screwed up roommate just stick the head of your toothbrush in the toilet. I saw that on TV when a guy kept wondering why his toothbrush was wet, he put a hidden camera and caught the dude! There was also a dude in an office who peed in the coffeee pot and was caught on camera and arrested. Sick, resentful, hateful people! E idiots...

Bus is getting there.. if you decide to put in a stereo i would Suggest a 5.1 HK or Bose home unit w/Bluetooth.
You can get a Great head unit for auto and a Dolby decoder w/Bluetooth but it comes at a premium cost. Also most head units thst are wired for back up and Side view cameras are over priced, compared to a dedicated system.
I'm rambling due to my love of Home Theater and Auto Sound Systems!!!

Shamefully, I do tend to fast forward through tiny house videos once they get to the technical stuff, especially if they're an hour long. Not so for this one. I watched every minute, and even rewound and rewatched parts to be sure I got every piece of information. I also saved this one to my tiny house page on Pinterest for rewatching and future reference. There's so much information here that I am certain I will need. In fact, I could almost duplicate his set-up and it would be fine for me. This is so well-thought-out, and is shaping up to be a very attractive home on wheels. The layout is so livable, the storage is sufficient, and it looks so spacious and workable inside, despite looking not so big from the outside. I love this so much, and will go off to see the other videos of this, to see how it's shaped up by now.

Thanks Chris - Tiny Home Tours; Very interesting. Love the bus. I find myself looking a lot at tiny home vids... wondering if I could ever live in one myself. Seems like there's a lot of space on your schoolie. I currently have a condo. It's small. Papers say its 565 ft. I'm not sure about that much. I've got to measure it out. Seems like your schoolie has more space. I like the idea of freedom. Just jump in your own home and drive down the road if one wants to. This condo has a ton of hidden due's and taxes and extra hidden club expenses whether I use it or not. Plus some of the neighbors are not cool. Some are. Some aren't.
Very informative. Thanks for the info about the lithium battery bank. And the high speed internet info. And the solar panels. Great vid. I look forward to the next one when your schoolie is finished. The heated floors sounds interesting but complicated. I'd like to know more. Also, how do you lock up good when leaving? Not to sound funny. I'm just seriously thinking about selling my condo and maybe diving into this lifestyle and how well it might work for me.
