I’ve lived in vehicles ( horse drawn wagons, buses, trailers , trucks etc) since mid eighties in the chill British climate. A tip for banking up burners to stay in overnight I find is to get some damp leaf mulch or moss and cover over your loaded fire before you go to bed. That will cause your fire to smoulder through the night and still be live in the morning and easy to catch again with a little dry tinder . Make sure you have a CO2 detector onboard and keep your stack pipe clear of residue too though ( of course) crazy now but good to see living vehicle life become a thing in 2019 when us “new age travellers” were considered scandalous and absolutely personas non grata back in the 80s/90s!!! Happy travels

Hi Claud Ward. I’m having a bit of trouble understanding what you mean about the damp leaf mulch suggestion Claud. Also the CO2 detector you mentioned was a good idea , although i thought it should of had a shout out as to where the detector should be mounted , because of it’s heaviness in comparison to air , people feel the ideal spot should be in a low lying position close to the initial fireplace/fire. You sound to me , to be a person of a mature age that has been there , done that situation type of person. I must say in the 2 year’s that has passed us by since you wrote your comment Claud , you have done yet more travelling & accrued many other life experiences to which i take my hat off to you for that & kudos to ya. I agree with you also about the Year’s of 80’s & 90’s respectively as they were great times. Being a late 50’s child i enjoyed growing up , being part of the hippie day’s & year’s , love conquers all approach to everything ( yeh man , piece man ) , & those types of sayings Claud , lol’s. Well anyway i hope this reply finds you well , i wish you the best , take care enjoy life like it sounds like you’re doing already , who knows we might on our travels one day lol’s , highly unlikely though just thought I’d chuck it in , lol’s. Cheer’s Claud…. Namaste!!!

Grandpa Raleigh taught me potatoe peels/skins added to fire clear out creosote in stove pipes better than anything! VIP to keep pipes clean always, knock on pipes to loosen creosote burn peels often on low to free fire danger in stove pipe...it's a scary memory of my young family on 2nd story above wood stove that heated entire home & pipe came through floor of our kids end of large room w/ all our beds n dressers. It was double piped w a galvanized steel surrounding hot stove pipe from downstairs to chimney on roof. So it was always cool to touch by kiddos bunk beds and they dubbed it their Family sticker pipe and for 13 yrs 4 kiddos decorated every inch floor to ceiling with stickers, SpongeBob ninja turtles Lisa frank rainbows, school photo stickers etc....It was a keepsake of their fantastic childhood w extended family in the most loving warm Godly family fun and friendly home sweet home we ever had! They wanted to take their beloved sticker pipe with them!! Childhood is marvelous with loving Godly adults following Gods laws with love & righteous good hearts! Bless our family Abba AhVee let your divine will be done and hedgerow of boundaries surround minister to & comfort protect all my family offspring homes cars and wherever they are at. Cover them with the precious blood of Yeshua Jesus Christ, Selah Amen💞✨✝️🛐🌹🙏💋.

Absolutely love the exposed copper plumbing for the shower but especially the curtain rods, I will be incorporating that into my build along with custom made curtains. If you ever get the chance get some olive wood for your stove it has a fair amount oil in it and very easy to lite, puts off a lot of heat burns for a long time and leaves very little ash but probably best of all it smells like incense I promise you will love the aroma it leaves.

I have lived full time now for over 2 years in my 25 foot class A Winnebago warrior with my little dog Tinkerbell. I decided I wanted to get out and live really live after I beat kidney cancer I decided to live like this. IM 59 started when I was 57. I have traveled over 30,000 miles and traveled through 8 states filming as I go. I film all kinds of stuff but my favorite is the creepy and the abandoned.
Love the way you did the bunks and the bathroom. You are very talented. Love the copper pipes! Great video!

Yes! We retired to a fixer up artist built house and first thing it needed was a new floor. Lot had cottage so we ordered flooring before we move into main house. I took many samples home from Home Depot. Tried chiseling, scratching, scorched, poured hot coffee on them, left soaking in that in sun for a week! Result was Life Proof survived it all. Nothing happend to the sample! We picked trail oak. As it’s NOT shiny like other brands. Not trying to keep up some factory shine that is time wasting. It looks like planks. Love it. Matched the pine planks on ceiling and other woods we have as a cohesive addition.

This is a great conversion. I enjoyed all the extra detail. Such an amazing family and I enjoyed the way they both explained the process. Thanks so much for the video, appreciate your effort. I'm in Canada so I can't enter the giveaway. Good luck to all those entered, woo hoo!!

Home schooling can be one of the greatest adventures that children and parents share. Adding the ability to visit interesting and fun locations is a super bonus. Best wishes to this awesome family and they're beautiful home on wheels.👍🙏

When I went to truck driving school, training in a cabover, the old timer instructor said to aim your right foot down the oil stripe in the road to orient in the lane. I told an aquaintence that and he said it really improved his confidence in his motor home.

What and where is the oil strip? Thx

@@peggygilbertsen9099 It is the stripe roughly down the center of the lane created by leaking car fluids, sorry if that wasn't plain.

This is such an awesome idea. In a perfect world I would have a skoolie in full working order, with all the fixings, and never ever ever again have to pack and move to a place that ends up being impermanent as well....this one seems great! A wonderful family....

This is beautiful. This is one of the first school buses I’ve seen that I thought “I could definitely live in that”. I love tiny homes but most of the bus is I’ve seen feel too much like RVs. This is stunning.

Instead of the tv, perhaps a projector would be good and it could work with the insulating blanket.

I like that it has so much seating room. And you have a nice kitchen. And there's some space for getting off by yourself.

That's the exact Honda I was taught to ride when I was about 8 years old I use to run alongside it and jump up on the center area and putz it all around camp standing up. To small to get up on the seat. Still got a scar on my knee cap the size of a quarter. Tipped it over and the exhaust pipe fried me.
