Micro cheating is definitely a slippery slope! Why would you do anything that potentially could lead to cheating? If you’re partner feels bad about a person you dm-ing, just stop. And definitely shouldn’t start dm-ing someone who you’re attracted to. If you genuinely love your spouse this is a small price to pay for him/her to feel more secure and confident in your relationship. You can boost your self esteem many different ways, that includes your partner, but doesn’t include online people’s attention. If you genuinely like that bikini, show that to your wife. There was plenty of times when me and my partner saw a really attractive woman, and just talked about her hairstyle or outfit, and if I wanted to try something similar that she wore.

Agreed. One meets and befriends people who are flirty with everyone, and other people who are not. And a good friend is one who treasures all of their friends' styles of relating.
