"Men Tend To Be Better People!" Pearl Davis On Feminism And 'Traditional' Wives

  • Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by RUclipsr Pearl Davis, 'Tradwive' and influencer Estee Williams, along with socialist and author Grace Blakeley, to discuss Emily Ratajkowski's recent TikTok explaining that being a 'divorcee' is a good thing and to debate whether women should go back to being 'traditional wives'.
    Estee suggests that not everyone should be forced to be 'tradwives' but highlights what she thinks is the "beauty" in being one.
    However, Pearl believes women would benefit from being traditional wives, with her saying some studies show how much happier women were when they adhered to 'traditional' gender roles.
    Pearl also added that the problem with women not being a 'tradwife' is that men are "better people" and the function of a family changes when a woman doesn't stay at home.

    The problem is society telling people what is acceptable. In the past we were told a woman's place was in the home. Today we are told a woman's place is in the career world. How about we quit telling women what to do and let them make their own choices without being denigrated because of those choices.

      Selective comprehension is your forte. Society has always told men where they belong too but here you are making it about women. Women these days think they invincible, special and nothing can be said about them not even a joke about them. Gender roles wasn’t only attributed to women it was both gender, but seems like women are the only ppl unsatisfied about their roles. They wanted their careers, they got it now and still complaining. Like I can’t find a single law that stop women from doing what men do, but they still complaining.

      One problem with that is that many of those women choose to try to tell everyone else how everything should be, hence the whole femenist movement we have today! They fight against the 'norms' of society and they are free to do so, but then they want to convert everyone else to their ideology like as if that is the only correct way to do things. Worst of all, they play victim if you say you disagree with them...

      Like Estee said, we have a really big problem with selfishness and "the self" in America that leads to toxic and narcissistic behaviors - which dont work in healthy relationships.
      America was supposed to be about individualism...which is supposed to be tempered and disciplined with respect to others.......but egotistic "self love" took over.

      Maybe the divorce rate is so high because of wrong choices by women of men? Women are the ones to consent if a relationship is going to be realized.

    • @graemef6852
      @graemef6852 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@ulrikjensen6841actually you are wrong. Women are the gatekeepers of the bedroom fun, men are the gatekeepers of a relationship. Women unfortunately give their value away easily when they are young, when they are older they demand a high price for something that they have already given away for free, and most men aren't interested in women when they hit 30+.
      It's called sexual market value, women's smv declines rapidly after the age of 26, mens value increases as they get older.
      Remember, women do nothing to become a woman, a man has alot of work to do to become a man.

    Everyone should be able to do what they want. If a woman wants to be a stay at home mum/housewife, fine. If they want to work and become a CEO great. If they decide after being a mum/housewife after a few years and want to go into the workforce, so be it. My wife has worked MOST of her adult life. its her choice. She took about 2 years off when our 3 kids were all little all 3 under 10, one not in school yet) and then after decided to go back part time. Once all our kids were in well into their schooling, she decided to go back full time. I supported her all the way! I'm a bloke who has worked full time all my life supporting my family and supporting my wife on whatever choice she makes for herself and our family. We own our own house, kids are healthy, we go on overseas trips etc.

    The lady with the flowery shirt is a classic example of someone who can't see past her own point of view and thinks everyone else's opinion is ridiculous or void. I live with the most wonderful woman imaginable. She's strong, smart & independent but also enjoys been dependent on me and puts 'us' before 'me', as I do with her. That's what modern feminists just don't get 'us', before 'me'. The different energies of the three women says it all really. Love the bit when she says "am I allowed to speak" having talked over the other guest incessantly. Entitled as well.

      I think that was the whole point Grace was making - From what you wrote, you are on the same page with her. Husband and wife have to put the marriage first before the self, but the idea of totally negating the self means in fact negating the relationship (because it is your self-worth that you are offering - that is the act of love) that Pearl has the same intense bias you mention as well but tends to also say flat out dumb things.

They both basically said pick what works for you and the flowery shirt lady just added on some nuance about how you shouldn’t be duped by certain movements and there is more to relationships then pure self sacrifice and she was trying to have a discussion about the points Pearl put out there. She didn’t belittle anything she just said that’s an actually really interesting thing to say let’s talk through that. But Pearl just kept steamrolling which made her look like a narcissist.

    I love being a traditional wife, but I live on a farm so in addition to cooking and cleaning I grow my own food, take care of the ornamental gardens, preserve food, take care of chickens, mow lawn, take the bins out, paint the house, make fences, do minor renovations. Take care of orchards and harvest. And when my adult children and their partners come to visit I cook up a storm. I sew, mend and knit my own clothes. I also homeschooled for 3 years. Ive had a busy and rewarding career adding value to our household and farm economy. If I was a trad wife in the city I would be extremely bored, unless I decided i I was going to make everything myself, bake bread, wash by hand etc. You cant blame women for wanting something else, especially when your children are no longer at home.

    • @Okunniger_Volker
      @Okunniger_Volker 7 месяцев назад +1

      In my opinion this is what a traditional wife was.
      I mean how is this little blip post industrial revolution where women could stay at home and do nothing (and it wasn't even close to the majority of the population), I just call that a kitchenaid housewife.
      Before the industrial revolution the majority of the work took place in homes all around the US, there wasn't a Nike or Reebok, labor wasn't centralized under corporations.
      Back then work was harder and it took both to get the basics done, today any one person can take care of a house and home by themselves, though this requires a lot of relying on corporations to provide things, food for instance is so contaminated from Apeel to cattle being fed 10% beef fat and pumped with gmo corn ect. So growing your own food is as far as health goes optimal though it takes a ton of work.
      That being said, women back then worked for that family unit, but that isn't needed to get by today, women don't need to work as a team to have a house or home at 19 or 50. The idea that women were oppressed by some patriarchy is false, they were oppressed by nature, even men who struck out on their own had a hard time if they lived and lived on very plain food on repeat. It would be even harder for a woman and definitely not ideal for anyone.
      That to say, what I define as traditional is not where a women works, but if she is focused on building that family unit and making it flourish just as the man should. How that's done depends on their values and hopefully they agree on those.

      Those sayings were from older women who grew up in a time where they or their moms didn't have any financial or social rights, and thus had to put up with men and their shitty behaviour. It was deemed more shameful to be a woman who left an abusive husband than to be the husband who hit and cheated on his helpless wife, because God forbid you're a divorced woman because your husband beat you blue, it must've been your fault either way (think of the stereotypes from that time about women poisoning their husbands, says a lot doesn't it). Many parents didn't even want to take their daughters back after divorce because it was so shameful - mind you it's still like that in some European countries (where I'm from) so this isn't ancient at all. When the woman was financially free, she no longer needed a man to survive. Of course we all need companionship, but now women can choose you because you're likeable, and not because of your money or because of pressures from family to get married and have babies all before age 20.

    • @violett000
      @violett000 7 месяцев назад +5

      Also, as a woman, girlfriends are VERY HAPPY and excited for you when you meet a man and you seem happy with him. At least in my experience. Women still idealise marriage and being mothers. It's when women go on date after date with horrible men or learn that their long term boyfriend is so lazy, messy, inconsiderate and selfish once they move in, get married or have a baby that it starts to feel hopeless (I'm happily married so don't come for me), because apparently a lot of men aren't raised to be somebody's husband, just fuckboys with no responsibility. And lots of men are stuck in the past where they think their money is enough.

      When you are a man and a woman, it may not be a recipe for a happy successful relationship.
      If you are a gentleman and lady, you have a chance to have a happy successful emphatic, grateful, and decent relationship, loved by your neighborhood.
      Being a gentleman is a choice and being a lady is a choice.
      I read a quote: "Being a male is a matter of birth. Being a man is a matter of age.
      Being a gentleman is a matter of choice."
      The same is about women.
      I wonder if a non-gentleman marries a nice lady,
      how the job of a lady may be fulfilled properly if he isn't acting accordingly.
      Or if non-lady marries a gentleman, how the role of the gentleman can be fulfilled, if she doesn't give enough empathy to the gentleman.
      Maybe better is to not talk about it but start to learn to be ladies and gentlemen, so more marriages will have chances.
      Stop being just thinkers and start being a doer, lead by example, or be inspired by nice relationships.

    As a father of two - I can say that my wife and I constantly share the responsibilities and agree that marriage is an equal partnership. My parents who are very traditional think that our entire life should be dedicated to being with our kids and helping them with their homework and not having a social life. I simply don't agree and think that life doesn't end when you have kids, it only begins and with so much time being dedicated to raising our kids, it's even more important to have time for yourself. Similarly with women and marriage - it's so personal because everyone's born different. Everyone has somethign they enjoy doing whether it's cooking or going out and working, there's no one size fits all solution. This conversation really hasnt' done a lot to prove anything and was more about 3 women getting their personal opinions across for their specific age group and social status. Why these three women and not someone older or younger? Why limit the time to discuss it? Have a 3 or 4 part series to go overa ll aspects of this topic if you really want to bring it ot the table.

    It is possible to seek happiness. It is a fruitless exercise that is doomed to failure. The simple reason being, happiness begins and ends in the mind. It just sits there doing nothing until one applies will. The will to overwrite our perceived circumstances with a better understanding. Happiness is a choice. If we are not always choosing happiness? There can be only two reasons. We have lost our will. Or we have lost our reason. I also leave open the possibility that there are people on this planet who have never looked inward. Saying things like men tend to be better people than women is quite a statement. Why? Are they less violent, commit fewer crimes, volunteer more for their community, are convicted less often for human trafficking and sex crimes? To share my view, I believe everyone should have equality in dignity and rights regardless of color, gender, and disabilities. Being a homemaker is a knoble pursuit. However, Pearl shows no sign of following her own offensive opinions that she throws around carelessly about how women should be quiet, serve their husband, and allow their husbands to cheat on them. She makes quite a lot of money in her social media businees of putting women down despite being one herself and she shows no sign of becoming a housewife like she claims women should be. Please note, I refer to her other videos as she holds back her offensive dogmatic views in this one. She holds no expertise in anything she talks about and gains popularity simply by being the loudest and most offensive. She is not someone that people should look up to as her views are harmful to both men and women.
