Looks great, sounds great, but can’t justify the $1,300 price tag. Going to have to go with the Partscaster for now. I’m not sure if other guitarists feel this way but it’s a shame that the “Mid-range market” is virtually nonexistent. Sure some Squires these days are just as good, probably better as the Fender Standard series from years past. But to be able to get a great guitar for only $500 out of box with the same name on the headstock as your musical heroes motivated me so much to practice and play like a pro.

I paid $1000 for the same guitar with all American parts. The neck plate is the blink bunny. This price is realistic for the fender made one but not justifiable when you can make the same guitar (not authentic) with better parts. You're paying for the collectable.

Mike Mushok is my favorite guitarist and he is the epitome of the last part of your comment. In the beginning, he had a signature Ibanez MMM1 baritone guitar, made in Korea, that he himself used on stage. I own the guitar and its one of the best guitars I've ever played. He next went to PRS and made a signature SE baritone with them (also built in Korea), and he used that guitar for their entire album they released in 2011. And he still uses that same guitar when they play live, no gimmicks, no custom shop. Just simple PRS SE guitar. That PRS SE cost brand new $665 I believe, and the Ibanez brand new was around $700 or $800. Both prime examples you can get premium quality guitars for well under $1000. Thank God for players like Mike Mushok.

Absolutely. Almost $1,300 for a Mexican made guitar just isn’t justifiable in my mind. The prices Fender is charging now are wild. I paid $429 for a Mark Hoppus bass in 2003 and, if I remember correctly, the Tom Delonge strat was the same price. Adjusting for inflation, that’s $710 today.

It is a very cool guitar but the price point is WAY to high. That guitar should be around 800. I can't justify that much money on the most basic of strats. No hate towards Tom, Fluff or anyone else who buy one, just my 2 cents.
