I like the casualness of knife painting as it really leans into subjective impressionistic values. A southwest style knife painting would be nice especially that canyon walls seem look as though mother nature took a knife to them.

Wonderful video! I've been landscape painting for about 18 months. Each time I paint a sky, I hear David's voice telling me to add atmosphere and interest.
I add mountains to all my paintings. I live close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, so mountains hold a special place in my heart.

Haven't completed a painting with a painting knife yet but will try one day. Have a good evening & take good care.

Very exciting watching you create. It seems that the secret to painting is developing sensitivity. Sensitivity to color variations, texture and lights and darks. I have noticed that you use a lot of lavender even in the landscapes. I have started looking at shadows and colors in real life and see more lavenders and color variations. Thank you for your help.

Awesome painting and love how you share so much information and techniques on exactly how you are painting. I have learned so much from you on painting mountains and reflections in water. Since I have a special love for painting landscapes, I have ordered the landscape set of the Heritage paints, mediums and fusion brushes and can’t wait for them to arrive! Then I will be practicing and practicing. I enjoy painting with a brush with some pallet knife added. Thank you so very much for sharing your amazing talent!!! Bless you and your family!

Your instruction is not limited to oil or acrylic paintings. Many are a help with both pastel and watercolor as well. Many thanks..
