I really enjoy your lessons and channel. Practical advice and lessons to enjoy guitar right away.
Hi Ricky have you got any videos about the art of improvising over blues backing thank you
Eyup Ricky, do you do privat one to one lessons?
@@tjukkv I
Love your book. Love your lessons. Keep em coming Ricky Thank you
I have struggled for years trying to play over chord changes. This video is a godsend. I use that chord all the time but never connected the house of blues scale to address the changes. You Sir are an angel. Crack on mate- good on you.
Ricky, without a doubt , you have the best lessons on RUclips. Just the right blend of fun, technique, theory, in small manageable, logical steps ! Each one makes me a better player. Each one makes me enjoy playing more.
Thanks for all the help you provide for struggling guitarists, it is the best !!!
Thank YOU for watching, Michael
Did I hear you say "...middle finger on the G-String" while keeping a straight face? That's worth a like and a sub. The Blues is a bonus.
Thanks for this. I've been using that chord shape for a lot of things, especially blues. You have confirmed what I have already learned. I'm grateful.
Looks like a d chord moved up a couple strings and up a couple frets . Pretty simple and very cool . Sometimes simplicity can be complicated but we do it and that's why they call it the blues , dig it !
I actually shot that but cut it out in the edit!
Wow. So simple but so powerful. I'm a novice player so something like this will keep me motivated on the guitar for a long while...
Thanks Ricky - just brilliant! I love that this is simple enough to take and use right away.
I like that I can follow your explanations. You're a bright spot, sir!
Thank you for making the helpful lesson for us Ricky.
Wow! A really great tutorial. Thank you Ricky!
Hello Ricky. Absolutely phenomenal lesson
Absolutely brilliant 👏🏻 thank you man
What inspired trickery is this! Thank you for the shape and even more for the House of Blues.
Yes please, more easy blues lessons like that one thank you. 😀
Eyup Ricky, now tha's rockin'! Many thanks.
I love your videos. You make theory so accessible and have a fun way of presenting. I need to watch more of these.
Nice blues jamming Ricky, great lesson too..much appreciated..
Nice recap on the basics. Thanks
Excellent lesson, thanks ricky
This is great Ricky, many thanks
very good lesson, easy to understand, stayed on point, and played very nice too.
Very nice Ricky learned something new today thanks!
Ricky, excellent way to teach with your examples like "house of blues", The Only change I would suggest is that you start the intro by actually playing the blues chords in performer mode fully before getting into teaching mode. Just a suggestion and giving the PDF is excellent take-away also. Thanks for sharing...
I get lots of comments about wasting time playing in the intro. I can’t win! The trolls come out and comment why can’t I just get into the lesson..
@@rickysguitar Rickey, didn't mean to be a troll, it was just a suggestion. I personally like to hear what I'm learning so I know how it's supposed to sound like. Peace -
Not suggesting you were trolling. Trolls are rude and sometimes damned nasty. You weren't! S'all good :)
Absolutely brilliant
Great lesson thanks. 👍
LIGHT BULB MOMENT! THANKS!!!
i just ordered youre book my friend. very nice lessons! thanks

Great lesson Ricky, many people will be inspired by this lesson, playing blues doesn't have to be difficult.
Thanks again for the great video! Your videos have given me the urge to learn more theory, thanks for the inspiration
Thank you for watching! It means a lot!
Hey Nice Lesson, very clever approach. The less I have to think the more I can just play! Thanks!
Lovely lesson on blues using a more sophisticated group of chords. Thank you
Killer Lesson!!
Thanks again Ricky for an interesting though challenging lesson. I'm off to practice.
Oh man, I love this!!!
Fantastic thank you
Very well explained 😊👍
Awesome. Best 10-minute blues guitar lesson ever.
Absolutely awesome lesson, thanks dude! ✌️

Nice one Ricky 🎸🤟
Extremely helpful even though I’m not a huge fan of blues at this stage of my learning process
Fantastic !

Super cool!
Great job. very interesting
Thx man 😎
Thanks and kudos on a fabulous lesson, Ricky. Extremely well organized, effective and enjoyable. Wish I had had you as my teacher.
That's an awesome idea. My blues solos have missing those chords you mentioned (4th,10th &12th frets) and the B.B. boxes. 🙂
I found your vids and now in just a few days in, my fingers are sore. Thanks for turning on my light again
Fun! Thanks.
Great!!!
Love it. Thank you for the inspiration. Thank you my friend. Peace, Love, Namaste
Wonderfull , Simple and exellent lesson! Thank a million!☀️💥🎵🎵💥☀️🇩🇰
So simple but nice thx.
Yes, I would call it 'The Feel Good chord and shape' - for anybody to play without thinking.
Looking forward to putting this into practice cheers
Fun. Thx👍
Dude! Very cool.
Made me smile!
I just found you, Mate. Brilliant lessons. Subscribed instantly and eagerly look forward to more great stuff. Cheers from 🇨🇦

Great Lesson! Thanks! Subbed with Notifications!!!
I dig this type of content!
Ey up !! Keep em coming Ricky
Eyup Clint. Will do buddy!
I have three Strats that I love but I want a Pacifica every time I see you. Damn it.
this was SO much fun!! BiG thx from the Middle US!
Nice 😎
Thank you
Another like and another comment! I am trying to help you out Ricky! I bought the book and I a learning a lot! I am building the chords in garage band and arranging the changes into the 12bar blues. This really helps me play along and work on the licks...
Not bad would take me a long time to learn thanks 👍
- Excellent
I like these kinds of chords on acoustic
Eyup! I really like this Ricky, the analogy to Train & tracks is very effective , I'm definitely going to be coming back to this Platform to keep on Track! Thankyou.
Eyup Rajesh! Yes the train tracks thing is a top tip! Most of the time we use our eyes to find our way around the fretboard but neglect how fingers on strings feel and give us feedback. Thank you for watching :)
Absolutely genius! John Mayhall in disguise?
A blues session that stands up to anything with a tweak here and there, on stage!
I love it! No overthinking chord shapes so you can focus on singing your heart out!
Great lesson. Subbed.
Excellent. Thanks. I can do that✅ 👍☮️🌞🌟🎸
It a great teacher
Very Cool.......
Damn, this has got to be extremely useful. I'm also thinking it should be a lot of fun as instant gratification tends to be..... Thank you
EYUP! My audience, Arrow the dog, didn't leave the room. I'll keep practicing this one. New chord for me. A plus moving up and down the neck. Thank you. Finally, calluses on my fingertips.
