could you please explain how to draw a character within an environment? and how to know the perspective of a pose? (I always struggle when practicing)
Don't know if this got answered in a later vid but a few tips came to my mind.
1. Construct the body with basic forms. This makes it easier to layout the pose within your perspective and readjusting parts which get foreshortened or tapered quicker. A lot of this is trying around until you get a feel for it.
2. This one depends on your style. I usually work within 2 "modes": super subtle and super extreme. Subtle means the pose doesn't require perspective at all or at least very very little. Extreme means the parts that go towards the vanishing point almost disappear in the distance and the parts in the front take up a huge amount of space.
3. The almighty Coil-Technique. Look for Scyras video on this. I don't think I can post links here but searching on YT for "Sycra Coil" will give you the vid as the 1st result.
4. I often struggle with floating people. The feet just don't look like they're touching the gound. It usually helps when I add context. Something which is easy to get correct in perspective that sits on the ground and is around the same hight where the feet are. Also, try overlapping things. The character covers a bit of a lamp post in the back and a garbage bin covers a part of the character.
I hope I could help a bit but remember I'm not that much of an expert and more of an idiot.
Clicked immediately, love your art! The reference Wednesday series help me so much! Thank you for posting these!
So glad to see Ref Wednesday back! It's been a major inspiration for me!
The way you break down poses is amazing! And it’s so cool that the human body can makes poses like that. Thanks for these ref Weds
🙌 Been waiting for this one. Also just ordered your book! It was available for shipping to Norway last week. Can't wait for it to arrive.
You’re so good at anatomy, it’s crazy, I definitely need A LOT more practice 🥺
Your art is fabulous! ✨ Anatomy, character design, ect. Thank you so much for posting cool and informative videos! 👍
I looove these videos ❤. Reference Wednesdays help me out because you are my NUMBER ONE inspiration for my art style… and the proportions tips really helped. I also look at things in relation to the torso, like you had said… Amazing, love your content 🗣️🗣️
Beautiful poses to draw. Thank you for the help!
I love these videos! you draw so damn beautiful, even these hard references, love it ❤️
Liked and subscribed, you do absolutely beautiful work. I have been drawing off and on for the past 8-9 months and have made some progress. Looking forward to more vids.
So happy RefWeds are back! And this pack, oh my gosh, so cool! As usual you nailed it with your studies, amazing job! I do tend to draw the head bigger too, must be the influence of manga style, but I don't mind because I like to add lots details in my drawings (it's not a good thing for studies, though 😂). Can't wait for next episode! ❤
Hi I'm a new subscriber! Just wanted to say I love your art and have been enjoying going through all your videos. I got so excited when I saw you made the illustration for the Clip Studio Paint Summer Fun contest 😁
I saw a RUclips short about how someone's height is the same as their wing span, makes sense to look at arm lengths to gauge proportion!
Like using heads. Its still variable and a generalization. Use what works for you.
lol, I have a problem with big heads too!
omg I was just looking at pictures from when I was young and thinner (and very petite) thinking about how big my head looked 😂
Hello! love your work, it's so good ! I would love to know how do you draw from imagination instead of having a reference? Your way of drawing figure reminds me of the great teacher Will Weston's 😊
Hello, could you explain how you do such simple yet very clean shading? I really like it a lot. It's something that would help free up a lot of time for me and others, I'm sure. Great video! New sub!
I still wish you made sense to me...maybe then me buying your pack would have actually helped me progress as an artist instead of leaving me confused
What're you talking about? The tutorial pack? I can try and explain if something is unclear, but you gotta ask a specific question 😅
Hello. I am new to this ❤

Hey, just wondering, are sweet and zero in school with everyone else? And how old are the main characters?
