God bless you sir, you're doing the Lord's work out here. A million other videos and none of those idiots would check if landscape mode would work in the app, i.e. turning the phone on it's side to get a better and larger image. THANK YOU!!!
Thanks man appreciate it. Was wondering what series would work. I looked all over RUclips for that. You should make another video and put that in the title... Not for me but to drag more views to your channel. I don't think I'm the only one looking.
It makes me happy to know someone else is using this technique been doing it for years and never had a problem works great only been driving a few years. Senior drivers laugh at me but when I can get it in the dock or hole a lot more efficiently than they can they shut up real quick
Bro I am doing this! I will use it for highway use I am sick of tail gaters road raging me because they follow to close. I am getting this!!! Can't wait to start a better easier journey to easy backing I am in to this 👀!! I didn't even think of this
IKR? These days companies have their truckers surrounded by 4, 5, 6 cameras facing every which way including inside the cab, but none for backing. Edit: it might be a pain in the butt when you’re switching trailers. You would have to easily connect from one trailer’s camera to the next.
I have tried this with a GoPro Hero 4. I cannot get it to keep a connection with my phone(iPhone 15 pro max) when it’s on the back of the trailer. It does work with the Quik app.
Question for you, just to make sure i understand. You can see the live video while you drive? Do you have to be recording or its just a live feed where u can see while driving
nice job i'm going to try this with a gopro my kid left here and mount it to my front grille to hopefully help me line up my fisher plow ,i have been using a laser pointer that i duct taped to the dash but it doesn't look so great
35 to 50 ft ... obviously those must be safe, factory stats and assume ideal conditions. Typical truck trailers are 53 ft. Add another 10 to get to the phone in the driver's seat. I'm surprised he's getting such a consistent and clear signal. Still, it seems good enough to strap on a trailer just before a tight, technical, blindside back. He just needs to look into a better mount system. Maybe a magnetic one? Pop it on. Do the back. Get it off and stowed, ready for next time. ...still, the idea of always having eyes in back is intriguing and may very well save a driver's bacon if there's ever an accident. As cheap as cameras are now, hopefully newer trailers might start having them wired in and run to the onboard computer system via the pigtail. That way, wireless connectivity wouldn't be a problem since it'd be directly connected.

Definitely more efficient & help driver be safe
You would think they would make a removable wireless backup camera for truckers who have to change trailers. It just easier safer and faster.
@@andyconnor2884 - Agree
is it possible to set the gopro to see actually corners? Like using on ultrawide mode, or idk

I’m kinda shocked that with all that standard trucks come they haven’t made a backup camera as a standard yet. I mean almost any car has them lol

I always wondered if that would work. Thanks for the info!
You’re welcome

Can you mirror the footage when live preview

You can see live feed & also record the live feed
Thank you!!!! This helps out a lot
Does that have the option of a bird eye view?
I bought a drone when I first started but only used it maybe 3x. The battery dies fast

I tell you, Creative… 👏🏽
Thanks
You have no problem with seeing video from the truck to the end of the trailer / no interference because they are far apart ?
Not really
@@truckerl. Do you think the newer models are going to be able to do the same ?
The Bluetooth doesn't reach the 53' of the camera, explaing how you did it, thanks
It’s does for me, although the connection sometimes get lost
Every how long you need to charge it? How many hours of use it gives you?
How it’s works ? With wifey? Do you pay monthly fee for WiFi?
I thunk the GoPro connects directly tty your smartphone through Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi. No router/network needed.
I think its mainly used for backing up into a tight spot
Great video safety first ..
Thanks
Great video
Thanks
Nice setup is there any idea to set the camera securely for it to not be taken maybe a higher position?
Suction cups and stick them high up or there's mounts that stick to one spot and they're stuck on there with adhesive
Pretty smart. How much is the whole setup?!
Thanks, probably $500 - $800, depending on what you get
Walmart has a go pro 5 hero I believe
Great 👍 idea 💡
Thanks
Genius
Thanks
How long does the battery last

You’re welcome
What is the exact go pro called

You’re welcome
