The only heterosexual omegaverse that has even a smidgen of a chance of being tolerable is alpha woman and omega man. I'm wondering if it will be guideverse or dom/subverse that will be co-opted by het romance next.
@Z-FishInMyBreakfast Omegaverse is already built on a very sexist and frankly often questionable foundation either way, but the only thing added to heterosexual romance through an omegaverse setting is the justification of sexism through the a/b/o dynamics (because lets be real, the man is gonna be an alpha 99% of the time) and the more animalistic part (heat, smell etc.) Meanwhile gay omegaverse at least opens the possibility of a gay couple having offspring, so there is some actual gain through an omegaverse setting, it's not just "real life but somehow worse"
AI is very useful, but right now it's going through a really awkward stage where people aren't using it correctly. Its output is useful as a tool to assist humans, but shouldn't stand on its own. United Healthcare using AI to make final decisions was a big mistake. Although, it might have been useful as a tool used by actuaries to help understand the models. And TikTok is amazing.
The ammount of AI slop out there is just getting out of hand, its agonizing. And none of the 'publishers' take their devestatingly low ratings as a hint that 'their' 'stories' aren't wanted. 😅 Profit is profit, auuurgh its so saddening
THIS is what humans have applied AI's labor-saving potential towards?!? Artificial Intelligence should be performing menial tasks, not robbing artists of jobs.
The other way of looking at it is: the devastatingly low ratings are not putting consumers off using these products. I knew about AI knitting books and AI recipes, but I got caught out lazily buying AI wordsearch books for an elderly relative - if I'd checked the reviews carefully I'd have seen how trash it was, but I just didn't think it could be that bad. Sites you to these items on purpose, using specific reviews and highlights already try to filter how you view a product, and with the AI summary on sites like Amazon it's even more deceptive. It's almost like they're specifically exploiting ratings, and how trustworthy we think they are, to keep careless people making the same mistake, and for every 1 of alert me there's 5 of careless me
i wish omegaverse had never escaped containment, getting to make jokes like the iconic "is slick halal?" tiktok is wonderful, hundreds of energy wasting, data scraped, ai gen omegaverse "novels" tossed up for charge is absolutely miserable. also have a panging of regret that het omegaverse is now a huge thing, my culture is not your costume or whatever (this is a joke. please understand i am joking.)

95% of the joy of a/b/o stories are literally the process of writing them, they're so indulgent and unserious and low stakes. It's baffling to me that anyone would willingly consume ones that weren't even written to express a human being's unbridled cringe joy
Ai "writing" makes me want to get red yarn and a corkboard. With push pins as my sanity anchors. Old school Jerry Springer was more straightforward with "baby mama drama"
I swear "Luna" in a werewolf context is my Winter Soldier trigger word. Alpha, Mate, they all are annoying too but for some reason to me this "luna" concept is the pinnacle of what I hate about Werewolf Romantasy (thats actually just Dom/Sub Fantasies with a coat of paint). I WANNA READ ABOUT WEREWOLVES, NOT THE BARELY DISGUISED FETISH CHILD OF COLLEEN HOOVER AND TWILIGHT!!!
Being a fan of werewolves while also being completely uninterested in romance/smut plots has to be a cosmic joke played on me, specifically. There is so much more to do with werewolves than "tradfem-furry version".
@@lagggoat7170 This comment makes me feel seen. Hate romance and smut but werewolves are cool! It's so hard to find a good werewolf story that's not filled with that nonsense.
edit: long read lol - i bolded any titles I work at a library. It feels like every time I notice a werewolf-type book in the Teen or Adult sections, there’s always some romance plot going on… the Juvenile section gets the fun, non-romantic werewolf stories. And while anyone can read and enjoy Juvenile books… I want to see more stories like that actually directed at my age group. If you’re into webcomics, I might have a few recommendations: _Cool Lycanthropy:_ *How To Be A Werewolf* is about a woman finally learning how to handle her lycanthropy, simultaneously making her life easier (not being afraid of herself anymore) and harder (having to navigate this world of witches and werewolves that she’s been - figuratively - thrust into). The author’s stated that she doesn’t intend for the main character to ever have a romantic interest in the comic, but there are some side character couples. I find them to be alright. The comic started out in black and white but most of it is in color. Possible Dealbreakers: They do use the term “alpha”, but how real wolf packs work (i.e. as family units) is brought up during the introduction of the term. Packs are more of a legal thing than a dominance thing (so, more paperwork and less violence) and “alpha” is the term for the leader(s) of a pack. There is still fighting, but it’s usually either due to a specific antagonist or is just sparring for fun. Werewolves are not supposed to be harming anyone, including other werewolves. *The Glass Scientists* isn’t specifically a werewolf comic but it does have a werewolf character as part of the main cast. The comic itself is about a man trying to run a society for “rogue scientists” (unconventional/“mad” scientists, basically) to make them more respectable in the public eye, while at the same time hiding a huge secret from everyone (obvious to the reader once you learn his name). Probably the one I’d recommend the most as just a good webcomic. The author worked on shows like Gravity Falls and The Owl House. Possible Dealbreakers: The werewolf and another character are interested in each other. I don’t expect anything weird between them from this author though, and that relationship takes a backseat to the more significant relationship that happens later in the story. Maybe not for you if you don’t want to see the latter relationship/the lead up to it. I try to be indifferent to it because I enjoy the story otherwise. The above webcomics have some physical books out too, but neither series are complete because the stories are still going. They’ve both begun to near their ends after almost a decade though, and the authors post reliably enough that I believe they’ll make it there (especially TGS). _Tragic Lycanthropy:_ *After Dark* is a Webtoon comic. I’m not fond of the site and scrolling format but it’s the only place this comic is posted, afaik. It’s about a man infected with lycanthropy after he and his girlfriend are attacked. He deals with a lot of guilt about the attack and the person he is/was as he tries to make a new start for himself, and lycanthropy is treated much more like a curse that it is in HTBAW. Possible Dealbreakers: I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any romance in it but currently there is none. The girlfriend mentioned is part of the main character’s past. There’s some roadkill-level gore and a zombie-looking apparition. Other than that, it could be worth looking around the juvenile/children’s/youth section of your local library. I can’t remember every werewolf/shapeshifter book that I’ve ever come across but here are a few I’ve skimmed (and so can’t 100% recommend, but can at least mention): *The Witch Boy* A graphic novel about a boy who wants to be a witch, but comes from a family where boys are shapeshifters and only girls are allowed to learn magic. It’s part of a series that continues to follow this character. *The Wingfeather Saga* A mother mentioned her son liking this series. It might be spoilers to say exactly what the werewolf-type creatures are? But some of them end up being part of the main group. *Woodwalkers* This appears to be a series about a school for animal shapeshifters. Maybe you won’t be interested in anything I’ve mentioned - and that’s fine; these are all things I’ve stumbled across rather than sought out - but I figured I’d share anyway since I know how frustrating it is to be constantly met with romance and weird dynamics when you’re just trying to find a good werewolf story to read.
@@lagggoat7170 I love romance and smut but the way most of these books write "werewolves" is extremely painful, many times is just like reading a noble romance without a good political plot and filled with cringe aob nonsense. I once tried to make my own series of werewolves but in my research got stuck reading about African wild dogs lol

Ok, putting aside the fact that all these stories lack sensory details, consistently start with an exposition dump, feature extremely tired tropes, and are just the most poorly written slop, can we acknowledge the impossibility of a guy thrusting to the fibonacci sequence? I too paused everything and tried to tap out the rhythm with my fingers and clearly AI doesn't know how seggs, pregnancy, or the general human body works at all. @@leahdavis9434Webtoon is a Korean comics publisher and app. These online comic books have panels running vertically from top to bottom so they are very easy to read on your smartphone. Any vertical comic gets called a webtoon sometimes even if it isn't Korean or published by Webtoon. Isekai is Japanese for another world so in an isekai story a character finds themselves in an alternate reality like Dorothy in Oz. The hero has to learn about the new world they live in. Reincarnation stories are similar to isekai stories because the hero ends up in a new reality most of the time. Usually the protagonist dies in the real world and when they wake up they have been reborn as a character in a fantastical setting that is now real; they have to use their knowledge of story tropes to win at life. A villainess story is usually about someone being reincarnated as the female antagonist in their favorite story. Often the female antagonist had a bad fate just because that was the role the character was set to play in the story so changing the fate of the female antagonist feels like fighting unfair injustice. A CEO romance is a story where the love interest is a rich business man. Usually the CEO thinks women only want him for his money so he is mean to his dates. But the female lead is not out for his money so he likes her eventually. Usually there's a Cinderella element where she is poor because her relatives stole all her money or something and when she gets married to the rich CEO she gets to humble her evil step family or whatever.
If these novels aren’t AI trained on Cnovels/KNovels/JNovels then they have to be “official” translated releases. I’ve read endless transmigration and rebirth novels with these plot.
The audacity that these people think we’d pay $20 a week for ai stories is hilarious. I’ve seen stories similar to this written by actual people and neglected to download anything as I’m not interested in paying a bunch of money to finish a story that just makes me mad.
I almost think the quality thing is like a 419 scam--they're trying to filter out everybody with taste and good sense right off the bat, and of the people who genuinely heard the starts of these and went, "But I need to know what happens," presumably it's easier to fleece those people out of $20/week.
They can't, but that's assuming that like Tiktok, RUclips, the app stores, etc, are actually requiring legal judgments of copyright violation to take things down. Effectively, copyright law is whatever the big platforms say it is.
These things are also all over RUclips with AI generated pictures as scene setting. It's fun counting how many extra arms there are and where they are supposed to come from

I don’t understand what is up with this new werewolf lore where they all have an internal wolf which is a separate entity. These people need to read up on scientifically-accurate werewolf lore.
It's not strictly werewolf lore, it's alpha/beta/omega lore. There's the human intelligence side and the more primal "wolf" that's sometimes like a subconscious or lizard brain, and sometimes a separate entity like you said.
To be honest, I have wondered if I could get AI to write me a story combining some really off the wall stuff. I wouldn't expect it to be good, but I think it could be entertaining. I wouldn't share it, it would be just for personal entertainment. But I think that would make me an asshole so I've refrained.
Speaking of AI slop, I hope Amanda will cover how RUclips is now using AI in the Creator Studio (under Channel Content -> Inspiration) to generate video suggestions for you, and an outline for a video, and will even generate thumbnails for you. don't jinx us like that 😭 🙏 it's enough to hear people are making a.b.o. hetero AF, I can't bear w this timeline
Why is it bad when it’s heterosexual and not when it’s gay?
Why is it wrong when it’s het but ok if it’s gay?
(Idk why RUclips deleted my comment)
@Z-FishInMyBreakfast Omegaverse is already built on a very sexist and frankly often questionable foundation either way, but the only thing added to heterosexual romance through an omegaverse setting is the justification of sexism through the a/b/o dynamics (because lets be real, the man is gonna be an alpha 99% of the time) and the more animalistic part (heat, smell etc.)
Meanwhile gay omegaverse at least opens the possibility of a gay couple having offspring, so there is some actual gain through an omegaverse setting, it's not just "real life but somehow worse"
ai was a mistake. tiktok was also a mistake.
Two bad mistakes that make worse mistakes together lol
I think AI is arguably worse lmao
AI is very useful, but right now it's going through a really awkward stage where people aren't using it correctly. Its output is useful as a tool to assist humans, but shouldn't stand on its own. United Healthcare using AI to make final decisions was a big mistake. Although, it might have been useful as a tool used by actuaries to help understand the models.
And TikTok is amazing.
TikTok is the best app in 10 years, AI is waaaaaay overhyped.
@chels854 TikTok is QVC for kids lol
The ammount of AI slop out there is just getting out of hand, its agonizing. And none of the 'publishers' take their devestatingly low ratings as a hint that 'their' 'stories' aren't wanted. 😅
Profit is profit, auuurgh its so saddening
It's almost like they're specifically exploiting ratings, and how trustworthy we think they are, to keep careless people making the same mistake, and for every 1 of alert me there's 5 of careless me
Reddit stories are mostly AI these days too. Classic lines are "blowing up my phone" and "pregnant with twins."
Btw Amanda has stolen my content without permission for money and views!! And never given me any credit
i wish omegaverse had never escaped containment, getting to make jokes like the iconic "is slick halal?" tiktok is wonderful, hundreds of energy wasting, data scraped, ai gen omegaverse "novels" tossed up for charge is absolutely miserable. also have a panging of regret that het omegaverse is now a huge thing, my culture is not your costume or whatever (this is a joke. please understand i am joking.)
The het ones are pretty weird. I keep finding reverse harems ones with the theme. Like, i find it more resembles xenofiction than a dramatic story.
I died while Swell was trying to figure out how a Fibonacci sequence "rhythm" would work. Just howling, it was like a real life version of the math lady meme.
That sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen
Yeah, unless I'm missing something, that's just getting slower and slower over time until eventually you're not really doing anything for minutes at a time?
95% of the joy of a/b/o stories are literally the process of writing them, they're so indulgent and unserious and low stakes. It's baffling to me that anyone would willingly consume ones that weren't even written to express a human being's unbridled cringe joy
I like how the story just casually went "There was a gas explosion" like it was only a trivial event
It's so hard to find a good werewolf story that's not filled with that nonsense.
edit: long read lol - i bolded any titles
I work at a library.
If you’re into webcomics, I might have a few recommendations:
_Cool Lycanthropy:_
*How To Be A Werewolf* is about a woman finally learning how to handle her lycanthropy, simultaneously making her life easier (not being afraid of herself anymore) and harder (having to navigate this world of witches and werewolves that she’s been - figuratively - thrust into).
The author’s stated that she doesn’t intend for the main character to ever have a romantic interest in the comic, but there are some side character couples. I find them to be alright.
The comic started out in black and white but most of it is in color.
Possible Dealbreakers:
They do use the term “alpha”, but how real wolf packs work (i.e. as family units) is brought up during the introduction of the term.
Possible Dealbreakers:
The werewolf and another character are interested in each other.
_Tragic Lycanthropy:_
*After Dark* is a Webtoon comic.
Possible Dealbreakers:
I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any romance in it but currently there is none. The girlfriend mentioned is part of the main character’s past.
There’s some roadkill-level gore and a zombie-looking apparition.
Other than that, it could be worth looking around the juvenile/children’s/youth section of your local library. I can’t remember every werewolf/shapeshifter book that I’ve ever come across but here are a few I’ve skimmed (and so can’t 100% recommend, but can at least mention):
*The Witch Boy*
A graphic novel about a boy who wants to be a witch, but comes from a family where boys are shapeshifters and only girls are allowed to learn magic. It’s part of a series that continues to follow this character.
*The Wingfeather Saga*
A mother mentioned her son liking this series. It might be spoilers to say exactly what the werewolf-type creatures are? But some of them end up being part of the main group.
*Woodwalkers*
This appears to be a series about a school for animal shapeshifters.
So, it's pretty short, but Marie de France wrote a fun werewolf story. It's weird as hell but at least it's not romantic and it's definitely not AI...
These videos have terrorized my fyp for months no matter how many I block it’s the first thing when I open the app. Everybody in the comments enjoyed the stories and it actually just filled me with rage. Ur an icon for making a video on this cause NOBODY ELSE HAS
I've gotten them to almost completely disappear by just clicking "not interested" on every single one. It took about a month but now I only get them once a week. They send me into a rage every time i do get one though. Iwish it was able to be blocked.
Same, I keep pressing not interested but they find their way in somehow

Ok, putting aside the fact that all these stories lack sensory details, consistently start with an exposition dump, feature extremely tired tropes, and are just the most poorly written slop, can we acknowledge the impossibility of a guy thrusting to the fibonacci sequence? I too paused everything and tried to tap out the rhythm with my fingers and clearly AI doesn't know how seggs, pregnancy, or the general human body works at all. Then again, a lot of humans don't either...
Right? Like eventually, it wouldnt feel good for ANYONE, and after like 89, its probably gonna physically impossible lol
I wish more companies were transparent when they're using AI! AI literacy is so important, the problem is these apps target the most vulnerable populations. Some reports project that 90% of media is going to be AI generated in 10 years. That was 2 years ago. It's insane to see that slowly trending towards reality.
Seeing you slowly count the “rhythm” of the Fibonacci sequence in complete silence and confusion, followed by the “…what?!”
That broke me, and I’m in the office. Truly, that’s some Swell Entertainment.
19:43 When you ask ChatGPT to write a hit romance book for you, but the only prompt you give it are the words "the love hypothesis"
The AI just fully giving this man a math kink is WILD.
Absolutely lost it at the fibonacci sequence LMFAO
i am only just now learning mandy is short for amanda and to me billy and mandy is now william and amanda, thank you
Mandy as a RUclipsr, Billy as her editor is certainly not an AU I expected.
Watching you trying to figure out the pacing of the Fibonacci sequence had me in tears 😭👌🏼✨
I see SO MANY of these and they just print how deep the brain rot set in that it takes me a few seconds to recognize is an ad for this 😂
I remember when I first saw one of these ads. As someone who follows a lot of writers of various topics, it's infuriating to see how talented all those folks are who don't have the marketing capabilities of these companies pushing digital word vomit onto people and demanding money.
At the 20 min mark i was just _waiting_ for that song from that dude's fun time playlist that nobody could figure out the rhythm for to start playing
CBat by Hudson Mohawke. 😂
@ YES! THAT!!
Did not expect to hear a "Navier-Stokes Equation" namedrop in a video about an AI story all.
That’s such a crazy pull lol
The whiplash between this romance scene and my flashbacks to fluid dynamics class were wild
Choices Stories you play now is making ai book cover, body proportions look weird probably ai made and the smut story is like its been stolen from AO3
Edit: i also forgot to mention all new books and sequels are VIP locked meaning those who dont have VIP have to wait for the halfway point of the book and have to dodge spoilers
But it costs money!
Tween girls writing stuff like this is sacred. Cringey but a wright of passage. To have ai start doing this feels disgusting. We’re loosing recipes.
I like listening to your videos while doing my morning routine, but randomly hearing about Lagrangian Mechanics in an AI romance story nearly made my choke on my drink lol
Uh hauh hauh hauh hauh hauh.
I think i would be most upset if I wasn't able to at least rub it out if my new husband went on about Lagrange, but I'm not the AI writing this
Finally, an AI trained on only bad Chinese to English abo imperial romances
14:13 did the AI train on taylor swift songs or smth bc that's literally the only time i've ever heard someone refer to 6 years as a full "2,190 days" 😭

Oh OF COURSE it has stories in the omegaverse
Gotta have pregnanant in your slop story
The offices of Novel Short Stories has a letter slid under the door, marked with the signature of one A. Cain.
An employee cracks the letter open and begins to read
"To whom it may concern,"
I hate that I understand this distiction, but I don't think any of the stories Amanda looked at qualify as omegaverse fiction. There's no such thing as a "luna" in A/B/O stories. This just looks like your standard Wattpad-esque werewolf romance.
I'm so upset. I can't believe Darius Bloodmoon is cheating on me!!! 🤣
As a physics student hearing about Lagrangian mechanics on this channel feels like running into your teacher at the grocery store
how is this somehow 100x worse than the isekai/reincarnated/villainess/bad ceo romance slop webtoons that I read on a daily basis
Than the what
@@leahdavis9434Webtoon is a Korean comics publisher and app.
The trying to clap the rhythm of the Fibonacci sequence got me 😂☠
oh god not formidable alpha joshua
If these novels aren’t AI trained on Cnovels/KNovels/JNovels then they have to be “official” translated releases. I’ve read endless transmigration and rebirth novels with these plot.
"She was reborn too" The fact that I know these were train on transmigration novels with that sentence alone 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I chortled a lil to loudly at "where's the baby?"
The audacity that these people think we’d pay $20 a week for ai stories is hilarious. I’ve seen stories similar to this written by actual people and neglected to download anything as I’m not interested in paying a bunch of money to finish a story that just makes me mad.
I mean you just watched a 26 minute video of someone reading them so it's not that wild
I almost think the quality thing is like a 419 scam--they're trying to filter out everybody with taste and good sense right off the bat, and of the people who genuinely heard the starts of these and went, "But I need to know what happens," presumably it's easier to fleece those people out of $20/week.
@ truth. There’s always someone out there waiting to catch the bait.

Wait a sec, if it's ai generated, doesn't that mean they CAN'T copyright it? Or is that just images? Or I'm just wrong...?
Only things created by humans can be copyrighted. So anything AI generated can't be copyrighted.
But they can sell it to teenagers!
How do you prove it was written by Ai beyond the fact that it sounds awkward?
They can't, but that's assuming that like Tiktok, RUclips, the app stores, etc, are actually requiring legal judgments of copyright violation to take things down. Effectively, copyright law is whatever the big platforms say it is.

I had to clip the "I'm snapping ankles" rant. Mood and a half.
Omg I lost it at the Fibonacci sequence part. Amanda's face was a perfect re-enactment of confused math lady meme I can't
i’ve been wondering about this!! i keep getting these videos on tiktok despite never liking any related content
To be honest, I have wondered if I could get AI to write me a story combining some really off the wall stuff. I wouldn't expect it to be good, but I think it could be entertaining. I wouldn't share it, it would be just for personal entertainment. But I think that would make me an asshole so I've refrained.
that math story really got me good
AI reads suspiciously like a teenager has written it
Had anyone heard of Wattpad?
Or, even better, ao3 (there's so many talented people writing fics there). But I'll absolutely take Wattpad too over AI slop.

but professor why must I read “love in the time of cholera” when I’ve already read “revenge in the time of terminal illness”
Oooh, do the Pocket FM ap that always has those long af ads to try and get you hooked on their ridiculous serials!
So the "rhythm" would be:
Thrust, thrust thrust, thrust thrust thrust thrust, thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust, thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust thrust....
"my wolf reacted inside of me" is giving lowkey "my inner goddess"
Speaking of AI slop, I hope Amanda will cover how RUclips is now using AI in the Creator Studio (under Channel Content -> Inspiration) to generate video suggestions for you, and an outline for a video, and will even generate thumbnails for you.
