- This is a commentated playthrough of Quake 2 for the PC, played through the 2023 re-release (KexQuake 2) sourceport on the Nightmare difficulty. All of the units will be played from a 'clean start', and all the kills and secrets will be demonstrated. In this video, I play Unit 5 - Factory.

I love watching Dwars blow up Brown Brick factories in Quake 2. It's the most fun you can have on youtube.
4:25 -- "Meat processing plant and nursery". Who knows, maybe if Strogg kids grew up in a more un-creepy environment than this nursery, maybe there won't have been this interstellar war.
Rare footage of Dwars tearing down a Soldier Disassembly factory, killing TRESPASSER's twin brother, taking a swim in Habbo Hotel Blood, almost instantly winning multiple railgun duels and calling someone an idiort
3:05 Wow, you did this jump in one try. Wonder how much did you have to practice that jump...
I managed to get over there by accelerating with a bunny hop. It definitely hurts less. >:-3
this series has been great so far
Unit 5 is definitely the easiest one yet. Quad Damage really helps you out when in total numbers. Railgun is such a fun weapon to use as well. Excellent play here. 🙂👍
9:40 Killing a Flyer with a quad damage boosted railgun. Overkill? Yes. Necessary? No. Satisfactory? You can bet your ass that it is!
3:05 do you mean to tell that you have to rocket jump to get that secret exit? All these years I didn’t know how to get there I used to noclip up there.
With a well placed strafe jump, you can get there without rocket jumping. However, rocket jumping is easier.
Waterfall secret is doable without rocket jumping.....just a good run up
I hate Brains. Their grabby tentacle slap attack disgusts and disorients me, so I prefer to angle grenades around corners at them until I hear the bloody wet splashes of victory.
Is there any indication of how long the war has been fought? Would need to be a considerable length of time to adapt their bodies to human tech, or do the Strogg work quickly on that? Or is it the opposite- humans built weapons based on Strogg tech?

I used to dislike this level and watching this I'm not really sure why
