The entire Retreading factory must be filled with the smell of fresh rubber tires. I'll prolly be alone saying this but i wish they'd make a candle for that smell, so my room can smell of tire rubber.
😂😂 I remember my first Pep Boys experience. The new tire smell does have an effect on me. Even if I wasn't getting new tires. I loved the smell 😍. I feel amped/excited 😂. 55 yrs later, it's Costco 😊

I'm very impressed with Korean industrial processes. Machinery is used for heavy lifting, technology is state of the art, facilities are clean and bright, people are treated well, and there is obviously a lot of pride in workmanship. Excellent.
I don't think id trust a retread like a new tire but the process is interesting and I like that it helps with waste. Used tires are usually landfill bound
The white stuff: "These additives come in the form of oils, detergents, waxes, antioxidants, parabens, and more, and sometimes they can "bloom" to the surface of a new tire. While some may not like the appearance, we recommend not trying to clean it." (In fact you can clean it, but should coat the tyre sidewall with a silicon-based sealer/lubricant, which slows oxidation and moisture ingress / UV to protect the natural rubber. Plasticizers to keep rubber from going hard in the cold, oil adds to the slip resistance of the tyre. As tyres flex in regular use these migrate through the rubber and prevent the tyre getting hard and cracking, leading to failure. That is why it is good to drive regularly for tyres, than leave them sitting.
It's almost all done by machines, but most of it is made by workers' hands. Curiously, machines do many things, but it's a high-level repetitive task that also requires the strength, quick hand movements, and strength of workers. The process of creating regenerative tires is also strictly done.
I've often thought there needs to be better ways to retread tires when the vast majority of wear is just on the tread. Makes me think there's just too much profit in making new tires and they don't care about the waste entering the environment.
They most certainly can leave the brand on there. The casing itself is still made by that company. The only thing being exchanged here is the tread itself. The brand on the side doesn't really matter anyway, that's only superficial.
@user-tc4hc2nf4r You haven't been to Korea. The reason there are many foreign workers in Korea is equal pay for equal work. The reason there are many foreigners in the 3D industry is because the Korean population is decreasing and there is a need for many young and healthy workers. Why do so many foreigners choose Korea over Japan?
Those tires are good for local work not over the road. Thats why you see the gators all over our highways. In 40 years never put a retread on any of my equipment
You need to educate yourself kid. You're 100% wrong. These tires are great for over the road because they're made exactly the same way a new tire is made. It's technically the same process without having to make the casing. Those so-called Gators you see on the highway, 99% of those are Virgin casings. Not a retread. Failure due to being run low on air pressure. Next time educate yourself before flapping your lips on the topic you don't understand
I'm so glad to see S. Korea doing so well. Sadly, the people in N. Korea have no access to the same prosperity. These are just ordinary people trying to carve out a decent living for themselves and for the families. Is that so much to ask for?
I love the occasional touch of humor in your subtitles.
Glad you like my subtitles!

Indeed, I’d have one in my bedroom.
Just buy a new tire and put it in the corner. 😂
Yes, but dont light it up in a room!!!

Wish I could still get retread tires in Texas, had the best experience with them and they lasted 4 times longer than new tires 😊😊😊😊
If only young people knew all these good paying jobs were in the U.S. at one time. That's how America was built.
Yea until the communist regime took over 😂
Great videos, no music, and a little humor, what's not to like?
Thanks for an interesting compilation.

You have such a good sense of humour and can map that to English so well - did you travel overseas at some point?

Veery interesting and educational. What happens to the stapled area of the new tread? The stapled tread isn't left as shown is it ?

Amazing how automated all the machinery is Love the show !
Saya cinta utara 🎉
No wonder tires are expensive!! just look at how much work is envolved in their manufacturing process!!
That ice cream truck music at the end of the tire factory must of had all of them worker rushing out I bet
Mantap bikin yang bagus❤❤🎉

After it goes in the rubber casing it comes out with threads how?
Bet you could make one hell of a doughnut with that thing.

I agree we should be using retread tires in America 😊
If there is anything in the world that doesn't need plastic, it must be a bloody candle. What a waste!
How do the tyres get the branding on the sidewalls? They cannot leave "Kumho", "Bridgestone" or "Yokohama" on them!
They most certainly can leave the brand on there. The casing itself is still made by that company. The only thing being exchanged here is the tread itself. The brand on the side doesn't really matter anyway, that's only superficial.

А как определить визуально покупателю в магазине?новая резина,или восстановленная?
Написано должно на шине ретурм или ретрейд. Но это для нормаленых производит этих вряд ли касается...
Very good video. In Brasil where I live, it isn't worth to buy retreating tyres, they are very expensiv.

Насколько я знаю, производители шин требуют от таких фабрик, ч обы они после наварки и восстановления шин убирали логотипы производителей.
