Filling the wear on the shaft that holds the gear group with electric welding is a method. However, after welding and turning, surface hardening must be done, otherwise the soft metal wears out quickly and becomes inoperable. When turning, hot metal is taken due to expansion, and an incorrect measurement is made. After the metal cools down, the diameter decreases and more space is created when working on the bearings.
