Nice to see a Florida car. Not to big on the low idle cam sound. Personally I like the faster paced chop but sounded better after dyno
That’s a badass fbody in the background...
Such a badass setup.! For sure planning to do something like this in the near future
Sounds amazing!!
LMFAOOO DA APPLAUSE SOUND EFFECT
Only the best editing and effects allowed!!
sheesh with a stage 1 cam and headers those numbers are actually pretty good…i have headers i want to get an intake and then once warranty goes out get a cam maybe stage 2…i need chop in my life
I do wish I did a higher stall converter also that would really wake the car up!
Like a 3800 stall?
🤤🤤🤤🤤
I’m looking at this cam for a g8.
Gim getting the texas speed stage 1 cam 225.236 . In my 2008ve ss commodore. It's in the shop have to do cam bearings as well. Aren't engine builders not meant to look at ls cam bearings 🙄😭
We have the same last name. I drive a Caprice PPV tho
nice to meet another Poole! I love the PPV's.
@@fatbody me too bro!
what was the cost of the build roughly woth the tune I just got my 2016 and am interested
I want to say I was 5-7k all in with parts and labor. I also did alot of little things like Holley valve covers and elite catch can.
What shop in Orlando installed the kit and what they charge I know it’s $$ but am getting a 2015 and trying to get ideas for a nice build but reliable for daily
My brother in law owns a shop in west palm beach call protek automotive. They did the cam and header install
@@fatbody any bottom work head studs gaskets also was upgraded,
@@y.g6947 nothing done on the bottom end or heads. Still the stock ls3 lifters, heads didn't come off for the cam install.
Very nice badass cam. Florida tag where
I'm in Central Florida. North of Orlando
Jack Poole Florida to I live in Pompano Beach
Just bought this cam. How noticeable was the power difference? Any drop in fuel economy?
Power was definitely noticable after the tune. The fuel economy is tough as I don't daily the car. Overall I don't think it affected it much. That's if I can stay off the throttle
@@fatbody Thanks- car sounds great. Can't wait to install mine in March (my 08 vette LS3 is in storage right now).
@@ryanmulhern6241 I just installed mine (13’ Grandsport) you’ll absolutely love it. I’m pushing 470 rwhp and the car is an entirely different animal. Make sure you upgrade to a high pressure oil pump, get a new balancer depending on mileage and upgrade to a CHE Trunion Kit and Chromoly pushrods / dual valve springs
I feel like you should got more power out if it .. I have headers stall . And I’m pushing 430 to the wheel
The power levels are in line for the modifications. I was happy with the numbers.
What.. Thats a little more than LS7 power. 460rwhp is on point for cam & exhaust....
Basically pushing 470hp/440tq
Nice numbers...I agree that this a good (and pretty much "right there") for N/A, Cam & Header swap.
GMPP or other ported heads and cold air intake would get you sneaking up on 500hp
What lobe separation is the cam, does it try to ease through red lights while on brakes
114 lsa. It doesn't push through the converter at all.
cabin drone?
It does have some on the highway around 80 bur not horrible. I just drop a gear or go a few MPH over 80
How much power did u put down???
460 HP 440 TQ on a dynojet dyno
