Plus the 14 and 15 models are slightly faster than the 16 and 17 models which is also crazy. In my opinion....even though manual is fun, the automatic are faster. Plus on the autos you can use the shifter as a slapstick as well as paddle shifters behind the steering wheel if you wanna do your own shifting. One of which is simply the fact that it was too expensive. Its sticker price was just above $50,000, and it’s an amazing value for that money, touting luxury car goodies at a discount price. The problem is that you could only get the SS with all that stuff, and for that price. Had there been a stripped-down SS for $35,000 - something that could compete with the Dodge Charger, which is pretty popular - I think it could’ve done well. But I think Chevy nixed this idea because it wouldn’t have made financial sense. The SS was built in Australia, and surely it wasn’t cheap to pay relatively pricey Australian labor to make the car, then add in shipping costs from such a faraway land. My thinking is Chevy had to pump it full of features so they could jack up the price, as a "stripped-down" SS never would’ve been profitable - even if it had been popular. Another Aussie icon Holden dead by fucking morons running Holden into the ground by making poor decisions and not moving with the times! RIP Aussie muscle cars......

In Australia we have the HSV version of that car and they did have the LSI and the car went out with a bang called the w1 with ls9 in it in Australia we never got the option of the corvette or the tomorrow until after the car had stop production in building cars in Australia HSV a converting the Camaro to right-hand drive for us but I've always think it's very selfish of the factories that never gave us those options to begin with so that Commodore or SS became part of our muscle car and Ford had the Falcon in Australia
These cars with a LSA or LS9 engine would be awesome!
It comes with 415 stock. How did you manage to get one with 3 something?
415 is at the engine, when you dyno it you lose power through the drive train on the car between 15-20% on an automatic car
LSxDrew ah. Mine’s gonna stick.
@@wishihadavette_2517 prolly lose 10-15% on it then when on the dyno. Enjoy it
LSxDrew alright thanks. Nice vette btw
@@wishihadavette_2517 thanks but the ZR1 is gone, have a deposit for a C8 Z06 tho when they come out
The center rear folds down doesn't it?
Nope, only the center part opens up a small passage
@@LSxDrew sorry, weird question, does the gas cap lock?
@@crowsbridge nah they dont but I believe I have seen people put a locking one on in the Chevy SS owners FB group
Who did you go to get the x pipe removed?
I went to a local muffler shop to have them cut and weld in the new Xpipe in place of the 2nd cats. This is the X Pipe I bought from Summit Racing- "Jones Exhaust Stamped X-Pipes SXP3SS"
Great be different I like it
How much is the exhaust my guy
That Secondary cats delete was under 40 for the Xpipe and then the labor to weld it in which was like 30min so it wasnt that much
Yes I agree that those wheels on the 16 and 17's are ugly! Love my 14 😁
@ꫝꪖzꪖrᦔꪮꪊડ well lucky you! 15th birthday you say? Guess you're gonna have to wait to get a liscense first lol!! In my opinion the 14 and the 15 are the best looking ones so I would go with either or. Keep in mind....14's only came with auto as the 15's come with either auto or manual and plus the 15's and so on come with touring mode and others that you can change it to. 14's have brembo brakes only in the front compared to the 15-17 that gave brembos in the front and back but the 14's prove to stop 6 feet faster than the other models which is crazy. So yeah I like my 14 the best but the 15's I like also. Good luck and enjoy it!
@ꫝꪖzꪖrᦔꪮꪊડ oh very nice....for beginning to drive you're gonna start out with some serious power. Enjoy and be careful lol
hey bro can ya give me the specs you add on pls
What would you like the specs on?
What x-pipe do have on it?
Catless

@@LSxDrew dam foreal? That’s was up bru Maybe it’s a factory freak car bc when I bought my camaro 2015 5th gen auto (L99)it had 400 to the crank but on the dyno it said 320 hp to the wheel then I put headders from Texas speed full exhaust cold air intake n dyno tune n it bearly made like 370hp till I put a baby cam it went up to 425 n with e85 I’m at 450 hp so ur car really has a good hp bru I’m impress do u have the stick shift ls3 engine or the l99 auto like mine

dam I wish they were still 37 grand lol
Nice ride
What color is that again and what are those wheels??
Nightfall Grey Metallic and they are the 2014-15 stock SS wheels
AWDTBSS did you buy those wheels online or through the dealership?? Also what year would you recommend someone to buy it?
@@classified3783 i bought them off of a local owner who switched to aftermarket wheels. All years are good I'd buy whichever the best deal is. the 14 has Brembos only on the fronts and a plastic black rear diffuser vs gloss black on 15-17, 15+ have magnetic ride control and 15+ have brembos all around, 16-17 have bi mode exhaust and vented hood. I'm sure I'm missing a few things
Like the color
This or a Scatpack?
SS
Sold my scatpack for one. Best decision I ever made. I'm doing a lsa swap on it too. Gonna be hurting feelings soon
Get an otr set up. That cold air intake is shit
Do u lose warranty???
