I have to notice two important points:
    1) when your monitor is close to DCI-P3 colorspace it will have more 'Right' HDR implementation, just cause a matrix can show colors aren't available for sRGB matrix
    2) when you doesn't use drivers and color profiles with DCI-P3 monitor on Windows OS, you can get oversaturated colors, cause color coordinates like RGB: 0;255;0 of sRGB content will be extended on DCI-P3 color space and you will get RGB: 0;255;0 of DCI-P3 colorspace so it will be more rich color, in other words instead of green color you will see rich green. to avoid this issue manufacturers provides build in sRGB Profile in monitor that restricts colorspace to sRGB.
P.S. sorry for my english, can be mistakes

Dude well done. This was super useful. Good review with relevant points covered without talking about things that don't matter. In fact I was looking for a comparison of these two monitors and the only reason I've been holding off buying the 83A is the IPS lottery. I would really prefer buying the 83A since it's a great display eitherway and the CAD currency makes it a better choice. $459 before taxes currently. But who knows how long it will stay in stock! It keeps going out. I will have to decide soon. I just hate the idea of IPS glow and black blight bleed when I'm coming from a TN panel. I've had an LG 1080p 144hz for years and it's been great. Btw, subscribed, keep it up.

i'm using a curved msi mag27cqr its a VA panel and i find the colors a bit funky. i am thinking of going for the 850b for the nano ips. either of these monitors would probably be better then my msi VA panel

I'm a bit stuck i feel like if i fiddle with settings i could have the gl850-b looking just fine for me but everyone says it's over saturated however where i live it's currently £100 cheaper than the gl83a-b

What about the 27GP850-b? It's a better version?
If I pick the 27GP850-B for main gaming monitor, what second monitor you recomend? My second monitor will be for versatility, reading and watching videos.

the 850 is $399 at best buy while the 83A is $379 on Amazon. $20 difference should i go with the 850 at that point?

    • @ReviewsForLifeYT

I'd go the 850. Think of it this way, you're paying $20 for a USB hub built into the monitor

I went with the 850 because it had the extra USB passthrough on the back.

At 3:12 you mention these are worth getting if color accuracy isn't a primary concern.
Can you recommend any monitors if one is looking for good color accuracy? Preferably also with high refresh rates and 1440p resolution.

With the 83A monitor 1440p isn’t available on PS5 (yet, I hope) so some monitors can pick up a 4K signal at a lower frame rate. Is this one of them? Heard that the 27GL850 does same as the benq models

Does the HDMI to HDMI support the 144hz refresh rate? Unlike the Viewsonic XG270QG

buddy, for monitors u really want a display port instead of hdmi. U are supposed to uuse hdmi on TV's not gaming mnitors. The displayport that suggest for this monitor is DP 1.2 but if u wanna get really fancy DP 1.3 but whichever one you get, just know that it wont make a differance at all

Wow Gj, short and clear video thank you you helped me a lot. Do you know any monitor who is an alternative to the Gl850b with the same price? For someone whose most important point is the good Image and colors.

    • @ReviewsForLifeYT
      @ReviewsForLifeYT  4 года назад +2

A direct alternative would be the Acer Nitro XV272U Pbmiiprzx.
However, if the fast refresh rate (gaming) isn't important, and color/image is primary concern, then I'd recommend getting a monitor from Dell's Ultrasharp line (e.g. U2720Q). These are often used in commercial applications like film/photography and are known for their consistent image and colors. Happy Buying!

I was thinking of getting the 27GL83A but I do need the extra USB ports so I want to buy the 27GL850 but when I go onto amazon and the official LG website the price is not listed with the product.
