Stihl HT 131 Rebuild Part 2

Finishing the up the Stihl HT 131 pole saw. Cleaning, replacing bearings and reassembling the shafts. Took longer then usual but the job is done!

Missing a rivet on the pole near the motor. Does it have a function 🤔

Any chance you would know what the factory carb settings are for the H L, mine is not running to well, like to know where the needles should be. Thanks

Try High 4 1/2 Low 2 1/2

I recently replaced all the bearings and springs in my 131 and when I put it all back together the cutter end sticks out about 3.5’ and will not retract any farther. Any idea what the issue is? Largest outer tube backwards?

Yes, the rivet on the outer tube is hitting the bearing and stopping it from retracting. In other words flip the outer tube (largest) end to end.
