Love my 17 Raptor, first ecoboost for me. Have loved my v-8 fords in the past also. Liking the Raptor R also. But keeping my 17 for a long time. Paying the house off, damn mortgage. Wish I was rich.
I love my 19' 3.5 eco boost. Honestly my favorite truck of all time.
Traded my 17 V8 Lariat to 19 Raptor a month ago. I read a lot of reviews about cam phaser noise, but won’t stop me to love the truck.

That's by far the best video I've seen on the RAPTOR R. THE BEST VIDEO BY FAR... Am always a Raptor Fun by default, but when the trex came on the market I kinda switched a bit to the trex, becos it was all that, but with this video am convinced the R is on top. Ford should keep the ante up! $

I own two Ford F-150 Raptor 802a Package. 1st one is my Daily a 2020 mdl. built 4inch lift, 38inch Toyo Tires, borla exhaust, normal wide body, bumpers and Ecu Tuning.
2nd one is more of like my Fun Toy / Fav Toy 2020 mdl. Built exactly like Ken Block's 2nd Gen Ford F-150 Raptor ( the 2nd build / transformation ) Supercharged V8 Engine Swap, 6inch lift, 40inch Toyo Tires, Borla Exhaust, Wide Body Etc. ( my Raptor is also built by SVC Offroad just like Ken Block's Raptor )
I couldn't get enough of my Raptor's even though I have one RAM 1500 TRX, one Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and one on delivery a Ford F-150 Raptor R at my disposal in my Garage

Why would I buy a raptor for 150k+ when I can buy a fully loaded trx for sub 100k. Ford thinks there shit is worth that much. It really is a shame.
@@yanzi1957 Why buy any truck or car for 100k? Hopefully, because you can afford to. These trucks don’t exist for people that are going bargain-hunting for the cheapest truck on the market. Some people just are willing to pay more for something they want. Some may also prioritize suspension performance, looks, brand lots, or the simple fact that you can put the truck in 2WD over the fact that it on paper it may look like it’s “better”. I think more people need to focus on the fact that the TRX,RAPTOR R,ZR2 Silverado all exist and they have some pretty stellar options to choose.

Only disappointment is that they didn’t upgrade the brakes. At that price I was expecting better brakes.
Very good feedback. After about 40k of hard use,towing etc my stock brakes have actually blown be away with how good they have held up. With double the HP,it’s definitely slightly surprising they didn’t offer at least a factory option for some baller brakes.

I’ve driven both the TRX and the raptor r. It feels like the R does both daily driving and off roading better. If I had the money it would be a no brainer for me.
I love that the raptor r gives you the option to put it in 2wd and really tune the suspension and different terrain situations
And I think the 5.2 L Raptor motor is Better Built it can handle a lot more power stock for stock than the ram TRX

Buy a regular F150 and use the money you saved to buy a trailer and a SXS. You'll still be saving money and a SXS is so much more capable than this Raptor R or any other road going truck.

I like the idea and sound of the R, but frankly don't find myself driving around too often at top speed, flying around on a lake bed gets old fairly fast. Out on a trail, all that horsepower is really a bit much. I'll stick with my 19 Gen 2.

Great content, my problem with the Raptor R is the exact opposite of everyone else. I couldn’t care less about it being a V8, I’m disappointed that the top trim off road truck offers no more wheel travel than the base model. The base Raptor suspension can’t keep up with the 450hp so what good does it do adding more hp. I mean this R is good for all the pavement warriors but I was hoping the R would closer to a prerunner but instead it’s closer to a mall crawler. Oh well…. It will sell and ford is only worried about the bottom dollar
Driving it was insane, I can see how someone can wreck one easily if they get reckless and don’t know what their doing. @tacodust has a great 2nd Gen raptor (shown on video) that cost less than this raptor r and it’s literally like a trophy truck. I don’t see many people buying these raptor r to go insane on them. You spend over 100k for a stock truck you wouldn’t wanna do dumb stuff lol it’s different when you spend 50k and put 20-30k in suspension on it, then you can bash it knowing it’s capable
You make some great points Maurice. I think this great is a great response to the TRX and most definitely has all the Raptor DNA you’d expect. Did the Raptor need more power? No. But I’m not mad at the fact that it exists for the pure fact that I got to experience it. Still very much in love with my Gen2.

But personally i'd rather buy a gen 2 (supercab cause they're so much nicer) and build it up for a fraction of the cost. People get hung up on TRX vs Raptor but can't we all just be happy we live in a world where 700hp trucks you can order online are even a thing 😂

My uncle owns a Baja raptor and it has turbo with wide fenders. We took it to the dessert to go off-roading. It’s like your truck that you said(the one with the weird back part) but street legal and no back camper piece
TRX is slightly faster, but I wouldn't buy an off-road truck for the speed anyway. Both trucks are awesome! Would love to own both.
Muscle truck flex on a offroad truck- Raptor R™️. This thing is ridiculous but the 3.5 twin turbo is plenty for me and 100% the world. Sure is rad that it does exists though.
The TRX is slightly quicker but the Raptor R is slightly faster.
They have the same top speed limit and the Raptor R has a faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
Screw that. Get us a trx out there with it and. Smash them both. I love them both. Both for different reasons and purposes. Break it already. Find the end all and help save so many from the inevitable lol

I think the rapper is slower 0 to 60 because the ram TRX have launch control but the Raptor is faster in the quarter and in the long run I think and the Raptors better for jumping

You think those only cost 500k? The shocks alone cost 250k apiece on those trucks. Then there’s the custom suspension mounts, custom tube steel frame, at least 100k in the motor alone, various drivetrain enhancements, and all of the manufacturing costs of producing and engineering a one-off vehicle. All told, a few million is the bare minimum for a real trophy truck, unless you get an HM Elite Prerunner (which still isn’t on the same level as a trophy truck).
