  • We were fortunate enough to be part of a small group that was invited to visit the new home of Tequila Ocho. You might even recognize some faces haha. We harvested agaves, checked out the whole production, and got to do something pretty special with Carlos Camarena. The distillery is now open to the public and I can't recommend it enough!

    Why do they do all that hard work without machines? It would be so much easier, less hot, less intense to do the tending in the field by machines

      It's hard work, but it's also the traditional way and it definitely shows in their tequila. Mr. Camarena could easily cut corners like a lot of other tequila producers, but the man has passion and pride for his craft. I'm currently sipping on my first Ocho tequila, the el Nacimiento Reposado, and I absolutely love it.

    Why distilled only twice? Coralejos has a triple distilled product.

    • @TheLucasAssis_
      @TheLucasAssis_  Год назад +9

      and unfortunately, they are known to use additives and diffusers with their tequila. 3 distillations is just trying to make a more smooth product, and tequila shouldn't be smooth.
