    I started the game, and went, woah this game is dark as shit!
    And then I reached Columbia wow beautiful!
    First fight, this game is violent as shit!

    *SPOILER WARNING RESPONSE*
    I think you're misinterpreting. The time in which Booker is in Columbia in the game is the first time you successfully break the cycle of rescuing Elizabeth. After that, you die in the universe where you accepted the baptism and became Comstock which lead to Booker in that universe dying as well as all other versions of Comstock and Elizabeth. At the end of the game you return to a universe where Comstock never interfered and that is Booker with baby Anna.

    Bioshock infinite is the first ever story to have portrayed time travel accurately, it takes in to account of the grandpa time travel theory and comes up with an alternative with out flaw, also it ties in with the story line so well, the gameplay was above average, but I couldn't get too into it because I just wanted to keep progressing in the story, an absolute beautiful game

    • @davidpiksi

      Lol, no it doesn't. Elizabeth killing Booker didn't do shit. If she really wanted to make a difference, she should've killed one of the Lutece's parents before they were born, and BTW the "grandpa time travel theory" is not a theory, it's a paradox, and you having a paradox in a story is just dumb.

    I admire this game because while it is a step down from the other two Bioshock games in some respects it makes up for it by having two well written characters with great chemistry and one of the best endings in video game history. Whether or not you enjoy those last two elements will most likely determine if you'll enjoy this game and I think that's actually a first in the video game industry.

    • @Shokarneda
      @Shokarneda 11 лет назад +2

      It's strange the game takes one step forward yet two steps backwards for me, Bioshock 1 although an amazing game, as a shooter wasn't all that great, but what it lacked in finesse as a shooter it made up for in the variety and depth of as gameplay, the psuedo RPG aspect's really fleshed out the game,
      Bioshock infinite kind of strips it all the way and just focuses on shooting, the problem is the gun-play wasn't too hot, shootouts became incredibly tedious at times, especially wit the ghost'a and the handyman

      USUVA Aivar It's almost like a mix of Inception (which I felt was merely "ok") and Donnie Darko (fantastic movie, imo). But Bioshock:Infinite, now here's the kicker, actually feels *more satisfying* than both combined. Bioshock:Infinite shows that there is still hope for AAA games.

    This is my favorite game of all time. Everything just clicked for me. A lot of people are going to disagree. But I freaking love this game! The combat was great, The story was excellent and the characters are interesting and memorable. The only I don't like is that you can clip through Elizabeth when she hides in combat, but it seems like that is just there to stop her from ever getting in your way.

    • @paradoxacres1063

      For me, it was the fact that I couldn't save anywhere, anytime I wanted. That's kinda annoying in this day and age.
      Aside from that, I pretty much agree with everything you said. Gameplay felt a bit Tarantino-ish to me, which made me feel like a hero in one of his movies (DJango Unchained or Inglorious Basterds). The story felt like an adult fairy tale. I loved everything in this game :)

      I will agree with you on the story and the characters, if it's one thing any bioshock game can do well, it's those two aspects. I love the first bioshock btw :). However; the combat got stale real fast, no enemy variety really, and it was a little too easy. But, that's all my opinion. I respect yours just as much.

    • @trequor
      @trequor 10 лет назад

      Yea well there are definitely a few things like that that were annoying, but unfortunately necessary. Like in the begining it makes sense that nobody shoots elizabeth because they are all ordered not to because she is so valuable. But later on in the revolution it kinda took me out of it because white girls and boys were being shot all over the place.

    • @paradoxacres1063
      @paradoxacres1063 10 лет назад +2

      trequor That's true. Look at it this way, though. You weren't allowed (in Bioshock 1) to get the Little Sisters unless you've taken out their Big Daddy's.
      Same with Infinite. You gotta get through Booker to get to Elizabeth :)

    • @trequor
      @trequor 10 лет назад

      Paradox Acres except that they didnt make elizabeth impervius to anything but ADAM draining. The little sisters can't be harmed because they heal wolverine style and you dont have a chance to drain them without the big daddy shoving his drill up your bum. Whereas in infinite booker just takes off onto some ledge and the baddies just run right by elizabeth. I suppose it could be argued that they ignore her because she ignores them and go to take out the guy fighting them

    One of the only games I ever played all the way through in one sitting...yes, Mr. Jahns, I too loved Infinite for all the reasons you mentioned. I will say this much: there is one sequence in this game where I felt ground down into dust emotionally because of the sheer cosmic injustice of what I saw. What made it worse was that I didn't get the chance to do anything about it before it happened. Then...the sequence ends and I felt an...incredible amount of relief, like waking up from a nightmare. And THAT was just one sequence in this game.

    It's definitely a contender for my favourite game of all time, everything about the experience of the game was phenomenal and you can really see the care put into it down to every minor detail, for instance the song booker & Elizabeth play was actually their voice actors singing and playing the guitar.

      +TheRedman790 I think the story/characters are rather beter in Infinite. Some people say Bioshock had better atmosphere, but i really commend Infinite for creating a very good atmosphere in a less convetional way, which would be the Bioshoxk 1 way, dark halls and dead people i the corners type of deal.

    Infinite REALLY is one of the best games ever made. I didn't find it to be over-hyped at all. In fact...Infinite actually EXCEEDED my expectations, and this is coming from me, someone who actually thought that the Original BioShock and it's sequel were kind of...great, not amazing. Now when it come to Infinite...THAT right there is amazing. I am contempt when I say that no form of entertainment, wether it be a movie, song, or video game, has captured me the way that BioShock Infinite has.

Technically an underwater laboratory of evil.
    Columbia: celestial looking city in the sky filled with gorgeous view and technology; filled with racists, religious bigots,giant mustache wearing robot suits and dimension hopping weirdos. Also, the city is a flying fortress whose leader plans to use for his invasion plans.

    I have heard all the hate for this game already, and it usually involves people complaining about the story being too complicated. Well, if everything was easy, and obvious mentally, that would be boring as hell. I like stories that make me think. I love stories that completely bend and twist my concept of reality, and this game did just that. I love it.

    Songbird was actually the Big Daddy style character in this game with Elizabeth being its Little Sister.
    Also, if you find the right voxophones, it explains why there are so many similarities to various things found in Rapture like plasmids and big daddy's etc. It also explains why there's modern music, albeit cover versions, in a game set in 1912.

    For people saying the Ending sucks, it's only because you DON'T understand it. It took me about 3 times to understand everything that happened in the ending, and in a game, that is fucking kickass. The ending is something I have never seen in a game, and would've expected it something out of a science fiction novel. Other than the ending, the gameplay is indeed decent, but it's not the generic shit people say it is, and the characters, you care about them, you kind of feel who they are and how bad they feel about them being oppressed by many different factors in the game. It's my 2nd favourite game of all time, and that will never change.

      AVET87 I do slightly disagree with the weapons, but that's only because of the hand cannon. As meh as this game felt playing through, that gun was *FUN*. And I wouldn't say "just like any other FPS", because it did feel different when I took the time to stop hoarding and actually use vigors, but it did still feel lackluster to me.

    The problem that I have with games where you can carry 10 weapons at a time is that ammo tends to be a problem. Say that I like the shotgun in a certain game and I want to use it frequently, well I can't because there isn't enough ammo for the thing because the ammo is spread out across 10 guns.
    In a game where there is 2 guns, you will pretty much only find ammo for those two guns and never run out, which offers more freedom and allows you to use weapons that you like more often.

    • @paradoxacres1063
      @paradoxacres1063 10 лет назад
