- In this video, I show how to prepare a steam juicer for the process of juicing fruit and making juice for steam canning. I used fruit from my freezer to make the juice. I process the juice using the Ball's Complete Guide to Home Canning's Instructions on page 189.

LeAnne, the combination of juices - the addition of peach to the berries - sounds SO delicious!
You are so amazing natural home grown food . Very healthy.
I have been holding out on purchasing a steam juicer but with the way things are, it’s time. Thank you for the video and confirmation.
I’m glad I can help. This way I know what’s in my juice that my husband is consuming!
Wow this is amazing! I would love fresh fruit juice! Blackberries and peaches are my favs
Come on over! Door is open!
That’s a good tip about not syphoning into jars as it gets weaker .
Thank you for sharing. I have been looking for videos to help teach me how to use mine.
I love juicing this way.
A steam juicer is on my wish list! Thanks for showing us the process.
Love my steam juicer.Very pretty in the jars.Yes juice prices are outrageous. I bet this will taste a lot better.Have a blessed night
Thank you for sharing your canning recipes, Leanne. 🙂❤️
We love our steam juicer. We use it especially for grapes and elderberries.
I love that canner with the gauge in the lid! Great video, as always!
A juicer is definitely on my want list
A juicer is on my want list as well. Thanks so much LeAnn. God bless ❤🙏
Thanks so much for sharing this process. You are so great at giving thorough instructions on how to do things. I’m so glad you decided to share your experiences.
I love my steam juicer. I hope to get some grapes off my vine this year.
I am almost ready to buy a couple grape vines!
I clicked on this because I love Forjars lids and rings! The rest is extra great content.
I love Forjars Lids too!
I hae never thought of mixing black berries and peaches. I have done apples and pears just in my regular steamer on low with a small amount of water and it is great.
Good job my dear.
Thanks again for sharing God bless !
I'm so excited to make blackberry juice this summer. Your's looks delicious!
Thank you!
I have one of these and I love it! You can also make fruit leather with the leftover pulp.
Looks delicious.. can you make tomato juice or V-8 juice in one of those juice canners too ?
Christine let me ask a few folks that I would trust to give me the right answer. I will get back to you!
Great video LeeAnne!
I have canned tons of bottled grape juice!! Yes, you could have added a bit of water to fill the bottle and it would have been just fine. You would never know the difference.
I'm sure my husband would be asking where the leftovers where to try it! He goes though so much juice.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse oh okay!
Great video LeeAnne and looks like a great canner! I love the idea of canning juice because it is sooo expensive!! 😊❤
I have one of the steam juicers and I have made juice and I love it, thanks
Beautiful! I love my steam canner and I bought a juicer last year. So I am set for my blackberries this year.
This juicer is on my Christmas list and wish
It was my Christmas present this past year from my husband.
Awesome video, Leanne! This reminds me I need to order a replacement clamp for my steam juicer...I've been using a carpentry clamp for the last few years and it doesn't hold quite as well.
Yes. lets get that fixed!
I want a steam canner it’s on my anniversary list
Another great video, LeAnne! I have that same steam canner, and I'm looking forward to using it this summer. So much less hot water to heat up the kitchen!
Thanks Lori!
Great demonstration!
I like the glass lid on your steam canner!
Great info! Thank you for sharing! The juice looks so good! This is something on my "to get" list!!
Thank you love the video
Would you be able to make fruit roll ups with the discard?
Yes, I forgot to mention that!
Yummy jelly fixins
Hi there. Very informative video. What was the reason that you couldn't use the last jar of juice in the canner? Even if it was just a little bit short of juice, I would havebeen inclined to can it. God Bless!!
The juice didn't reach the 1/4 inch headspace required to process it properly! I am a sticker for following guidelines set by the NCFHP. I just don't take risks when It comes to food safety.
I have always steamed mine down until there is pretty much nothing left of the fruit except for pulp. Now I know why mine tastes so weak sometimes. Thank you!!
I am glad I could help!
I’d like to try this... never done this ever but I need to get me a juicer.
We love it! We did pineapple last month and opened a jar last night since husband has a sore throat.
I’m a newbie to the world of homesteading skills, just starting to learn and I’m glad there are many of you around whom I can learn from.
That was an interesting canner. I’ve never seen one with a gage. I guess I’m used to the old school that my mom had. But I really like it. Where can I find one?
I have an affiliate link in my description box for the canner. It cost you nothing more to use the link and helps me buy fabric for QOV.
Thank you for sharing. I have an 8qt I bought in 2004 . Mehu lissa?. So glad to see you using frozen berries. We’re you canning the berry juice you were making in this video? I thought I heard you say it was too watery 🤔? Just curious why you couldn’t use the last jar?
It wouldn’t have much flavor so you want to combine all the juice so it have all the same consistency.
I'd like to know the name of your canning pot. Would love to get one. I'm always worried I'm timing it before it's hot enough. Thank you for sharing the whole process.
The steam canner that I have is VKP Brands Stainless Steel Canner with Indicator, Holds 7 Quart Jars. I have an affiliate link in my description box. I have been using it for the last year and love how I don't have to carry huge amounts of water from the sink to the stove with this canner.
Will this method work for sweetened non alcoholic ginger wine? I’ve just made some and would love to keep some on hand. Thanks.
I am sure it would work. just have to water it down when you open it some.
Thanks for this video...I was just thinking put loud about the rising cost of electricity now and the price of fruit and your time going into this project???Is it really worth it ???
If you don't have free fruit or vegetables at your finger tips, I would say not. I do use to it to steam broccoli to freeze that we grow in our garden. I love how quick it is vs blanching.
hi🔔🍀 gefällt mir, tolles Video, danke👍 wünschen dir eine schöne Woche, ❤liebe Grüße Anne & Siggi 🔔 Abofreund 🔔
When you go to serve this juice, what are the ratios for water to make a pitcher?
Since everyone taste buds are different, I would start with a 1:1 ratio of water to juice and maybe a quarter cup of sugar then adjust to your taste.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse Thank you so much. I made this today. God bless you and your family. ♥
Where did you get your juicer
I will have to ask my husband, he got it for me for a Christmas present
Omy goodness that is really ridiculous and am not you are probably not able to get the kind you want or the size you want but either way that looks great now i have to figure out how to save money to get one but that is ok
I so need to get a steam juicer! Thank you for sharing this. The stores are ridiculous on their prices! Happy Fall! Wendy🧡🤎🎃
