No, they would be happy for Sheldon, it's not like they were trying to bring him down intentionally, they were momentarilly happy because he was a great annoyance and that was his ''comeuppance''... Doesn't mean they wished him ill
Because students pay to go to universities, even state schools, I don't think it is allowed to lock doors and prevent students from entering a class late. Students pay to attend classes, so all students scheduled for that class have a right to be in that class. The only thing the professor could/should do is insist that students who come in late do so silently, with no disruption to the class or disturbance to others.
Lol i don't think that's how it works in real life...atleast not in Uni i went to. If a professor want to maintain discipline they will do it, some do it strictly and some let it go lose. But it doesn't matter you are fee paying student or one with scholarship, in class all are equal and follow the set discipline and no student with 2 cents of brain will oppose that after being wrong. Professors have tenure for some reason you know...
Well, it is set in the early 90's. Maybe the rules were different then. Although, if a professor had been as tough on me as he was on Sheldon and then locked me out for being late, I'd have just kicked the door open.
