    Hey thanks for pinning and welding my comp for my aem5. You guys did great work and we're pretty timely on it. Just waiting on mine aem5 to get out of jail

    Curious about the blowback on your OCM5. The first several rounds look like they're ejecting just shy of 3 oclock. Then you fire a couple more (after the camera moves) that are ejecting around 4 oclock.

    Great tech thanks, and thanks for the P/W , gas block pin, I get a lot of compliments on the P/W especially after seeing what others pass off as P/W. And of course the fast turn around time.

    Does the JR Machine have anything except the but those 6 baffles? Springs? etc. I am having a hard time find the exact internal layout.
    Thank you.

    I ordered my AEM5 though Ron Allen in January 2021. I was put on a waiting list and my name didn't comeback up till about March of 2022. So the backlog is no joke...My payment and FFL was a little bit delayed because I was travelling around that time...so after payment, FFL and ATF form it was about 2 years when all is said and done....but it was worth the wait.

    Does anyone know the baffle geometry that Andrew used on the OCM5? Is it a pretty direct copy of the AEM5 or is it more like the Polonium baffles?

    good video, right there. i have a question for you tho... looking to install an Ops Inc 12 on a factory Colt M4A1 Socom barrel but using an M4 collar purchased from Charlies Custom. currently the collar will slide back almost the the 203 cut before it stops. do i need another, tighter, collar or will moving it up and locking it down to get the 7-10 turns lock be sufficient safety wise?
    i have found plenty of videos on testing and comparisons but not a single one on proper installation.
    thanks in advance!

      Same setup colt 14.5 socom with collar tightens down good with set screw at edge of front step of 203 cut. I get 8 turns. Otter creek has a one piece mount that will work if your worried about the 203cut and set screw location.

    In your opinion is there any discernible difference between the JR machine and the others?

    • @dwilsonmfg
      @dwilsonmfg  2 года назад +5

      The JR Machine trap does sound a hair louder to the ear. If I’d have to rank them it would be:
      1. Ops Inc 12th model
      2. AEM5/ OCM5
      3. JR machine trap

    How did you keep your baffle clips aligned on the JR machine form 1 can?

      We didn’t. Alignment doesn’t matter.

    Question, why clip the baffles in the solvent trap (form 1) can? Are all manufactured cans clipped?

    • @dwilsonmfg
      @dwilsonmfg  2 года назад +1

      Clipping typically yields much better sound performance. The JRM cups come pre-clipped.
      A survey of all the commercial cans in the shop show virtually all of them are clipped by the OEM.

    Nicely done, Dave! Do you have specs of the "mag dump" rifle? I am wondering how the Ops Inc collar was adapted to it. Thanks

    • @dwilsonmfg
      @dwilsonmfg  3 года назад +2

      16” FN barrel chopped and contoured to 12.7” and the three piece collar fitted.
      Basically a MSG Gordon clone rifle.

      @@dwilsonmfg Ah, I see. Contour the M4 profile to SPR for the collar?
      Excellent info. Thank you, so much.

    • @dwilsonmfg
      @dwilsonmfg  3 года назад +1

      Sort of. The three piece collar gets contoured slightly differently than an SPR collar, but generally the same concept.

    • @AldoSchmedack
      @AldoSchmedack 2 года назад +1

      Most are stainless steel so use the dip method with 1:1 H2O2 and Distilled Vinegar. Won't hurt it but will take any copper and lead out that may be there. Which will not be much. Carbon cleaner will take out carbon. Acetone for grease and oils. Easy :)
