@@doperat9630 I don’t have a problem with people who scam getting banned, I have a problem with how RUclips went about it…at this point, RUclips is effectively a monopoly, and they can do whatever they want without repercussions. I believe their biggest strike against them is that they still have ads on channels that got demonetized. It may seem like a win having a scammer get banned from the platform, but it also shows how much they’re pulling in the reins to extort as much money from their monopoly before it gets broken apart…
Since the day steve was banned I thought it had to be because of him promoting gambling, but never did I think that something as small as the blurring of a link could cause this much..

I used to love Steve, but grew tired of his videos, and the scams he promoted were the icing on the cake for me to stop watching him…with that said, RUclips has too much power, and they keep making the experience worse and worse cause they know they have a monopoly…I don’t have a problem with them saying creators get so much money depending on what advertisers spend, but the fact that they still put ads on demonetized channels shows that they only care about their revenue, and not the consumer. I truly believe that they know that if there was a true competitor, they wouldn’t be able to get away with this…

I got sober right before Steve started working with Nelk. I had been following him and wanted to share my newfound knowledge of addiction as I thought he seemed like a really good dude. So, I sent him a DM basically saying don’t make the same mistake with alcohol that I did.
I couldn’t believe it, but he actually responded that same day saying that the drinking is only for videos and that he prefers to smoke weed. 😂

It’s crazy that at the height of Steve giving back to people in need, that’s when RUclips decided to cancel his account.
It makes the most sense.. RUclips, and every other elite company/person/politician claim to want to help those in need and marginalized communities. But, if you actually do help them then you have nothing to virtue signal over, you have nothing to create narratives over and you certainly won't have anything to pander votes over. One political party has been claiming to want to help certain communities for 70 years now, and every 4 years they keep claiming they're going to do it........

It’s unfortunately not. He left out a lot of pertinent information and slanted the narrative against RUclips. Steve and the NELK guys have been exposed for faking giveaways, so the whole “moral dilemma” of sharing dirty money with needy individuals is just nonsense. This channel regularly omits information to create their own narrative and passes it off as objective information.
I don't even like that guy but that's a super shitty situation and should open up everybody's eyes to how much power is in RUclips's hands. I hope creators build their brand on multiple platforms and real fans support them but to get banned on such a major one has got to be hard to recover from.

Forcing content creators to blur links is actually a problem itself. There's MANY fake sites and not allowing creators to have legitimate links opens the door for search engine scams.

The first time I heard about SteveWillDoIt was when all the "scam" stuff was going down. The videos posted of him looked so much like my friends from my past who suffered from alocoholism that it genuinely made me worried. Here's a young dude, surrounded by Yes men, who has millions of dollars at his disposal, and a very clear substance abuse problem. The only logical end I could see is he becoming broke and changing his life, or dying from some circumstance that should have been avoided.
Maybe I'm biased for not knowing him before, but I truily feel bad for him and not wholly like he's a bad person.
