Steveo will go down as one of the greatest stuntmen to ever live. But from 2005 to 2007 he almost didn't make it. Its a miracle he is still alive.

Thank you all for 1 million subs. I am forever grateful for all of you that watch 💙 I am going to make a dedicated video to that soon! Right now I have been battling the harsh censorship from RUclips (i am sure you have seen all the drama). I managed to get this one up! Drink water and check out the sponsor in the description!

Been watching your videos for a while and I love the switch you did over to the commentary mini docs. I’ve said many times that they are all done very well, and it’s not for me to say but it feels like there’s passion in them too. Keep up the good work man
Congrats on 1 mil!!! I know youtubes been censoring you but you still are a W. Keep winning man!
"The most badass stunt he did was getting sober and staying sober" so true!!! I'm so happy hes living a healthy life! Love him!!
Love that comment
Bro yeah that was the best fucking quote Fr dudeee it’s probably not too relatable for someone who hasn’t been hooked on hard drugs but honestly i think it’s so bad ass steve is sober and still living life to the fullest
Damn right

Him and Eminem were 2 of my favorite people growing up, realizing now that they both hit rock bottom in the same years, both have 14 years sober and both lend a hand to fellow addicts is crazy to me. I struggled for years with alcohol and drugs and have over a year clean now so its amazing seeing everything come full circle
Yep so true 💜💜 same with Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx! They are all so strong and have come so far 🤗 also congratulations on your own sobriety, you've got this my friend! 😎💪

Absolutely broke me when Steve-O was high in a hotel room and he broke down, stating that what he did was for his mom. Didn't expect to cry rn
I know, right?
And I do what I do for YOUR m om...
😊😊
I met him and he is THE most laid back and humble person. He was so friendly and walking around casually like he’s not famous. He stopped to talk to every single person who called for him. Such an inspiring dude.
The thing is you didn’t meet him you just said hi
Good to know he has time to stop and say “hi” to his fans while he makes money off of Bam’s so called “guardianship” which is the same as a conservatorship. Steve is sickening for being pro conservatorship and profiting off of it and not standing up for Bam. #freeBam
@@sapnap9003 I disagree strongly. I think he’s one of Bam’s actual friends and genuinely cares about him and wants to help him. I don’t think he has one single malicious motivation.
Celebrities don’t wAlk casually ?
His book is so good! I highly recommend anyone read it.
I honestly wanted to cry a bit. I never knew how broken he was, and I feel awful for his past. But I also feel proud of how far he’s gone. I see the time he’s spent sober and I though, “Oh my god, I’m so proud of this man”. I’m happy for what he does and what he stands for, and I hope he continues pushing onwards.
He has an official channel where he posts constantly and a podcast going on episode 130 or so. Id recommend checking him out, he is inspiring. And tells all the stories with video. Its incredible
@@miguelortiz8350 I haven’t watched much but have seen him in a few videos, he’s a very down to earth person and has an impressive amount of self awareness and introspection
@@miguelortiz8350 Yeahhh dude!
You should watch Steve O demise and rise
I did cry
Steve-O is an inspiration for a lot of us recovering addicts. Watching how he's turned his life around after all the years of abuse is just insane. I had a hard time breaking a 2-3 year addiction, I can't even imgaine going through what he had to..
I'm 25 and it's been 13 years of addiction for me. Been on heroin/fentynal for 11 years now and Methadone the past 6 years. I'm glad you got passed it after 3 years.

If there’s one thing to be grateful for, it’s the fact that he’s still alive and kickin after all of the shit he put his body through.
I swear I see you in the comment section of every other video I watch. You clearly have great taste!
You are everywhere!
A total icon, and role model for anyone out there struggling with addiction. I recommend people listen to his interviews where he discusses what it takes to get clean. Also shout out to Johnny Knoxville, his friends, and family who never gave up on him and got him help. At the end of the day, only an addict can choose to get clean. But for some people, having friends and family who love you support you - is that extra push you need to get better.
who ?
They've been trying with Bam now too, hopefully they're successful. Or Bam just wakes up and does it himself, especially for his kid. Bam was always one of my favorites, and it's unfortunate he had to let that trauma with Ryan ruin his life. Ryan wouldn't want to see him like that, I'm sure. But I also understand why it did effect him so much.
@@TheNinjaNiky bam was an addict and had those issues long before Dunns death. His first intervention was in 05. Dunn was at several of them. It’s also why Raab left as early as he did. There’s a really detailed account of his struggles posted by Novak. They want him to stop using that as his excuse bc that’s all that it is.
@@djcastano1180 right of course, they all had the problems. But it was at least somewhat controlled and he wasn't also depressed then.
@@TheNinjaNiky bam just needs to move out of the states and remove 90% of his so called friends from his life to get better, he was doing good when he moved away and started skating but as soon as he came.back to the states it went downhill again
Steve-O is a very good example of how addiction and mental health issues can be overcome if you seek/accept help
He had a lot of money for all that help
@@rabbitttz you don't have to. There are plenty of affordable resources out there. I was a 10 year addict, went to meetings, attended outpatient classes that were free based on my income at the time, etc. There are always options. I'm sure money helps, but it's not impossible without it

I’ve never really been like an actual fan but I got a lot of respect for him. Everything he’s been through he still seems like a genuinely caring guy and every story I’ve heard from people that have met him has been very positive
Just the fact of him being still alive & sober has proved to so many struggling with addiction that no matter how bad it actually is, it can be done because if Steve O conquered his addictions its possible for you to do it too.
Im so glad Steve O came through his journey alive & well. Wishing him nothing but happiness, now & in the future.❤❤❤
Technically true in a way.
Steve-O is to be commended for turning his life around. I suffer from addiction been to 3 rehabs, 5150 and more. If this man can do it damn it I should be able to do it. Please keep me and other people who suffer from addiction in your thoughts.

Love Steve-O, he's truly an inspiration to me and so many other addicts out there. I highly recommend going to watch his channel, he regularly posts videos about the things mentioned here. Watching his stuff has helped me a lot in realizing life while sober can still be happy.. that may sound strange if you aren't an addict, but I'm sure plenty of people out there understand what i mean and what that's like.

Are you currently an addict? It's possible my man, i've been out of the sunken place for 10 years in November, and I started young. If you're not an addict, well then my comment is pointless lol
As long as you are not strongly mentally and physically addicted to potent opioids or Benzos or an hardcore alcoholic getting sober is a walk in a park
After getting all the injuries from jackass and all the drugs he took this man has to be immortal
When his time comes to go, I guarantee it will be something really weak and stupid that takes him out.. compared to all of the insane shit he's done
A man to surpass Keith richards.
Probably is.
@@Pantsinabucket definitely not. PCP and ketamine won’t hold a candle to heavy opiates
Imagine if he never did stunts or drugs, he would live to be 200 years old
When you reach a point where you quite literally hallucinate an entire intervention [and recorded it as well, thinking he was there with his friends when he was alone], it truly the lowest low.
The fact he managed to get out of that hell will always be one of this planet's best success stories.
Steve-O is the man... there's just no other way to say it.
the past few year i went into a dark hole myself and some nights I never expected to wake up with what I was doing to myself. watching him and Brandon as well kinda pulled me out of it.
Try J Aubrey too, also does the same kind of videos. These guys are my favorites
This is why I found newfound respect for Steveo because he had the darkest years of his life. To be able to have friends that truly care for him from the bottom of their hearts. Help him get sober then stay sober. Not many people get this lucky. For him it's a major accomplishment. I appreciate him for that.
Man seeing him convulse after inhaling that stuff was just heartbreaking. I’m happy for you Steve-o!
Immediately teared up at him saving a dog. He really is the coolest person.
Absolutely love him. So glad he’s in such a better place.
SteveO is my biggest inspiration, im going thru the same sorta stuff he was going thru and it helps me so much hearing his stories, much love to SteveO and all that helped him and i hope everyone who is struggling with addiction can learn and be inspired by his story and make it to sobriety
The transformation this man went through is incredible! Whenever I listen to one of his podcasts his self awareness is so inspiring, he has come a long way that’s undeniable.
Also, thank you for such a wonderful video, you did an amazing job!
As someone who's had his own experiences with substance use trying to fill very similar voids... I'm so proud to see where Steve o has come in life. You can't know about "PCP saved my life" and simultaneously be blind to where this man has made it. The thing nobody talks about is when you're a successful substance user. Somebody who never spirals out of control but maintains their responsibilities and handles their shit. The spectrum of "addiction" is so underestimated and I guess I just hope anybody who is drawn to these sort of things finds true peace. I know I'm irrelevant, but God damn am I proud of this man.
We all have value and worth.
This is something a lot of people don’t understand about addiction, they always think addicts are all caricature “junkies” on the streets and don’t realize most aren’t like that. They’re family, friends, random workers, etc
I’ve met crack addicts who’ve been managers at factories for decades, have a lot of personal experience with addicts and even I didn’t know a friend was on heroin, he was always motivated and working, had plans to open a restaurant, genuinely kind and down to earth person, and ODed one day. Especially due to the opioid epidemic it’s brought to light addiction isn’t just the people on the street, it could be your otherwise ordinary uncle or some kind old person or a random friend you’d never suspect it from. Just look at the number of homeless and such compared to the millions upon millions of addicts in the US. It doesn’t help our system actively worsens and harms them, and pushes many into criminality. I’ve had multiple friends go from nerdy stoners to go to jail over just weed and ended up making gang connections in jail and became meth addicts, causing people to go to streets for drugs leads to connections with the worst types of people and more crime. Also adulteration and impure drugs leads to most deaths and damage, which is pretty ironic when we’re talking about dangerous drugs like heroin. The drug war failed, never impacted drug use. Like really, how many of us would go and do meth if it wasn’t illegal? I wouldn’t and you likely wouldn’t either, because it’s not the law that stops somebody from using; it’s the fact it’s meth. Somebody who’d do it is gonna do it anyway. Might as well make it safer and make it easier to reduce harm/get help. Even from a societal level it’d be helpful. It’s also do more against gangs and cartels than just about anything else.
As long as you are not strongly mentally and physically addicted to potent opioids or Benzos or an hardcore alcoholic getting sober is a walk in a park
@@hunterq4202if you can afford Pharma opioids like Oxy Opana Dilaudid etc but instead choose to shoot up street heroin I have a hard time feeling sorry for you as an opioid addict myself

Many more days to come. We’re so proud of you king.
I love Steve-O. I literally grew up on his content. I was 5 when Jackass came out and grew up watching everything he did. I think everyone just assumed he'd OD but he moved past it all. He's a little merch crazy now but he might actually be one of the most pure humans out there. I legitimately live by WWSOD. What would Steve-O Do. He's the best. Also I know he goes on RUclips and reads comments on other channel's videos so if you do read this Steve, I hope your day is going good.
Patrick, thank you so much for telling this story. You spoke so much about Steve-o's yearning for attention as a result of his parent's actions. It got me thinking...what's the biggest thing that I was robbed of in childhood that I crave desperately now? Validation.
Gaslighting, manipulation and control ruled my childhood. As a result, my adulthood has been filled with a yearning to hear, "I understand what you're going through," and "your decisions are valid because what you're experiencing is real." These yearnings have gotten me into big trouble: letting problematic people into my life, needing someone to back up my choices before I make them, self-doubt and over-sharing. This has never clicked for me before! Thank you for all that you do.
He’s always been someone I’ve felt connected to growing up and I didn’t know why. I just remember always loving him. he is a huge inspiration just because he’s still alive
Congrats on hitting a million!

Stevo is a huge part of my childhood and adulthood. The memories I have of staying up late with my big brother watching jackass will stay with me forever. I'm so glad he has gotten his life together and become an even bigger inspiration for me. I've had my own struggles and knowing everything stevo and the other jackass guys have gone through yet been able to turn it around is an amazing story that everyone who has had struggles can relate too. I'm 30 now and honestly some of my fondest memories is watching the movies with my family and friends and laughing our asses off. Thanks for this video amazing job.
I've met him before during his drug abusing years and it was so sad to see him so lost and run down. So so happy he's doing better, I could tell he's a great person with a wonderful soul. Thank you for this amazing video once again ❤

Steveo honestly looks pretty good for someone who’s been on illicit substances since he was a little kid. Good skin quality, has all his hair, still coherent. Most people don’t even look half as good or function as well doing far less. He’s got some strong genes.
This made me so happy. I never liked Jackass, but for some reason I liked him. I'm so glad he got sober. I'm at the beginning of my sober journey and he gives me a lot a hope. I wish him the best of luck. He seems like such a nice guy. We are so proud of you, Steve-o. We'll done sir!

I celebrated 6 years sober last Friday. I used IV heroin for 8 years.
Love to see this success story.
As long as you are not strongly mentally and physically addicted to potent opioids or Benzos or an hardcore alcoholic getting sober is a walk in a park .
After I got sober from 400mg Oxycodone , 4OZ of Lean, 10mg of Xanax and half a gram of coke plus alcohol daily and the withdrawals started wearing of after 2-3 weeks of hell it kinda felt like I was tripping . Everything was so intense , there is even a term for it „sober euphoria“. But at the same time it feels quite a bit too overwhelming, I used to compare it too being on a bit too much Adderall, unable to relax and get some rest. If you beat that phase which lasts about 1-2 month for most people, you have pretty much overcome the wild ride.
Thank you so much for doing this video ❤ I admire Steve-O so much and no one can ever compete with the rad-ness of sober Steve-O! It's amazing just considering the nitrous alone. The amount of nitrous he managed to huff was practically superhuman.

I didnt expect this to hit so close to home and bring me to tears. I'm in awe.
Steve o was my biggest role model as a child. Still is till this day. I was too young to understand drugs let alone addiction. Well written, especially the ending.
I've been worried about the turn in your content towards documenting people's downward spirals, because I think creating negative content can be especially taxing.
I like the tone of this one much more. It still felt cautionary, but a bit more caring, plus an uplifting ending.

I am largely still sober because of this man. I look up to him so much and have followed him since I was in high school. I started using substances the same year he got sober. Steve-O has had more of an impact on who I became as an adult than my parents did. The fact that he got sober and "stayed himself" helped me so much when I was afraid to get sober because I didn't know who I was without drugs. You did a great job being respectful toward those of us who face addiction while also telling his incredibly wild story.
