I had never heard of them before, but yeah, looks like she got teamed up with a management team or label and made her channel of reaction videos go dark so that when she drops her album, she would be taken more seriously as an artist instead of a reaction RUclipsr. Reading the comments, it looks like it’s not working haha I think people knew her too well from her other videos where she was probably being more herself. I am also not that familiar with xxx’s videos so when I saw the clips of her videos, I was thinking more Billie Eillish because of the blue hair and sweats. This was a very captivating video lol I have a friend who had their channel go dark too, I have no idea what they are up to lol

This would've been my kind of thing. I love ARG type stuff with hidden messages. But I was introduced to her, like many of us through tiktok. People changing their sound isn't unheard of... however, her whole "I'm from the middle of nowhere, let's prove my friend wrong, i'm too talented to not be famous" guilt trip ploy totally turned me off of giving her music a try. Everything about her look and the way she promotes herself seems very calculated, processed, and inauthentic. I'd go as far as saying it gives off major industry plant vibes.
But hey, she found fast fame... maybe she'll get a little longer than 15 minutes in the spot light.. but then again she'll probably go back in hiding for a year and come back as a country artist or something.

She’s kind of like an industry plant, or rather the industry took her as a sapling because she built an audience on RUclips and then either stopped for whatever reason or stopped because she signed a contract that required her to. Contracts can mean deleting, not using social media, etc etc. The quality of her recent stuff is too high for home production.
she definitely got signed. they take time to create your persona to make the perfect star for maximum success, thats why she was gone most likely. all that time spent was creating her look, sound, and getting ready for her debut
I know how annoying the idea of “manufactured art” is, but tbh, before we had a VERY FEW artists blow up organically a la XXX, like pre-social media music industry shifts, you had to basically be a local artist that gained enough of a following to be “tested” for success and have something of a rapid following and “image” that was either almost ready made to be signed and marketed nationally or globally, OR they might take a really talented act (still with proof of financial viability) and make some “executive changes” to the look or bio/personas of an artist/s and have changes made to their music that aren’t too much different than what a pro producer would change ie: adding a harmony to a hook, cutting out a dynamically pointless pre-chorus, changing the sound through coaching a vocal performance or whatever…but if the artist is an actual writer, chances are you still have the essence of their own art, just tweaked for the critical mass of an audience….
And in this case, I think it’s prob the vision and contacts related to the bf’s film career that really made it possible. I kinda doubt any MAJOR label would bother to change a proven marketable study into something that’s THIS derivative of Billy Eilsh or XXXtentacion. Even Ski Mask under label direction actually had to DISTANCE his style from X to have a chance.

Lol good one, i know im being that guy right now but just thought you might like to know that water is pretty much the only thing you are allowed to ingest during fasting.
Never mind theres a certain kind of fasting where you can drink water but the most commonly practiced form of fasting like for instance the fasting that takes place during Ramadan you are not supposed to eat or drink anything while the sun is still up. Sooo in short you were right all along. 😋
