This Ramadan 2015 reminder lecture by Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi discusses:
-Surat Al-Hujurat, one of the last surahs to be revealed.
-Entire surah is about good manners and social etiquette
-One should avoid backbiting and suspicion
-Allah created us all from one male and female, hence, every single one of us are related to another human being biologically
-By design, Allah made us different in order to get to know one another
-One who has the most dignity and honor is the one with the most spirituality (taqwa)
-In 2015, most of mankind agrees all humans should be treated equally, yet Islam demanded it 1400 years ago
-The prophet Muhammad (pbuh), coming from the most noble lineage and status, came with this radical message that didn't make any sense to his peers (demanding racial equality)
-Entire paragraph of the last sermon is on racial equality: "There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or white over black"
-Hadith states that 4 things from pre-islam (jahiliyah) will remain, 1st is "being proud of ethnicity".
-We must deal with the underlying current of racism in our ummah today
-It is permissible to feel belonging to a culture, but it should not trump the identity of being Muslim first
    -And much more..

The idea that no one was preaching radical equality until Muhammad is wrong. The concept that Jews and Gentiles worship together was crazy radical at the time of the apostles. As it says every believer is one in Christ and there is not Jew or Gentile but one new nation, the body of Christ. Do people fail in that, yes of course, but a civilian was preaching it. The fact that Peter baptized non Jews and Paul's main ministry was mainly to gentiles was huge, that's one of the reasons their fellow Jews hated them and Christians at the time. Even the Ethiopian in The book of Acts that received the gospel and was baptized taking the faith with him to Ethiopia. Diversity was apparent at the start of The Church in scripture, as there are many epistles talking about how such diverse groups of people can learn to worship and dwell with each other richly without conflict. I think this man saying that no one had preached such a message until Muhammad is not true. The prophets in the old testament said for hundreds of years God would save people from all people's and not just jews. The Prophet Isaiah preached it hundreds of years before the incarnation. The book of revelations teaches that many from all nations and languages will worship before the throne an sit at the supper of the Lamb and reside in the new Jerusalem. Not trying to take anything from Islam or argue, just saying that Christians had been preaching that, no matter how rocky the execution was.

+Dev M he didn't say that no one was preaching racial equality until muhammad peace and blessing be upon him. he said no one else was preaching it at his time. I mean Moses and Jesus probably preached similiar.
