Yasir Qadhi, do you have the right to say "So if you want Allah to preserve your wealth, give, and Allah will preserve your wealth." just because for once or twice it seems to us like Allah did so for such reason? I dont think this gives you the knowledge and right to make this claim about Allah. Maybe you spent for Allah from your wealth, and Allah has liked this, but now He took the wealth from you, because He knows that this is even better for you.
