This is such a poignant and comprehensive deduction of recent and past events. I am so filled with gratitude and humility and a plethora of emotions as i write this. I have personally always struggled with the question of why people of color( mostly blacks) are unjustifiaby mistreated in an Islamic ethos. But now i know how to seperate the man from the ideal. This situation with the murder of Mr. Floyd has helped to open up a debate that is sorely needed in the Muslim community. It is not that Muslims are bigotted around colour. Bilaal, Amar, Salman who were black and brown people from Africa and Asia. This proved that Racist people where ever they are or who ever they, they are just ignorant because who’s Arabs are? Are they better than blacks and browns even today ? what is the prove ? What kind of colour their skin is? This is my take a way from the lecture. If you are a muslim or an educated person and you are racist, You are just ignorant, you are nothing else. May Allah clean our hurt and educate us for his deen amin.

I am indigenous American, and a copper skin complexion person also born and raised Muslim. I see and experience the racial bias. We are not African-American, because we didn't arrive to America from Africa. Why are we referred to as African-American?
