- The 2018 Promaster city project gets finished and gets put to work. There is some mechanical work to do as well as putting it back together after it has been painted. I have been driving this for a little while now and it is very useful. I actually like driving it. We'll see if I still like it when it is time to fix it. Luckily it won't need and repairs for a while and oil changes on these are easy!

Came for the sarcasm, staying to watch the build. You never disappoint.
Thanks!
@ David P.
I thought it was the opposite...
The flippant and smarmy sarcasm gets old quick and detracts from the quality work happening. On another note, these little vans are perfect for mechanics and car hobbyists.
How come you had to buy it 8 times?? How does the bidding work there??
I choked on my coffee when you put the heavy impact up against the oil pan. That was hilarious.
😂😂😂😂😂 👍
JiffyLube will be suing for their tool back.
@@deanh7190 👍👍👍
😂😂😂😂😂
I had that from when I worked at Jiffy Lube. Everyone gets one on their first day to tighten oil plugs! 😂
Love the humor period without all the foul language. Nice build you do excellent work
Thanks!
Man I love your smart humor. I gotta do more of that in my content. Definitely more my personality. Lol
Thanks! 👍🏻

That little van would make a cool micro-camper.
I do enjoy your channel, I've never seen anyone with a sense of humor like yours, you are so laid back and I must say that the afternoon crew are really getting a good experience, they will know more about cars and trucks than any boy they meet. I didn't see Mr Spoty in the finishing of the van probably on his break
I started watching this build as I have a '20 Transit Connect cargo van for a daily driver. The little vans are good on gas and can haul all kinds of stuff in there. Not fancy, but they get the job done.
Slightly amused that the 2.4 is considered to give good gas mileage, here in Europe on the Fiat version of this van we get a 1.3 diesel that gets 60mpg, and you rarely see a petrol van or a 2.4 anything these days, Hard to believe Europe and USA share a planet sometimes :)
🇺🇸 I daily drive a sedan with a 6.2L V8. 🇺🇸
don't lump all europe together. in my country, everyone is driving 3.0l bmws and mercedeses
In the states we have a lot of room, cheap gas, and morbidly obese people who all drive huge trucks. So 20mpgs is pretty solid here.
@@daveh2612 hey! I represent that remark!
Cheap gas and no displacement tax makes it really easy to go big.
I just binge watched two project rebuild. I made sure to like and comment every video I watched. I’ve been subscribed for a while now.
I like the way you put down those that ask stupid Questions/make ridiculous remarks, you do make good Videos Scott so keep them coming 👍
If I came to deliver pizza, do not think you can break me. I used to hold the flashlight for my dad.
SHINE IT OVER HERE! I did my time as light boy too!

Aziz! LIGHT!
Loved this series - great find and great repair!
I'm really enjoying your content very much, mate. You are obviously a man who has vast experience in your craft. I'm learning from you, so thank you.
Glad to see it done
Always a pleasure to watch a pro. Thanks for making these.
Another awesome rebuild keep it going Scott
Always the best way to waste a half hour!
Love it, the commentary and the build info is awesome!
Thanks! :)
@ 16:41 Good to see Spotty on the job and his wide smiling Italian cousin Latch looking on from above 😉
I had a look where the the US version was made and I was surprised it's made in Turkey. I don't know much about these but they are sold as the Fiat Doplo or the Opel /Vauxhall Combo in Europe. I learnt something new today.
Great job .I missed you last week.
Thanks, I was busy picking up builds.
Great work
Hey Scott Scott from California I've had my pro master van for three years I love it. Love your videos keep up the good work.
Great stuff.. stay safe and be well..
Thanks, you too!
😄 'Crème brulée from your neighbor' that was a laugh..Final remnant of that wheel could have been a killer for sure.
I would not have wanted to be behind this thing on the tow truck! 😳
another beautiful job
your comment about the fiat wiring reminded me of a vespa I bought new... it tore the wire from the back of the indicator switch when I turned left!!
it was routed fine
just the wire was too short from factory!!
great video
best wishes to all
Friday is already the best day of the week, but getting home from work and watching a new video from Scott is the cherry on top!
Missed you last Friday-getting taxes done I bet! Good job on this fix, loved to watch the rebuild. Glad you get the help you need when you need it. Your straight faced humor is pleasant against other videos out there. Keep it up! It is always a fun video to watch! Thanks Scott! Rich
Good special effects! Great videos! I LOVE your channel. It have made me learn too many things about mechanics and body repair... Hugs from Mexico!
Lord knows that I love these videos... a breath of sanity in our crazy world! I'll bet you've never been accused of that before! Thanks for posting!
The look on your face during the "safety first" literally cracked me up!
Dude...thanks for the giggles, much needed laughs after a tough week at work.
I enjoy you videos but the part that always brings a smile is your brake install tool and tire mounting!
Looks good sir 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm glad to see you got that drain plug tightened to Jiffy Lube specs! Lol I definitely need one of those brake hammers.
Brilliant I look forward to your videos. The builds are great but the humor is greater!😂🤣
I'm probably the only person who is completely impressed with the tow truck driver's level of flock it. It takes years to get to that level.
Im thinking they are born with that attitude. Hook it and go,
It’s Never a dull moment with you 🤦🏽♂️
Keep up the good work 😎👍🏽
What the hell kinda pizzas that pizza lady delivering??? Damn that's a healthy job!
She's definitely delivering quite a few at a time, those arms wouldn't look like that carrying one at a time!
Enough pizza’s to get a free tank top
Those Chicago deep dish pizzas can get heavy! 😂
It’s his wife making him pizzas 🍕😂😂😂
I can't get over the angle on those rear shocks. It does look like a handy vehicle, for a Fiat...
That's what they call "digressive" valving :-D
It is a very handy vehicle, really good for city driving and not too bad for long distance driving either. Not bad for a Fiat built in Turkey.
Made my day !
This is the kinda sarcasm we need. Well done
There will be no shortage of that here. 😂
Never disappoints, great video as always. I could only imagine the damage if the broken rim peace got beyond the van. Who ever did this should be ashamed of him self.
It's hard to believe the accuracy of that torque wrench! But the clicks were top notch, loud and clear! And I see you used to work for Jiffy Lube by the way that you installed the drain plug, but I think you forgot the 4ft cheater bar on the filter wrench when installing the oil filter! Great video, love the humor.
Great to see someone putting a Fiat Doblo back on the road, but even better was the afternoon crew😁
Thanks for another great video! Wish I could remember what thing I did 30 seconds ago🤪
Clean freak! Present 🙋🏽♂️!!🤣👍🏽
That's a nice vehicle.
That man be a tire changing genius.
You forgot the most important part of the 'cold weather' package- diaelectric grease on the battery terminals and wire brush cleaning the contact points of the cables. 5 cents of grease will save you hundreds in tow fees and battery boosts.
Congratulations!
You make even a content about a bland Fiat Dobló....i mean, a RAM Promaster City worth to be watched!
Well at least we know we aren't getting trotted when we bid on iaa, thats good to know, really enjoyed this rebuild, great content as always 🙂
That's the first time I remember seeing your torque screwdriver. That's cool.
Satisfying to watch once again and makes me HAPPY I don't own any Fiat related products 😊😎
I wouldn’t blame you if you kept that van. It really is nice. Great for hauling parts, and the Afternoon Crew. The only problem is the gnome might move in.
Nice name for it
Scott, you NEVER disappoint! Keep em coming 👍
Thanks!
Cool car
I like your humor a lot, Scott. I was surprised that the van has a 2.4 ltr. petrol engine with an auto. trans. Here in the Netherlands, they sell it as a FIAT Doblo with a 1.9 ltr. turbo diesel, 105 HP with a 5-speed manual,
Nice straight cut on that console Scott!!! I was afraid it was a Spotty free video but saw his cameo while replacing the door panel. :D
If I cared about the cut you can be sure they wouldn’t have come out like that! 😂
Trigger warning for extreme violence against a Grand Am center console (You are lucky you survived, that brittle early 2000 GM plastic is dangerous). Also thanks for sharing the biding process!
Funny he doesn't use gloves or hearing protection most of the time, but ion a plastic console he gears up.
I wanted a Promaster city for some time! Van life was something I really considered because I have a stomach condition I’d like to build something with a functioning bathroom to be able to travel! BUT it’s too small. And I don’t want the bigger version for a few reasons so I forgot about that idea lol. Also didn’t have a 4 wheel drive version which was a big bummer too
Great video and you sarcasm bro 😎👍, I almost buy one those little van to make is a micro camper I like them the looks and the space they have.
You made that wheel liner install look way to easy! Also I don't think that oil plug was tight enough 😂
Never known you to let something go with non matching paint. Easy to see on the right side.
Scott it turned out nice, I wouldn't mind having one myself, even though I'm not a big fan of Chrysler products
i love his videos great job if i live in that area i would pay him to fix my car
Very pumped and beautiful pizza Girl!
There's a pretty cool mustang in the shop graveyard that looks like it'd make a great daily.
You three must work out a lot!
Nice to see your following the Goofy lube torque specs
Ok, so should I be worried about being so thrilled by Mr Spotty's appearance? Nice work.
Patience for sure with that bidding process. Not sure I'd have kept trying, but I get it, money to be made...or even a daily driver to be had for a bit. Plus it's a great little parts truck.
Yep, another boring build Friday....with Mr. Spotty causing multiple GMC badges in the console.
It happens quite a bit. Usually only once or twice.
I assume he has a number of vehicles on the go at any one time.
I know you don't intend this to be totally humorous, but your shows make me laugh!
Hey missed seeing a video from you last week. thanks for the video. Pizza girl looks like she works out.
I was in a better state! She does, pizza delivery is a physically demanding job! 😂
Ure Killin Me Smalls
Mr. Spotty made an appearance @ 16:24, near the bottom of the door.
Good to see he didn't go AWOL with the last vehicle they worked on.
In the UK the royal mail uses these (usually in Vauxhall guise) as mail vehicles so they must be fairly durable little vans
"Nobody like melted nuts." I'm guessing you're an old fan of the Microwave guys.
Nope, don’t know anything about them.
@@vehcor Their main catchphrase was "Nobody likes roasted nuts". It's an older RUclips channel, don't think they've posted anything in years.
Lol! Is it a good idea to microwave this?
@@patrickerwin4922 Winner!!
Would make a great Pizza Delivery Van for the afternoon crew
She hates this thing! 😂
@@vehcor
All the more reason to keep it
Pizza delivery Drivers DO come in handy at times when the heavy, or more intricate work needs to be done, a good pizza ain't bad either!!
She always seems to forget the pizza! 😂
Nice job on the build, good to see a vehicle made for real work, not a country club trophy truck or bro dozer.
Looks like Mr. Spotty got really slammed hard in this vid!!!
One day he's gonna get even with that fiat guy!!!
was going through extreme withdrawal and finally got my Vehcor fix , Ill be good for another week or so
Looks like the perfect chase van. Always chasing parts and never know who is driving. Maybe for pizza delivery
Ah man, I was looking forward to big rims and a top end stereo, on your Fiat Doblo van 😢🇮🇪
Next time! 😂
That’s a nice mustang
Oil plug tight jiffylube spec 👍👍👍
I can definitely see the usefulness on the vehicle, makes sense but man it would be hard to be a daily driver…🥴…
legit work putting humty dumty back together again. Enjoy your videos thanks for putting them together.
One day, Scott, you'll run out of Grand Am consoles and hate yourself for cutting one! hahaha
I literally picked up a '19 promaster for my radio shop; haven't done anything with it.... but, my console looks completely different - probably to clear the rear partition.... I also don't have sound deadening on my inner rear fenderwells; which is kinda weird -- but mine isn't the SLT trim. (The only trim!) i also found that the non SLT trim does not have the 'trigger' style volume/channel controls behind the steering wheel (backside of the wheel) which seems dumb, as half the controls are on the front of the keypad already..... but, i do agree, it's a zippy fun little go-kart.
Can't believe she doesn't just bring you a pizza!
Right? You had ONE job! 😂
Glad your back, missed you last week ,don't do it again.
If you like the milage, you should try the 1,6 Turbodiesel engine available in Europe... :) Nice build.
People have nothing good to say about those other than the mileage. We only get one engine choice here.
14:26 I made that mistake once.... when the oil went out it sounded like a high pressurized soda bottle being opened.
Watch out for double gaskets!
Another quality production Scott and even an appearance of the experienced afternoon crew!
Looking forward to the next build.
Do you have an idea of how much time you spend weekly chasing builds and parts vehicles?
The pizza girl is jacked. All that time in the gym.
Chicago deep dish pizzas are heavy! 😂
Scott, I see you're a fan of Andrew Camarata judging by your interior part adjustment tool. Nice touch.
Final vehicle looks great. Enjoyed following you along on this build. What's next? A daily driver for the Afternoon Crew?
I have no idea who that is. I don’t watch TV or RUclips much. Thanks for watching.
Go watch him, he has a unique way of fixing things 😎
The Snap-On hammer was priceless! Now I think the center console was priceless!
😂 Thanks!
Scott's using the 1" impact. You've been hanging around Jiffy Lube again!
