Hi Arun, I really liked your opinion. I feel very comfortable viewing your presentation. No pressure, no peddling no gimmick- just a layman's approach to the review-that's what makes you cool.
Thank you for posting this. It's really nice to see what the exterior and interior lights look like at night. Had hoped someone would post a video like this. Thank you!
I just purchased this car Saturday (April 25, 2015). I also had to do a lot of looking around and research to find the color combination I liked. In fact, I had to drive 2 1/2 hours each way to pick it up. Mine is the red exterior with the beige interior, like yours. (I may have even tried to get your color, Pacific Sunset, because I like it, too, but my wife does not care for it.) I think red is the second-most difficult to find, after your color. On top of that, most red Muranos have the black interior, which I really dislike. On top of that, most of the red models come stripped-down and don't have all the features I want, such as the S trim, or they are the most expensive trims. I wanted the SV trim because I wanted to stay within my budget. However, mine did come with the Premium Package, which includes the Moon Roof and Bose audio system, again, like yours. I also have the illuminated kickplates. Very cool. I don't think mine has the ambient accent lights in the doors. My wife and I both love this car. It's gorgeous. It's a very smooth and quiet ride. It has a laid-back yet sporty design. It's a luxury car without the luxury price.
Yeah thanks, it was time due to the length of time I held on the the first generation Murano. This was a major step up for me with the new design and panoramic view. My new one is white with back interior. Can't wait to put it on the road this year during my vacation.
For phones there are phone mounts designed to fit in to and tighten up in side of cup holders. They come in various heights. I found a 6 inch high one on the net. It worked out excellent.
If that overhead light bothers you, simply get a piece of colored tape that light can't penetrate, cut it to size and put it over the light. Maybe the dealer could disable the light as well. I do love that color combination as well.
Great Video. I'm looking to go drive one within the next week. Can you tell me if the view out of the back window seems okay when driving? That's the only thing that really stands out as it seems like the view is not that great.
Hi, yes its a bit limited, but it's just a matter of getting used to it. It's not up to dangerous levels, most of the time you would use the 360cam while backing up etc (which is super awesome btw) and if someone is tailgating you, you can anyway see that easily.
Thank you for the great video. I'm thinking to get this car and I really like the interior, but I'm still confused because I have 3ys son. Do you think that the Kashmir interior is a useful for daily use with children??
Definitely not advisable. I do not have kids and I have to take extreme care constantly. May be you can get some kind of a cover for the back seat. At least the front seats will stay neat longer. And you will for sure need that front seat kick protectors.... lol
Thanks for the tour! Did you think about a hybrid? I'm considering one, but don't know how long the wait will be. Nice to see your night view. Couldn't you just put a block/masking light over the inside light? (That would distract me too) Not a lot of excess noise alerts, right?
thanks Pamela, when i got this there were no talks about a hybrid version, also no word yet on how much the mpg diff is to justify the $3k premium. I got used to that small light now :) . does not bother me. There are not many alert sounds and whatever are there are not blaring.
yah, it's a tough call with the mpg difference. Think I'll hold out anyway, I like making a statement for the environment. Sounds like the hybrid is a go now with the EPA posted a few days ago. Glad to hear there aren't many alert sounds. Thanks again for your comments Arun. Happy driving!
Congrats on the purchase bro, very very clean, this and the rogue are my top 2 choices when i upgrade at the end of the year. Quick question what are your real life mpg numbers looking like. Oh and also lol @ u still having the plastic on to retain that new car smell. Awesome vid
Hi, thanks, I average about 19-20 mpg, 60% city driving. Lol yes the rear plastics are still there, whoever gets in, says I love the new car smell, it's almost 4 months old now. So winwin :)
Awesome video! Great job. I have a first generation Murano 2007 and love it. When I rent a new SUV vehicle I always laugh and still prefer my old Murano. The comfort and performance is awesome. I hope to get one of these new ones in a few years. I love your interior color. Lucky you.
I really like your Murano plus I like the color combo as well. I personally think that this will be my next purchase very soon, and the color combo that I am thinking of getting is the Gun Metallic Exterior with the Mocha Interior but it will be SL AWD trim. Hope you're enjoying your new ride.
Yep, I fell in love with this Murano ever since they hit the dealerships so I'm going to save up enough money to get one of these. I also was thinking about getting it in Pearl White Exterior with Mocha Interior as well but I'll see where the road leads me to.
Farhang Hessami Hi Farhang, it's a good buy, not a great one. Get it if you love the look, don't expect great quality. I spent $46k including taxes, not worth that imo. Feels more like a $35k vehicle after driving it for sometime. To confuse you more, i still love it but will definitely not buy another Murano lol
Your Pro's Vs Con's are very informative...Great Job, I'm waiting for the 2016 Version with the 300HP Maxima's Engine, hopefully Mated to the AWD set up.
D Redd Out the door this came to 46200 without any rebates or promotions. The dealer threw in the accessories for "free" My wife corrected me :) , the final price was 46200 - 1050 ("accessories"), so about 45k
the Murano is the safest SUV in the world. It can absorb a back, side, front hit and roll over!. Think: Nissan 370Z.....that's the Murano's platform frame its built from, plus the 370Z engine!

Thanks elowite, Yes, layman opinion is exactly what it is. Will name my future videos that way :), unless I really know the nitty-gritty
Thank you for posting this. It's really nice to see what the exterior and interior lights look like at night. Had hoped someone would post a video like this. Thank you!
glad the video helped, thanks :)

Nice, Yes getting this interior color is hard a at the moment. Red with tan is cool. Have a nice time with your vehicle :)

these is the car I'm saving up for right now I absolutely love the sun kiss pearl platinum edition
Thanks for you video. I have a Platinum/Tech model on order, and your vid lets me experience some of the new Murano's cool features.
Nice, Yes platinum +tech pkg has some nice features, could not go with other trims.
Thank you for the great video. I'm thinking to get this car and I really like the interior, but I'm still confused because I have 3ys son. Do you think that the Kashmir interior is a useful for daily use with children??

I can't wait to buy this beauty

Ike Phipps I have the first generation Murano, but it has the CVT and 3.5L as well. Last fill-up I got 20.2 MPG, about 85% city.
Just got mine in white, and I simply love this vehicle. I brought the SL model.
+Ricdaij , nice , must be exciting. Enjoy the vehicle Ric. :)
Really like the MURANO
Great no nonsense video. I have a 2014 Rogue SL but my next ride will be a Murano Platinum in 2016.
Thanks, yeah heard they might get the lane assist feature (which I had no clue that the current gen did not have ) and a hybrid version for 2016.
Awesome video! Great job. I have a first generation Murano 2007 and love it. When I rent a new SUV vehicle I always laugh and still prefer my old Murano. The comfort and performance is awesome. I hope to get one of these new ones in a few years. I love your interior color. Lucky you.
Lol, thanks :)
How the Murano doing any issues with it and how many miles on it now.

Arun what is the update on the car after two years? I'm thinking of getting a Midnight Edition one.

How about the materials in the dash, are they soft to the touch?
there are both hard and soft finishes. more hard than soft i think.
Your Pro's Vs Con's are very informative...Great Job, I'm waiting for the 2016 Version with the 300HP Maxima's Engine, hopefully Mated to the AWD set up.
Thanks, looked at the new maxima, very cool. Nissan is definitely coming up with cool designs. Please do post a video after you get it.
Awesome review....very limited and specific. I have a Murano 2005
Wish you could show the interior accent light in the backseat, too!
I have that in the part 2 video :)
Does it have the ambient lights on the back doors too?
Lol, I have not noticed that till now. I will check it and also will post a night only video by Friday.
Yeah that would be awesome! Cuz I remember Murano has ambient lights at multiple spots!
Good video my friend! How precise is fuel gauge?
Thanks, the analog Guage is good, but the miles left digital guage jumps from 25miles left to 0 within about 2 miles.
Nice vid :) I have a 2010 Murano CVT SL AWD :) I think Nissan is the best in design and performance :) The Murano is the world's best USB :)
SUV*** sorry auto correct failed
thanks @gaee2000 , this vehicle fared well in the crash tests, saw the test video
You know you're indian when you keep the plastic on LOL. Either way beautiful car....the colour is spot on and the leather is a beauty
D Redd , My accent gives it away anyway lol :)
Haha that is true...if you dont mind me asking, with tax, how much did this car come up to?
D Redd Out the door this came to 46200 without any rebates or promotions. The dealer threw in the accessories for "free"
My wife corrected me :) , the final price was 46200 - 1050 ("accessories"), so about 45k
Arun Post damn! Id hate to see what the price in Canada is. But you literally paid full price for the vehicle!
the Murano is the safest SUV in the world. It can absorb a back, side, front hit and roll over!. Think: Nissan 370Z.....that's the Murano's platform frame its built from, plus the 370Z engine!
no its not built on 370z platform.....370z is way....smaller. btw i have 2016 murano
Why would you need so many water bottle in a car?
that was just for scale
Design is modern but the engineering of the car is poor, lots of problems.
