2015 Nissan Murano - 10 months 20k miles
Просмотров 52 тыс.9 лет назад
After driving this vehicle for 10 months and with 20k miles on it , here are some thoughts on the experience. Hope this helps potential buyers and for some general knowledge :). UPDATE I got the sunroof fixed yesterday. It was similar to what i read on online. There is a sequence. This is what the mechanic told me (unfortunately it was trial and error for him too) So you shut the vehicle off. C...

Weather Tech digital liners for a 2008 Honda Civic
I have a 15 murano platinum as well, new to me... but the cargo area light is pretty poor. Anyone done any mods or have any suggestions to improve the lighting back there? coming from a 2011 acura mdx the murano's cargo area lighting is really pretty poor.
Really like the MURANO
REALLY Like the MURANO
So how did you get the latches on the drivers side mat? thats my problem, thats why im watching this video
Your gas pedal is under the mat 🤣
Are they projector beam halogens onnthe 2015(non-platinum trim)
Thank you!!!!!
U r a cry baby the only issue is the sunroof
Hi what name this color called factory name
How many miles does it have now and how's the Jatco CVT doing?
OTRO VIDEO DE LO MISMO.
I got a 2 door 9th gen.. i can't find anything but the 4 door mats.. does anyone know if they would fit my 2008 civic coup?
How the Murano doing any issues with it and how many miles on it now.
Design is modern but the engineering of the car is poor, lots of problems.
Nissan is one of the worst cars you can buy.
Coolest things about the platinum murano are: cooled seats, surroundview cam, panoramic sunroof, TSR traffic sign recognition, of course thenamwzing style including20" wheels

Not sure why the CRv is not cross-shopped with rhe murano. They are both 5passenger suvs driven by CxvTs. Obviously the murano is more premium inside and out. Faster. Bigger(passenger volume=108vs 104) italso goes further on a tank of gas. They are both high on safety marks but murano even beats the CRv in comfort according to reviewers of the 0-gravity seats. Crv has no panoramic moonroof option., no surroundview camera, no cooled seats, no 20"wheels. As far as the oil diluted turbo, nissan's VQ is more poweful and more rekiable it uses a timing chain vs timingbelt. And as far as looks go; it is frumpy vs amazing!
Agreed. The latest CRV is still a decent upgrade design wise compared to the boxes before. If on a budget the CRV is a great option imo.
Arun, this is an excellent review. How has the Murano held up over time at this point? My wife and were looking at new 2019 Highlanders ($30k for cloth and manual seats and way less features) today compared to a certified 2015 Murano Platinum Edition with 50k miles on it ($24k and looks very clean inside). I think we're going to go with the Murano at this point but are a little nervous to be stepping away from Toyota reliability to take a chance on Nissan (we've never owned one so we're just unsure). Has yours been pretty low maintenance? Thanks!
Thx Matthew. I can't comment on a Toyota as I never owned one. But I have had great experience with my Murano. I have about 97k miles on it right now. Maintenance wise the only big ticket items I had to do were, all 4 rotors ($900 at dealership) (acceptable for that mileage) and had to change 2 of the 4 oxygen sensors ($400 each) . As long as you are getting some warranty on the certified murano, you can go for it imo.
LA QUIERES ASI TE CUESTA $60,000...
Agreed, but my $19000 civic has smoother plastic finishes. And most I listed are nice to have, not must haves.
You should go and make your own cars.! I don’t think you’ll ever be happy with any cars out in the world right now lol
Lol nice idea
Have you traded for a 2019 yet? How many miles do you have now? Have you moved on to a Honda passport or a Toyota rav 4? Did you get a Ford edge?
Nope, still have it. At about 95k miles. My next SUV will be Rivian. Cannot downgrade to a Rav4
@@arunpost9991 I saw a 2015 platinum awd for 21000. Is that a good price. It only had 20000 miles. Or do you think getting a 2019 would be better?
@@johnhaslett6714 21000 is pretty good for that mileage. As long as there is some warranty, go for it imo.
@@johnhaslett6714 and they did not change much in the 2019, just smart phone support added and some minor cosmetic updates
hmm not sold but not totally turned off...not sure..hard plastic they are? hm
Man, you are too picky.
TLDR: The sunroof switch is faulty. You are welcome.
You said it’s hard to keep it clean, why didn’t you get the black interior
It's hard, but it's maintainable, this interior is so beautiful, could not go with black :). 4yrs now, I think I maintained it pretty well, even with a dog.
My dad has it on lease, the Sv trim 2017 and he has 23k now. It’s pretty quick and the gas mpg is good. Compared to our old edge that we had, it’s better in very way. I’m convincing him to buy it.
@@iketanikoichiro3519 yep, I am close to 90k miles, still runs great
My dads 2017 has 22k miles and he has no problems, but hey, not everyone is lucky.

That thing is a cheap sh*t it bands over time.It looses its shape. Low quality cheap plastic both Weathertech and Huski or whatever
I was going to buy some for my Honda Accord 2009, what other brand do you recommend?
My dads Murano has 22k miles yet it’s audio works fine
Thank you very much.
Hello Arun. Could you tell me the exterior color code that’s on the door tag? Thank You!
Did the driver side seat frame broke yet? LOL If it hasn't broken yet.. just wait for it.
Bryan Chance ha not yet, did it break on yours? :o
Sure did.. I swear I'm not that fat either. -:/
Bryan Chance I gained quite a few recently, guess i should diet now lol. How much did the fix cost though? Mine is out of warranty now :(
Hi Arun, how do you feel about the cvt? I'm thinking about a murano but have heard that cvt's can be really expensive to fix if anything goes wrong. Has it been reliable thus far ? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Great video and very helpful thanks !
John L., I did not have any trouble with the cvt on this. I have close to 80k miles on it now. The pseodo gear shifting still feels like when I bought it. Yes cvt fixes can be expensive but Nissan transmissions have a good rep so I guess if something goes wrong it's just bad luck :).
How the Murano doing.
john1240able Still good, some squeaks and rattles but still going good. Have about 70 k miles on it.
wow lot miles you drive a lot. Are you still on the original tires have you replace them.
john1240able I had to change at 50k.
Arun Post Ok thanks by the way, what brand tires did you replace them with.
john1240able pirelli scorpions
About the bumpy ride in the rear... how much of that could be related to the Platinum trim having those low-profile tires on 20" rims? The lower trims have 18" rims, which means more cushioning from the higher aspect tires. Might be worth seeing if someone with a lower trim level actually has the same issue. Although it's an expensive thing to do, aftermarket wheels and tires to go to something cushier might help if that's the case. The vehicle is anyway big enough that having such narrow 235mm tires hurts braking performance and handling. I can only guess that Nissan went for those narrower tires to help improve gas mileage, but I feel like safety and grip should still have some precedence -- save the narrower tires for the Murano Hybrid.
Parashar Krishnamachari, hi, yes i heard the 18inchers are "better" from a friend of mine who has the SL version. But he did say it was not much of a difference. I compare it with an MDX or RDX, they are awesome in this aspect. I won't be keeping this vehicle for too long, so might not invest in new wheels.
You complain about about the littlest things, get a Ford next time
Yep, if it had major problems, I would be busy running around the dealership or ramble on different forums rather than post a video here. Also, if these complaints are that tiny, shouldn't I stick to it instead of getting a Ford? :)
Great real user reviews! Have you ever had 4 or 5 passengers in the vehicle? Wonder how this vehicle performs with a full load of passengers. Any CVT issues so far? How much is it to renew the Nissan Connect services? I was told the Nissan Connect service allows you to remote start your vehicle from your cell phone...is this true?
sohosterable hi, thx. Yeah I had the car full of people, it ran well. Never got any cvt issues. I stopped researching into Nissan connect, but I think I will ask my dealership if they will upgrade on my next oil change. Will update here once I know.
Funny you mention the bumpy ride, it’s been by far the best riding SUV i have out for a test ride so far.
Wasup Fool As a driver yes, it's good, not as a rear passenger in my experience.
Was the nissan connect updated?
Makan Delrahimnia Possibly, but I never checked it again, as I don't use it at all, except to connect to Sirius. I think I will check soon.
Great video. Did you encounter any wind noise coming from the rear area of the panoramic sunroof at high speed?
lowKut, thanks :), no I did not notice that yet. I have 60k miles now, 40 of them on highway.
lowKut
l. want to buy that car but am at TANZANIA HOW CAN I RECEIVE THAT
The only thing which makes me nervous about the Nissan cars is the transmission (CVT). not sure how much reliable these cars are compared to Toyota, when it comes to longevity. Lately Nissan had some problems with the transmission CVT. I don’t know if these newer models are carrying forward those problems those issues.... however the driving comfort and the looks are great for Nissan Murano 3rd generation. Overall it’s a decent car.
Well I like the fact you explain about your experience with Nissan although I will be getting this soon thanks a lot for the heads up tips
Aisha Khan thanks, enjoy your ride soon :)
Yes but I have questions I live in Michigan we have rush hour in the streets here and less rush hour on the highway with this suv what’s your experience with crowds and highway drives
Aisha Khan I drove it in NY rush too. If you are coming from a small car, it might take a little learning in maneuvering it. The turn radius is decent though. Highway drives are very comfortable, no complaints there.
Well I have small car it’s not a suv but I drove the rental suv of Nissan rouge it was great 👍🏻 and I loved the Nissan so I’m thinking to buy something little bigger like your suv
Aisha Khan ah so if you drove the Rogue, this might not be too much of a challenge. Just slightly bigger and more powerful.
Are these mats worth the money...
For phones there are phone mounts designed to fit in to and tighten up in side of cup holders. They come in various heights. I found a 6 inch high one on the net. It worked out excellent.
Arun what is the update on the car after two years? I'm thinking of getting a Midnight Edition one.
Farhang Hessami Hi Farhang, it's a good buy, not a great one. Get it if you love the look, don't expect great quality. I spent $46k including taxes, not worth that imo. Feels more like a $35k vehicle after driving it for sometime. To confuse you more, i still love it but will definitely not buy another Murano lol
A run, love your genuine comments! Nissan should have you as a product tester on their vehicles BEFORE production! Kudos to you!!!!
Hi, good video thanks, still relevant to today's model. I just got an 2017 SL and many if the concerns remain. The most frustrating for me are 1. The Nissan Connect, i feel disconnected. I change cars every two years and feel like I have stepped back 4-5 years in technology. I thought I was getting CarPlay but that model had not come out yet and the dealers salesman scammed me on the functionality. 2. The steering wheel, it is the ergonomics that are no good. I recently rented a 2017 Rogue while in Vancouver and it had a D- shaped steering wheel with a much better layout (and without the rough edges that you identified). The volume controls are low and I find myself searching for these all the time (eyes off the road). 3. The hood design and glare. I really don't find that polarized sun glasses are an answer. This is a safety issue and should be addressed in the design, not in one's choice of accessories. A matte finish on the turned in section of the hood or a flatter design with fix this Nissan you should address this!. Other than that I really like the car, it rides nice on the highway (18 inch wheels on my SL).
Do you feel the Ford Edge is the superior vehicle?
HALWG51 not superior really, but has some things/features better engineered than this imo. Did not drive it much to know how better or worse it is than the Murano.
