Hi! I'm the one that made the Minecraft frog on insta. I also made a Minecraft Allium flower, however with the flower I did use black boxes as a base and added the color on the outside. Doesn't look too bad as the black that peeks through would look like normal black lines between blocks. Might be a cheaper option for anyone wanting to try making something if they don't mind the black lines between blocks! I need to post my Allium soon, just trying to finish a clay pot for it. And also while making the frog I did find just building the boxes while adding to the frog was much easier for me. Just wanted to share those tid bits! Thanks so much for the great craft, I love how my frog and flower came out.

Maybe a fun idea for your next project is a kusudama ball (modular origami term) from the rose unit. If you want to try this idea I would suggest looking up “polygon origami”. He has a tutorial for the unit and a tutorial of how to make a chain from a few of these kusudama’s. If you like the idea pls let me know. How did youget the specific colors of paper? I want to build a penguin out of cubes but I just cant find the right shade's of colors every blue is way too saturated
I usually check online, and if I can't find it there I head to my local craft stores. They usually have a section with tons of colors you can buy by the sheet. It's hard to get the perfect shade, but I can always find something close 😄

So the cubes are fully connected to the other cubes. But the bee is hollow, so I've only created the outer shell of the bee. I hope this answers your questions! 🙂

I did this kind of work for years making stuff and my family kept saying stop making this stuff I wasteful and I just quit then looking back all those years I guess this stuff was not for me .
You can't connect anything diagonally. For example, the parrot I built was supposed to have diagonal wings, but I couldn't do thay so I had to design it differently so it would look diagonal.
I started to make a Minecraft Lama for my mom and so far I have spent 22 dollars I’ll edit my comment on much how more I need to pay further on Edit: spent about now 60$ for more stocker paper and equipment
Then two things could happening, 1) paper is too weak, be sure to use strong cardstock paper, normal paper won't work. 2) It isn't being built correctly, watch step by step carefully and be sure every time a piece is added, the flaps end up on the outside. These can be tricky to build, but I'm sure you can get it 😄

I found it easier when connecting to 2 or more sides to just build it on the sides instead of connecting them
i decided to fold a square paper in half and cut it instead

What weight is your cardstock? Like gsm or lbs? 65lb can be flimsy, so 80 lb cover is recommended to be stronger 😄

What are the edge cover pieces used for? I’m building the diamond pickaxe
Covering the flat edges on the sides of the pickaxe! Makes them flat, instead of having flaps out 😄
