What about a mimic? You use the shulker model for when its hiding, which it does when the player is within say 30 blocks, with it mimicking the surrounding blocks. The only tell being the split where it opens.
However like wolves they attack when hit... Or when the player has diamond, which it eats

I'm gonna be honest, the Abyss Elk is REALLY cool and I can see it being like a boss for a deep dark theme biome in the overworld, but if I can give some critique, I feel like the lasers are a little TOO much for an abyss mob like this.

Give it some different attacks and tone down the possible epilepsy risk and it would be a really awesome mob
I'd say just give it the skulls some melee attacks that put its antlers to use and remove the lasers entirely

should probably remove the Abyss Masks as they also shoot lasers and the Abyss Elk summons so much its just laser spam
besides that its a 10/10 visually, maybe 5/10 fight wise

yeah, much as i like these vids, and think his models are really cool, if any were added to minecraft it would make all the normal blocky mobs just look so bland by comparison. even the warden is just like 5 rectangles and a set of horns, with all the work being in texture not model.
the most complicated model is probably the dragon, which even then only has big rectangle pieces, no extra angles or smoothing out of corners, etc.
to make something actually fit minecraft he has to lower the polygon count significantly.

The abyss elk probably has to be my favorite one out of all of them but i kinda wish it was a peaceful creature cause that would've been amazing to probably see from a distance

My honest opinion about the Mob Testers: Beef is chill, Kevin is smarta$$, cooky is ACTUALLY smart and Mystic is as toxic as a nuclear creeper. No offense, Mystic, but to you even a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (100 zeros, phew!) HP fish-zilla would seem like a joke. Like, BROOO, life is'nt Beevis And Butthead! calm down, Cornholio. But on the other hand, i agree... You would just DIG IT. My advice: Go torture Teras with a minecraft mob looking like a mix of a glow squid, a dragon, da wither, a chinese dragon and then give that amalgamation YOUR HEAD. And then, if you're done, ask him how many times he died trying to beat it. Wether he answers 1 or 1000X, Just say it was super EZ. Good luck!!!

As cool as the Abyss Elk is, theres way too much laser spam for it to be considered a fight in general
remove some of the mobs and make it shoot lasers less, maybe give it some new attacks that are more abyss themed, and it’ll be way better
What Mobs would you all want to play with?
They'd need a slight re-work to be more Survival-friendly, but it'd be nice to know. 😊

The abyss elk couldve been a creepy creature that blended in with the bushes in the forest like sirenhead, like a shadow that camouflages and attacks at random from a an unseen direction.

I think if there were less lasers, the Abyss Elk would’ve been a more solid yes. I’d love to see a mod pack with all of the mobs you’ve created added to it! I’d download it in a heartbeat!

I think the abyss elk is such a cool mob and idea. I love the whole mystical forest, the design is just dope nd the light attacks are pretty cool too. However, I think it needs to be adjusted power wise as it is too strong as it is now. Give it a larger cooldown between the attacks. Make it so it can only focus on one ortwo players at the time. And the little skulls and masks seem to be needed either completely removed or should only fly around trying to hit the player on contact. As it is it is just too powerful.
Are you ever gonna release these mobs as a mod? so much effort is being put into these you should unleash these on the public.

I think you should bring the rating system back, it's much more accurate and gives us a better idea on how theses modders feel about the mob.

The Bunyth very much reminds me of a Fable franchise creature in its animations, summon/effects, and whimsical nature and I LOVE it.

0:42 if you have the opportunity to, can you recreate this mob with the scythe being an item that it can drop as loot? Because I'd love to see that scythe as something a player can weld (this would also be asking to re-design it to be flat like other tools in Minecraft)?
I think having all your mobs summon stuff makes them a little less unique. It’d be cool to see more peaceful stuff from you that aren’t big bosses. Cool video and amazing animations

Themeatically a few of these feel like they'd go together in one mod. Especially Othtan and the Abyss Elk
Honestly the abyss elk seems like it'll be more fit if Minecraft added a new dimension. Like maybe the presumed portal from the ancient city where there are like abyss creatures since that'll be cool
Teras obviously really put in the work for the Abyss Elk’s design and it’s probably his favorite by far.
The last one after defeating should drop the Abyss Mask that allows the player to shoot light beams

I think the elk is perfect as is. It looks like a great end game boss where you would need maxed out EVERYTHING to even stand a chance.

I think the abyss elk would really fit for a painting as said in the video, but also a cool secret boss, like place soul lanterns stuff like that then enter the painting like a nether portal

the bunyth had too much hp with how hard it was to hit and with the potential damage it could do, it being structured as more of a glass canon would've been a little better, something the size of that thing looks like it'd perish when struck 10 times by a stone sword, let alone a (i think) an enchanted iron sword
The last bosses world would be perfect for the wardens dimension

maybe actually I think the Abyss Elk would be so nice as another mob for “The End” but not too hostile “in my opinion, they should be similar to Llama” unless u looked at it 2s up like Enderman…… because the end is quite lackluster with just Enderman and Shulkers 🥹🥹🥹

Love the Abyss Elk, but I think light attacks are wrong for it. Being a creature of the dark, the light would hurt it. I think it should inflict some sort of blindness as its direct attack, with perhaps pillars the player lights to weaken it.

The abyss elk looks SO GOOD
it would make for a good end boss and biome
but, it would have to be toned down heavily, it's too flashy and would be problematic to add to the actual game solely for people with epilepsy
it's also stupidly difficult, maybe on hard it could act like that to some degree but the amount of stuff going on would have to be toned down heavily, as well as being able to be hit so quickly by the beams of light that can stun lock you, raise you into the air, and then kill you before you even have time to do anything about it, that's a bit too much for the normal gameplay loop of Minecraft combat, as well as just being extremely frustrating to the player to deal with
if it didn't hit so quickly or drag people into the sky, like it just hit you, knocked you away from where you got hit a bit, and then the beam went away shortly after, or stopped following and then went away, it would be a lot more enjoyable
i could see this fight just getting so overwhelming way too quickly but the bases for something absolutely amazing is so prominent in everything on display
it would work as a new end islands biome if they were to add it and some other biomes sprinkled around
or maybe a cave biome would work as well

32:02 The Abyss II mod will be really fit this boss so catch to look imagine that.
Of course, it may have been intentional, but it is unfortunate that does not have the concept of using a charge attack as an attack using the blindness effect, even though it exists in vanilla. I mean, what do I know? I'm just a passing artist. I think it would have been more difficult to play fair if it had been a color scheme that shared the Warden's color palette.

not only do you show the process of making it, your mobs always look amazing! sure youre just recreating a drawing, but even that takes skill, let alone all the animations and attacks are made up too. youre awesome!
The Abyss elk was definitely my favorite, i think the lasers were a bit much and that it should only become hostile when you mess with its baby though
You should do a tutorial on how you create these custom mobs and add custom attacks and effects!
The abyss elk is a great mob it should be added for sure, but their should be a limit for how many of those floating skulls it can spawn that way there would be a manageable amount of lasers

11:57 I dont see it added to minecraft since its a very specificly themed mob like you wouldn't find it in like the forest and stuff only in construction zones
these creatures are always great to see be great to see some of these beasts in mods. the elk be great after it has been tweaked for balance purposes.
The one thing I don’t like about these models is how un-Minecraft they are. Like if mojang where to add the chainlings they would make it a square not a circle. But the models are still really good.

I feel to add extra difficulty to the chainlings for when it get to its second phase it causes random earth fissures like makes cracks or small pits in the ground

The Ganglion Is Very Unique Mob, I Feel As If There Was A Nightmare Dream Realm The Ganglion Would Be The Boss, The Little Eye minion Things Would Work Well for Like Mini Boss Battles. Mabey The Eye Minions Would Be Fought before The Ganglion, And The Vine Arm Tentacle Things Would Work Well As "Hell-Ivy", The Hell-Ivy Is A Living Vine That Which Spawns In Mostly Rotting Corpses And Blood Springs, With It's Signature Move Being The " Death Spin". The Death Spin Is A Dangerous Flailing Action Caused When The Hell-Ivy Feels Harmed Or Endangered, Its Mostly A Calm Fungi-Like Vine Which mostly Only Attacks It's Prey, The Death Spin Has 30% Chance Of Causing nausea, 20% Chance Of causing Blindness And 50% Chance of Causing The Withering Effect.
The Oth`Tan Is A Quite Hostile And Mystical Mob, It Dwelled In The Depths of the Crypt For Thousands Of Years, Now It Lays In The Crypt Of Minecraftia, (Minecraft) It Waits For Travelers To Awaken It, Once Has Been Awakened Is Described by The Travelers Whom Survived Its Wrath Said It Was A Levitating Skull Till The smoke infested The Other Travelers Lungs, The Travelers Whom survived didn't give Much More Of A Description Other Then It Had Large claws That Could Cast Dark Magic, A Large Elk's skull And A Smokey Body That Would Not Only cast Dark Magic Through It. It Would Summon Other Dark Magic Claws To Reach From The Ground To Take You Down Into The Underworld.

The Abyss Elk Is A Dark Elk That Stalks In the Depths Of The Darkest enchanted Forests, It Had Taken All The Light And Living Energy From The Plants And Other Living Organisms, If you Have Attacked It Or It's Forest It Will Use The Light It Had Sucked From The Forest To Cast It Towards you, It Uses The Light Sometimes As Meteors To Cast More Damage To The wonderer Who Lurked Into The Abyss Elk's Forest Which Blinds Them By Their Mistakes, Now Unable To Escape The Wonderer Has To Prepare Themselves To Fight, unknowing Of What's To Come Their Way, The Abyss Elk Has Powerful beams It Can Use To Attack The Wonderer Aswell As Being Able To summon Abyss Skulls To Hunt you Down At The Abyss Elk Targets You To, The Abyss Skulls Slow You As The Abyss Mask has Been Summoned Into the Battle Aswell.. What Si Next To Come For The Travelers?

I think it is weird to put such a focus on the combat. The strength of a mob is not tied to its looks, and definitely not tied to a drawing of it. I think it would be cooler to see non-hostile or neutral mobs with unique interactions instead of just a bunch of combat.
