True. I enjoy watching cooking videos but I make all my own food homemade. None of this baking mixes, already made doughs, sauces, season packets. One reason is because all these cans, packets, bags of stuff are loaded with salt and other disgusting chemicals. I like being able to control the sodium and seasoning myself.

🇬🇧 Living in Britain, we dont have some of the many things Americans take for granted.
Plus everything in UK is much
    Smaller!
I just watched a recipe using chicken breasts & nearly fell off my sofa, at seeing the size of them!
Our chicken breast just about fit in the palm of your hand unless you bash them out
Ours tend to be thicker though.
Id love to be able to buy those
    Pillsbury Dough packages here.
I adore Cinnamon Rolls but its a long process to make from scratch, the Dough packs are brilliant!
Im sure years ago, in the 1970s
Britain did sell them in supermarkets but whether they didn't go down well or at that time we werent so au fait with foods from different countries
I wish i knew if i could buy the dough packages here!
Also the tinned chicken pieces looked nice, never seen that here either.
    I love making Dump casseroles
Its quick but nutritious & enough for growing kids & the family, also economical too.
I make things with ingredients i have in my fridge or cupboard &
We call them Pot Luck Dinners.
My family love them & my friends always ask me to cook a Pot Luck
Meal & often bring food, unknown to each other, then in the kitchen we set about making
A meal with all our combined ingredients!
We've created some super meals out of things we would never have dreamed would go together & many have become family favourites!
Its also a great way of bonding with friends & inviting new ones
    Anyway, enjoyed your video,
Ive decided to make a Dump casserole for tonights meal

Yes, a few have said the same thing but both me & my daughter have bought frozen chicken joints that were very peculiar in texture & form & we came to the conclusion it was 'manufactured"
      Chicken!
Even before cooking & after defrosting the raw flesh was very odd!!
      Shudder!
I always buy my meat & poultry at very reputable outlets
I usually go to my local butcher where i can see the actual animal im buying.
Ive recently stopped eating meat & chicken, purely because of personal preference
I love fish best & get mine at our local fish market on the Quayside straight from the fishing boats!
Still i sometimes look at the huge beefsteaks & pork joints that Americans seem to enjoy
      Makes my tastebuds tingle lol

Ok, As a Floridian I wondered where they got these recipes. We have year round growing of fruits, veggies, etc. Then I got off my high horse and thought what if I had to work all day, 3-4 kids/husband to feed, limited grocery budget, limited time, etc. Some of those cans plainly labeled "organic" and every recipe had protein, carbs, and fresh or canned vegetables. The people in the video were not over weight! Has anyone checked out the price of a steak lately? This also was a family meal intended to be eaten together, a rarity in many busy households. If you ate these meals with a salad and fresh fruit for dessert, it was healthy meal. The meals also featured various ethnic foods. The meat ball-pepperoni bake was high protein, even pasta, yogurt, cheese has protein and active families need some carbs. I didnt see anything fried or high fructose. Bless these ladies for being so creative.
