  • A vocalist/ "blues pianist" strides a version of "The Shout" definitely on par with Art Tatum and Herman Chittison. recorded May 19th, 1947 from Volume 4 of THIS IS JAZZ THE HISTORIC BROADCASTS

    This is great,Kirby Walker was awesome,and one of the few I never heard till now...this recording backs his reputation, terrific..

      any more footage of this guy? apologies if there's an obvious answer, i'm asking before googling. first time hearing of him as well. he was also a vocalist?@@SugarBearMosher

      @thenewninja4726 youtube his name, according to youtube and discogs theres maybe 10 to 15 records involving him on piano, vocals, or both. I did a quick search and cant find much info on him at all. I will seek more in depth in the future
