Manga is a great medium because they tell all stories without restrictions . Sometimes movies just can’t reach the same spot because it takes u out of the story because it has real people in it

While I absolutely claim Watchmen (esp the Director's Cut) as my favorite movie, the series just shit all over it. The Boys, and recently Doom Patrol have been my favorites! I still think that Watchmen (the movie) was ahead of it's time.

Agreed! I was hoping Titans would be as good as Doom Patrol or The Boys but it’s been hobbling along. Still worth a watch especially the latest season.

The watchmen HBO TV show was absolutely atrocious. There's a reason why it cancelled after just one season.

I wouldn't call movies like Spider-Man or X-men or Iron Man or captain america civil war or Avengers infinity war junk food movies those movies have a lot of heart and quality

I’ve watched philosophical takes on superheroes and anything culture related videos on RUclips. This conversation skims through it and treating the zeitgeist of catharsis lightly.

The Watchmen graphic novel and movie are phenomenal. The HBO series is a woke cringefrest.

Idk, I didn’t think the Dr Manhattan in the new Watchmen was bad. I thought it was a new and honest but unique take on an incredible story and character

Except it’s not “The Watchmen” it’s just “Watchmen” and the graphic novel is a thing of beauty.

Better he think “the watchmen” rather than nothing at all.

Joe doesn't care about comics or comic movies dude lol. Of course his discussion on it isn't going to be nuanced

@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 I suppose you are right, but geezus, what a dense opinion. Especially in contrast to the Movie vs the TV show. Also, if he had been paying attention they 100% explain why Dr Manhattan was not a glowing blue orb, Ugh
