You are correct! At the time of ordering the m2 a few months ago I was offered 75k lowered and all they said as long as I have all stock parts. The market must have taken a dump and that’s cool but silly to trade a better car that I’ve already eaten depreciation on for the sole purpose of making content!

It's advisable to always bring your car back to stock if possible when trading it in🤔 i do think the depreciation on your car was a lot , factors other than the miles have to be the reasons. As for the m2 g ot mine in August last year manual with carbon pack in blue and is enjoying every moment except now it time for storage for the winter.

Unfortunately like many others over the last two years who bought cars at astronomical prices, you’ll never recoup your money on that M. This is why the repo market is so hot right now, people are just walking away from these bad investments.
Am confused with that argument, at the height of the pandemic you could order your car at msrp from the manufacturer from the dealership. I waited 5 months for my G80 and paid msrp of course with options, that's still the case today. I ordered my wife's suv from the screen as well. The beau of the pandemic was that we traded my M340xi and wife's suv for insane amount.
he's talking about used cars this did not apply to brand new cars but at a time when interest rates were low and demand for used cars were high because of the supply issue with new cars the used car market prices were sky high. now that the interest rates are high the prices for used cars dropped@@jahudini
From late 2020 to early 2023 MSRP’s were artificially inflated and astronomical “market adjustments” were added as more customers bought the hype of “not enough cars”. The car market began to crash at the end of 2022 and into 2023 with each market reduction lagging 90 days behind wholesale market. But the dealers kept pretending like there was a car shortage and customers fell for it. Essentially buyers got the rug pulled in 2023 and car values have dropped 20 percent and are on track for more decline in 2024. Even Tesla owners took a huge hit. Bank repos of many cars are WAY up every quarter and only getting worse. It sucks that most people have no idea what’s going on.

Your custom build on a BMW website is irrelevant because that MSRP is controlled by BMW and was overinflated back in late 2020 when auto manufacturing in Germany was greatly reduced. Now factor in currency inflation and you’re paying the same price today for what would have been the top of the line BMW 10 -15 years ago. That fact that you’re boasting about paying full MSRP is a direct result of falling for the hype and becoming conditioned to paying higher prices. You don’t have to believe me when I say the car market has crashed, just look around you at used car values and new car inventory. The writing is on the wall and like many others who put the minimum down payment for a car, upside down auto loans by the tens of thousands of dollars is the reality. The poster of this video just showed you this.
The thing I hate most about the LCI BMWs is that iDrive 8 screen. I don't mind the M2 exterior though.
My brother just got $65500 for his 21' M4 comp with 19k miles, and it wasn't in the greatest condition. He was the 2nd owner. Traded for a slightly used 22' GT500 😮

Man you trippin! I sat my friends m2 and I can assure you that if you are 6'3" or over, that is not the car for you. I was crunched under that wheel like a sardine. And you a bit bulkier than me. Did you actually sit in that car? NO ROOM!! M4 all day!!
That offer must suck but the m4 price is going down on the used market I see a lot going for 65-70k so 55-60k is a good offer on the market
not for his car he has carbon bucket seats the only cars that are in the 65-70k range are the cars with lesser spec options and 20k to 30k miles
His car isn’t fully speced and has the standard basic headlights and people are going for the AWD , any mods he has done hurts resale or tuning it hurts , fair offer considering the car and the spec 60k max going to depreciate even more soon

carbon buckets alone make a big difference you will not find any used m3/m4 with that option only special order g80s came with the carbon buckets most of the used cars you see only are the lesser optioned cars either rear will drive or no bucket seats@@topshelfornoshelf2158

Afford=lease/finance with credit union rates and a decent job with not other big debts and single with no wife and kids to be responsible for them too. Afford doesn't mean he paid the 100% value of his car in cash 😅

M4 to M2 is a clear downgrade in my opinion but m2 can be pretty clean with some mods.
These cars are just not worth it ... especially brand new. The best option is to stop driving the M4, pay it off, and wait for the market to adjust before selling. That or return it to stock and rent it out to cover some of the interest paid. Your aim should be to cover the gap between the owed amount and market value. We all took a hit. Covid really screwed us over.
I’ll add another option. If you can’t pay the loan balance down quick enough (within 3 years of purchase) to catch up with the depreciation, you’ll end up stuck with that car until it becomes highly in demand or you pay it down to around $30k. The only other way out is to roll that negative equity into a much cheaper car or get a loan to pay the sale difference and just walk away and find a beater. The depreciation will only get worse as this market crash unfolds.

Cheap relative to the typical M2 spec MSRP(build wise) and the interior feels “cheap” for a 60k bmw. 60k is still a lot of money I don’t want you thinking I’m rich by any means bruh
@Slowspeed the leather on your car is the only difference between that of the m2 in the spec you were trying to get 🤔 all other materials except the wheels are m3/m4 quality . The carbon pack gives you the top leather seats. The car build quality is beautiful 🤔 5 months, no issues despite the bias people saying it was built in Mexico. Mexico has nothing to do with material choices for the car , engine, and other components were assembled else were while final assembly under bmw people from Germany, Australia, and other in the factory.

Have you considered it could’ve been a waste of my time as well? I expect the dealership to not tell me they are lowballing me due to suspension modifications on the car when at the time of ordering they told me as long as I have stock parts still I’m good.

L decision the m4 was 88k, the m2 was only 66k and they offered you a 55k trade ?? the car would’ve only been owed 10k and u wouldve had a paid off brand new m2
Uhhhh no. Pretty sure m4 is not paid off. They would give 55k for a car that he probably owes way more than that. That 55k would go toward that price and whatever is left throw it on top of the m2 price.

The feeling cheap inside is normal. The G87 M2 is manufactured in Mexico so BMW could save money and still charge the same. It's a business. BMW cares about their profit margins
The plant has nothing to do with the material. Firstly, the m2 has a spectacular build , the same leather on the previous m2 is used except for the carbon pack seats, which i have 🤔 other components are taken from the m3 directly. That statement is bias in 🤔 . Models own from bmw include 2007 650 i , 2008 e92 m3 , 2022 x3m40i and 2023 g80 m2. You can find out about the plant and how the pre assembly or assembly parts are done.

@@trevorbailey1448 He's comparing the interior of the M4 to the M2. I was talking about how BMW moved assembly and production of the M2 to Mexico to save money. BMW isn't a non profit or charity. They primarily care about profit margins and running a very profitable business and labor in Mexico is cheaper than labor is Germany or Austria.
False, m2 feels cheaper because it has more plastic/rubber in detriment of leather on the doors and the dash than the M4 and M3
