Yep most people (even most agents) don't know about it! Luckily, there is still a lot of untouched areas plots of land in and around Charlotte. If you'd like to find a home that doesn't have that issue, we have a database where we verify that if it's ever (or never) had waste dumping on that land. Here to be a resource :)
Appreciated the honest pros and cons of these areas. One major factor you didn't mention was how some of these areas, like Ballantyne, have close proximity to well-paying jobs (corporate, upscale retail, health, hospitality). Thanks.
Great point as well! Balantyne/Pineville in particular have incredible proximity. Soon-to-be River District and near northwest neighborhoods also will be offering some great proximity and value.
I’m not sure if I’d consider either of those part of Charlotte metro, but definitely growing areas! Dallas, Lowell, Monroe, Mount Holly, River District, Harrisburg, Locust ALL growing crazy fast.

Assortment and most of the info I have at this point is from unofficial sources working directly with the project. But my understanding is MI, Lennar, Pulte, and more. Official info is unlikely to be formally released for another 6-12 mos. Also just tried calling but I think the call dropped, give me a buzz anytime.
Welcome to the Carolinas! Give us a call/text (if you haven't already) and we can find a time to discuss what you're looking for and share our expert advice while you're here! 😊
Loved the video. I'm familiar with Huntersville, Matthew, and Minthill, where I am currently selling my home as of today. I was looking into York SC as well. So, I am browsing in some of the areas that you mentioned. Where does Lake Wyle fit in? I have been looking in that area as well but didn't make your list. Can you elaborate on this area, please? Thank you kindly Pat....
Thanks for the note Pat! Lake Wylie is also great, and York and York County have some great options that are more economical. They’re just a bit further out for the most part. I can give you a call later today to chat more. Great meeting you briefly yesterday!
Hi will like more information in the new development. I plan to retire in 5 yrs. I will be in my 50’s. I been to Charlotte in 2019 for new year and I think it is a nice place
Absolutely happy to help! This is all the info available at the moment, but if you send us a text or give us a call we can update you as more info becomes available and share any additional options that you might want to know about! Text or call is easiest!
All depends on what you’re looking for. There’s some great homes with larger lots there that are affordable. It has all the basics nearby and good accessibility to the city. BUT it’s not super urban. What are you looking for in your next home?
@@LivingInCharlotteTeam My girlfriend bought a DR Horton home in a brand new development . The street name is Sycamore crossings Court. We stayed in it for one night when she took possession of it. We’re planning on moving there in three years when I retire she’s currently renting it out. it seemed like a beautiful area but like I say we were only there a couple days. I was just wondering if it’s a safe community?

Thank you for mentioning the ash dumps because after doing some research I found there’s a lot of ash dumps all over NC and it’s very hazardous

Maiden and Newton are the next Hotspots for the Charlotte Metro area!
I’m not sure if I’d consider either of those part of Charlotte metro, but definitely growing areas! Dallas, Lowell, Monroe, Mount Holly, River District, Harrisburg, Locust ALL growing crazy fast.
I hope those areas don’t grow. We do not have the infrastructure for that area.

Gaston County
I can’t stomach the traffic across 85 but if you don’t go into the city for work it’s great!
Do you do rentals? I am interested in renting for a year and then possibly buying if that's the place for me. Thank you

What about Huntersville been there its really nice
Love Huntersville personally - it’s just not one of the ‘hottest’ upcoming areas at this point.

Personally used to live there and enjoyed it. There are other more 'trendy' places to live, but also very popular.
How bout Harrisburg?
Big fan of Harrisburg! Almost included it but there are a lot of wonderful suburbs here right now, hard to choose just 7!
