I don't know if I've even thought about just eating until I am not hungry anymore, instead of eating until I'm full. Thank you for this. Everyone is always asking at meals if I'm full yet, or making me eat everything on the plate. Thanks for this new understanding!

Also eat slowly (as you would during a meal with talkative friends). You can eat so fast that you cram it all in before your stomach can shut off the hunger sensation (and even before feeling full).
Eat slow and when you aren't hungry anymore your done.

12/22/22 been overeating again… on top of grains and butter today 🤦‍♂️ remember when I had die off and also strong stomach acid from not overeating and fasting etc. I am getting cracked heels & bleeding gums/ eye bags from excessive carbs. Probably deficiencies from it & food intolerances like gluten probably 🤔 no right thumb itchy though.

Paul. My body seems to like 2 or 3 solid meals per day. Most of the time 2 solid meals, one mid morning, and usually a solid dinner. Sometimes a small lunch or smoothie before dinner time. I've felt like for a very long time, that this is what my body wants. However, I feel like when I only plan to eat 2 meals in a day, that I end up over eating. My main concern is always to get enough nutrients, I always feel like over eating a little bit is better than not eating enough with all the problems that can lead to. But I just feel like it's really easy to over eat. And I don't like snacking, probably because I focus on high fat meals which are sustaining. Ive tweaked my routine constantly for years, and have experienced being able to eat a very small amount of food if I am eating the right foods for my body. It sometimes amazes me how long I can go without eating large meals and have energy to work, and work out all day long. The high fat really seems to be beneficial in this regard..

Good day, Paul. This is very enlightning on the topic of physical and psychological aspects of food and stimulant addiction.
    1) Can you suggest a literature or any other source of information on eyes and problems with eye sight, possibly natural eye sight restoration? I have a pretty bad eye sight one eye and I understood that by not wearing glasses I created a further posture imbalance.
    2) As I understand you've practiced a lot of different spiritual practices. Qigong, Taichi, Shamanic practices. I've came to a confusing part. When I'm doing any practice and an exercise has an image(ex dragon in Qigong), I'm becoming this image during the practice. In Orient practices - dragons are wise beings. However is Slavic vedic practices(these practices are where I feel my roots are from) dragons are the source of negativity and evil things. The question is how do you practice different spiritual practices where one symbol can mean opposite things?
    *****************Some suggestions*******************
I also have a suggestion on the topic of FAT in the book HTEM&BH, that maybe could be included in the later releases of the book.
    1) Maybe you could mention - Interesterified Fats, since they are positioned as healthy(because of 0 trans fats) and are becoming a new darlings of health at least in my country.
    2) I think it is important to mention that Omega-3 in the plant world are not equal to those that are in the animal world(fish oil).
SInce, I don't have clinical experience, I don't know the significance of such information, but I think these things are rather useful to know.

Hey Paul. Thanks for all the work you've put to your nutrition program, I think the primal pattern diet or the metabolic typing diet works great for me, and it makes sense too. I do deviate from it after a hospital trip due to mental illness, there's always some lady in the hospital pushing me processed sugar and I haven't had the backbone to say no. Also all the passiveness of the hospital environment and no privacy gets to me so I start a binge-eating habit. I bought your audiobooks about four doctors and been listening to your Living 4D podcast and they're an inspiration. If more people read your "The Last Four Doctors" ebook, world would be a better place I'm sure. Organic food as you recommended has helped me with energy levels, and when I cut the binging habit out, my energy and vitality levels go high up, and it feels absolutely great.
I think it's important to know when you're fighting a losing battle and when you have a chance to make a break for it. Thanks to all you've taught me via the books and videos and all, especially about adopting long-term habits (rather have one habit at a time slowly but surely as you said, lasting changes), I've managed to land in a better place in life. Keep up the good work :) love and chi!

Can you suggest a literature on the topic you covering in this video?
Also which books to read first from Rudolph Steiner, you mention him very often, and also Osho(which order)...

    • @PaulChekLive
      @PaulChekLive  10 лет назад

Steiner has about 165 books in print with his name, on MANY topics. I'd suggest you search out a Steiner Library or book store and review the topics and see what your soul guides you to.
"Autobiography Of A Spiritually Incorrect Mystic" by OSHO is fantastic!
My approach to food and eating is the product of my life experience and 30 years in the business of coaching people to health. I don't know where you can find the approach I take written down; most authors have some bias toward plants, animals, or some variation on the theme. My suggestion is to look into books on mindful eating, or look at taoist approaches to eating.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek

I am a 5'7", 125lb, 28 year old male. I had untreated multiple pinched nerves in my spine since I was probably 7 or 8, have been helped some by chiropractic for the last 2 1/2 years. I stay active but am in too much pain to lift weights and my nervous system is weak. I've been eating a lot recently since picking up an intermittent/mini fasting routine - it seems like if I'm going to gain weight I need to do it soon before my T levels and energy go down even more from aging. Being this weak as a young guy sucks, but it will REALLY suck to get even weaker than this when I get old.....
Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

      Hi temo,
My response to all such dietary approaches is the same:
      1. There is no such thing as "the best diet". Each human being has unique individuality in their genetics, psychology, and therefore their physiological needs. Our nutritional needs change with activity levels, psychological stressors, pain, sleep deprivation, environmental influence, and much more.
      2. Following what is written on paper, or following a diet because someone else looks or feels good on it is no different (functionally) than seeing an article about an Iron Man winner, or professional bodybuilder, or super star athlete of any type and thinking that if you execute the same training they do each day, that your body will look like theirs... Each person is in a "process of becoming" and that process has many ups and downs, each of which requires a specific balancing response; no "expert" can determine the nature of the ups and downs, and therefore, can't ever effectively "inform you".
      3. When looking at the works and teachings of people like you've mentioned in your question, it is always good to see "what is working FOR THEM". To the degree that you gain ideas or concepts you can TEST on yourself, you can gain valuable feedback about what your body needs and how it responds to different inputs. That's the only way to really benefit from "expert advice". Any program that doesn't teach you how to improve your functional relationship with yourself is doomed to failure because the person you are today is not the person you will be tomorrow (after a heavy workout, a challenging day at work, a fight with your lover, a death in the family, etc... Only by learning to listen to your bodies messages (instincts), and developing a functional intuitive awareness can one truly learn to eat, move and be healthy. If any teacher is not teaching you that, they are merely selling your their "personal formula"; even if you were an identical twin with that expert, I can assure you, your diet needs would not be "identical".
      4. TESTING: Testing is also a relative concept. There are many considerations:
      A. What is being tested?
      B. How is the data being interpreted; what are the norms based on, and who was the study population?
      C. Tests are "snap shots" of the moment the test was taken. They do not inform you of "causes", only "effects". For example, if your testing informs you that your body is running too hot, you can either take an ice bath, exercise less, or identify possible changes in your diet and life(style) that may be responsible for increased heat in the body. Most people, for example, test out to have some degree of adrenal fatigue, but all the supplementation in the world will not help if you don't identify the behaviors and beliefs that are responsible for overtaxing the body-mind, fatiguing the adrenals and all related systems.
Tests can easily be used, and presented in such a way as to "bolster a case", but when you have enough understanding of physiology and all related factors, you can look at the testing and the proposed meaning of the test results and often see that there is a LOT OF GRAY AREA being exercised. In fact, the very physiological basis, methodology, and interpretation of MANY tests is suspect, which is exactly why they keep improving on most test procedures, such as salavary hormone testing, food alllergy and intolerance testing, and many other types of tests.
      5. WHAT IS HEALTH? There is a wide variation of opinion on "what health is". Some feel that you should be skinny and lean as an expression of health. Some feel you should carry a decent amount of body fat to be healthy. Some feel you should have lots of muscle and be able to run up and down mountains all day if you are healthy.
Most people's definition of "health" is based on what they see in the mirror. Health is really a body-mind reality, and seldom do you get to see into the inner workings of the various experts touting this or that approach. Therefore, you may see someone that looks good on the surface, but may well have tremendous emotional highs and lows, chronic relationship problems, hidden addictions, fetishes, etc. So, what is health to you? Is your definition of health a perfect match with this or that expert, and if so, do you have the same genes and programming?
My approach is not about being fanatical. It is not about telling people "what they must eat, drink or do". It is ALL ABOUT DEVELOPING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF AND GIVING YOUR BODY-MIND WHAT IS NEEDED SO YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY LIVE YOUR DREAMS AND LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
The wise will inform you that each step of the way, through your experiences with this or that supplement, food, diet, expert, etc... you are being given the opportunity to become "aware" of what is happening. That is an opportunity to learn and grow. If people keep giving their power away to "experts", they don't learn anything, and as you can see by looking around everywhere you go, such behavior ISN'T working :-).
I hope that helps all the readers better understand the position of Paul Chek and the teaching model of the C.H.E.K Institute.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek

A whole lot of ZEN, but not much practicality. So, day to day, what does all that mean to me? Should I wait until I'm hungry and then eat? Should I eat several small meals a day , so that I DON:T get hungry? what?
Is my BMI a factor? My body type? Does exercise figures in there? Types of exercise?

    • @davidzahry
      @davidzahry 7 лет назад +2

My friend, you must go beyond the idea of perfect planning. Be adaptable and listen to the body as it sends messages to the best of your ability.
Exercise and types of it play a major role. Sprints and squats will have you in need of much more meat than walking and gardening even if you are a carb type in my experience.
As far as your body type it's not nearly as relevant as your metabolic type which can be understood by simply reading either How to eat move and be healthy by Paul or Metabolic typing diet by William Wolcott.

MakeItRed in my experience of being overweight i can say that my subtle gentle energy as you described it mainly came from my insecurities and self-consciousness. in other words overweight people are sometimes very aware of themselves, making them gentler to everyone else. but again being overweight was not optimal for my health and well being. my energy feels much better when I am not.
