    Very simple but effective explanation. I would like to ask if there is a way to make J or L cuts using the Speed Editor, I recently got mine and have had a lot of fun editing with it in the cut page but I think that in some cases is pretty limited as it works mostly to rough cut but is not as good a tool for refined edtiting.

    • @team2films
      @team2films  Год назад

      Currently, creating J and L cuts the way demonstrated in the video, aren't possible with the speed editor. The speed editor still is a great tool to help work quickly, ergonomically and to refine your edit. We'll make a video on it soon. Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciate it. :-)

    great tutorial, but what's makes me keep on Avids is the ability to do all of this us gin just the keyboard. Is there a way to do that on resolve using just shortcuts? I mean, you can split edits placing your mouse over the audio track, both in cut and edit page, but makes no sense if you have to do that in a 90min feature film. In avid you can do this simple by selecting the track and doing an Extended, the edit goes to where the playhead it is.

    • @team2films
      @team2films  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much. Yes, that's possible in Davinci Resolve. In fact, Resolve can even be configured to use Avid hotkeys. Resolve even has purpose built keyboard controllers for editing, which makes it possible to completely edit without touching a mouse. You can choose whether you prefer a mouse based workflow or a keyboard based one. You might really like it!

    Hi, loving the tutorials, please assist I’m a beginner. I had a client who kept on making mistakes in the speech of the video we were taking, so we took multiple videos (a lot). How do I select the parts of the speech from a video and cut the stuttering then blend all the videos to be one full complete video of a speech? Please help

      All the best with your project! It sounds cool.

      I’m just getting started. I was wondering why my edits were sounding off. Found the description of j cut but didn’t know the name of the cut. Just that it’s what I needed to learn to make my video better… I randomly found the name j cut scrolling IG where I immediately found it. It’s not a profession but I’m glad I found this vid because it sure is helpful with my hobby!

      @team2films  9 месяцев назад

      @@ColeyLox So glad it's helpful! If your video is out of sync with your audio, another thing you could look at is making sure you have linked selection turned on. We're currently working on a complete course that will take you through the entire editing process. Hopefully it will be finished before the end of the year. Thanks for watching and commenting. It's great to have you here.
