When you're watching the how to videos online, one after another, after another, every now and then you get to one that is so well made you pay attention, notetake nearly every single word from it, watch it twice through, and even send it to a few friends. This is one of those. Very, very well made, excellently presented. Thank you. The hard work and quality of this video has me considering purchasing your larger online class after I'm done with a few others that were worth purchasing.

hey Parker, it's me Edward from Budapest, Hungary/Europe - there are no words how thankful I am. You are the one who also gives me new power, energy, motivation at all to do stuffs and you are still the number one for me! I remember your videos have been the very first ones to me which encouraged me to believe in myself and I can watch tons of other tutorials... the way you explain and demonstrate is the best all over the world! I am so thankful for you to share these cut and editing techniques, greetings from the sunny Budapest :)

Just to expand a bit on #5. Its important to think about eye tracing when cutting on action. You want the motion to continue into the new shot as well as the eye moment. That means that the point of focus of the two shots should be at approximately the same place so the eyes don't jump around. I frequently use the flip effect when cutting on action to get the right flow.
Just a tip for new editors.

Yes that was helpful. I have been 6 months into constructing a stage and preparing it for puppet music video. I am now at the shooting stage and wow there is a lot to think about. I've already written 70 scenes and what goes with them like camera angles, transitions, lighting and alternate scenarieos. It only 7 minites long but man I 'm a bit overwhelmed especially since I can't get anyone else to work with me. But that's OK because when it' done I'll feel more accomplished. Thanks for the transition hints. I will surely be using them. Hoping to finish this by the start of fall. Sad I was hoping to finish in the summer. But hey you never know. Will keep you posted when it is done. Would love to hear what you have to say. Thanks again

"Punch the screen Cut" or "Facepalm the camera Cut" are overused and cringy in my opinion.

Great work again. Glad you mentioned not to overdo certain cuts.
